Expected and could be interested is a big difference. He can’t shoot from the outside and doesn’t pass well, so I’m not sure I see Presti making a move for him. They seem pretty set on having 5 versatile players out there

Saw this earlier and I absolutely love it. We’d be dominating this series if we had Jarrett Allen, straight up. Jarrett Allen looked like an all star in February, and was a huge part of Cleveland staying afloat despite a ton of injuries.
He’s a borderline elite rebounder, and is a very high level defender. He has his limitations offensively, but sometimes you have to sacrifice the things you want for the things you need. This is a guy who put 33/18 on Gobert’s head this year. He’s more than a Gafford type of guy.
Shouldn’t take more than 2-3 firsts either. He only has a $20,000,000/yr price tag for two more seasons. This is the one.
I’ve always liked him from afar, and I think he’d fit in amazing culturally here. It’d be hilarious if he brought over the excited screaming when he gets hit with a defensive 3 seconds. I think J-Will and J-Dub would especially feed off of his energy.
Shai would have to get better at throwing lobs though, lol. He’s a Chet level finisher at the basket and is such an elite vertical floor spacer. He’s such a good athlete that if you park him in the dunker spot, I don’t think it’d harm the spacing. Think how Aaron Gordon is used in Denver.
Edit: He was also an All-Star in 2022.
