The Knicks Suffered For Two Decades To Get Here

The Knicks Suffered For Two Decades To Get Here

Before the Jalen Brunson era, the New York Knicks experienced 20 years of mediocrity with no signs of ever getting back on track. That’s why it’s so shocking for Knicks fans to finally watch a team that’s worth cheering for. Let’s take a look at how they got here.

I make all kinds of NBA videos which include analysis, player stories, countdowns, and mysteries. Make sure to leave a like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video!

  1. As Laker fan who's spoiled with so many Superstars and have witnessed my team won so many championships, I'm happy to see the Knicks have a winning culture 🙌

  2. Every time a big market team in any sport gets good after years in the wilderness people love to talk about how "it's good for the league when x team is good"

The Knicks are the only team I think it's actually true of

  3. Funny how they were building players that were all drafted there at first and their whole starting 5 were not even drafted there

  4. My best and favorite move from rose and thibbs was how they okie doked thr entire league by keeping the guy who they wanted in mcbride on the bench while giving rj grimes and iq all the mins so they could trade those guys later in 2 individual trades vs 1 while keeping mcbride who i am convinced was who they wanted all along

  5. I also love that the team has 3 teammates that have already played together for 3 years but won together also it’s fun to watch and I’m not a knicks fan

  6. The Melo era was handled poorly not because of him but bc of management attempting to make Bargnani work which was a huge mistake bc it didnt work with the players there. Chandler got hurt and KP's injury did them in.
Wrong the Knicks were not willing to trade the amount of 1st rd picks to get Mitchell and that was a great move

  7. Genuinely the most fun team to watch in the playoffs. Their off ball movement combined with their willingness to crash the boards makes them so enjoyable to watch.

  8. I watched every year I'd say in 20 years until this era there are maybe 3 players I'd consider good winning players Amare, Jamal Crawford, David Lee maybe Randolph but he became better after ny,.. 3 players every one else was a certified loooser!!

  9. Andy, you are a Knicks fan too, right?? Rejoice!!! I have been a Knicks fan since '98, when I was watching morning replays of basketball games, since In Spain we are +6 hours and all games were played in the early AMs. I was 7 back then, and it was the Heat vs Knicks series where we beat them in 5 with so much HEART and GRIT and TOUGHNESS that I became a die hard fan of this team. Next year to the finals, and then conf. finals the year after….. and then disaster…. Eddy Curry, Michael Sweetney, Jared Jeffreys, Chris Duhon, ufffff. The Melo days were also awful for the the potential team development we gave up to bring Melo. Now we are back!!! Finally!!

  10. I would argue the worst era for being a Knicks fan was the Phil Jackson/Steve Mills era. They blew up a 2 seed for people like Lou Amundson, Kyle O’Quinn, terrible signings like Calderon, terrible draft decisions like Frank, Cleanthony Early, we got lucky with Tingus Pingus. I would much rather have the incompetency of IT than have somebody like Phil Jackson blatantly destroy the franchise and it’s reputation.
