NBA Insider Shams Charania dropped a lot of rumors surrounding Donovan Mitchell including the report that Mitchell may actually sign an extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The interesting Cavaliers rumor is that Darius Garland may request a trade if Donovan Mitchell commits long-term to the Cavs. Where does that leave the Miami Heat who are rumored to be interested in a Donovan Mitchell trade?

ESPN’s Zach Lowe linked the Miami Heat to Donovan Mitchell on Get Up. This is the 2nd straight day that the Heat and Donovan Mitchell have been linked by ESPN. If the Heat strike out on a Donovan Mitchell trade, could the Heat pivot to a Darius Garland trade? Garland is currently playing out a 5-year, $197 MM contract he signed after his initial rookie deal with Cleveland.
