Darius Garland could seek trade: 5 possible landing spots

He would be a great fit. Still 24 years old [https://bvmsports.com/2024/05/16/darius-garland-could-seek-trade-5-possible-landing-spots/](https://bvmsports.com/2024/05/16/darius-garland-could-seek-trade-5-possible-landing-spots/)

I’ve always loved Garland and think his on/off ball game slotted in perfectly with our roster, even back when he was drafted. It took me quite some time to get over my anger at Griffin for trading back in that draft when Garland’s offensive skillset felt like a near perfect fit next to Zion/BI/Jrue.

Trading BI for him now would require Griff to admit how bad they screwed that up so wonder if he would do it.

But I would take Garland. Though you’d have to either get CJ to embrace coming off the bench, or move him as well. Ideally for a athletic switchable center

But Garland/Herb/Trey/Zion/Switchable Center is a nice core and a starting 5 that is balanced on both sides of the ball and gives Zion plenty of spacing. Add to that our bench depth, and well, that’s a team I wouldn’t want to see in a 7 game series if healthy

So pissed off that we had the chance to get him originally back in 2018 but wanted Sideshow Bob instead

I don’t know how you could watch these past few series Cleveland has had and think DARIUS GARLAND of all people is the player that’s going to elevate this team out of play-in and first round exits. Y’all are letting these delusional flame wars between irrational BI stans/haters gaslight you into thinking Garland making $40 million a year will be anything but a Lavine/CJ level albatross going forward. It’s doubly hilarious because I see so many of y’all scapegoating CJ for EVERY issue this team has had in it’s 2 postseason appearances in the Zion era yet are turning around with a straight face and begging Griffin to give up significant assets for DG. Comical.
