The Atlanta Hawks NEED To Do This With The No. 1 Pick…

The Atlanta Hawks were awarded the top pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, a surprise considering they had a 3% chance of getting the pick in the first place. The options they have are plentiful, considering that they could keep the pick, or package it for a more immediate impact player (obviously in a deal with a team willing to give one up for a #1 pick in this year’s draft). Between Alexandre Sarr, Rob Dillingham, Reed Sheppard, and others, the options for ATL are wide if they decide to keep the pick, but even more possibilites can be made available if they ship it for someone else.

  1. They need either trade picks or draft the other French man Zaccharie Risacher they need some that be wing they have c centers what need powers/sf Risacher in the long term with young male more since they then can trade Murray to which who need be one traded . In the long term make more since the draft another center

  2. What r u talking about, sarr can score at all levels, handle the ball from rim to rim, defend the rim and in space, stop tripping young guy😂😂😂😂

  3. You're looking at this the wrong way, there isn't any college players that will automatically start on teams that made the playin up, the bottom teams yes that's y they're on the bottom 😂😂😂🎣🎣 Atlanta isn't a trash team we have talent at all positions, O would be better than any C in college, there isn't anyone in college that could take trae, DJ, JJ or Dre's job, c'mon man this isn't a rebuild this is a upgrade, we can upgrade CC and Bogdan with Brandon Ingram, keep it simple, but u do need content for the podcast and it us an interesting topic the what ifs 😂😂😂😂

  4. Draft sarr trade young to Spurs for the 4th and 8th. Take topic with the 4th bronny at 8. Bron coming to play with his son and that's changing this franchise.

  5. Sarr has size at 7'1" something to me the Hawks desperate need , Capela is 6 ft 10 I believe, Okongwu is 6;8 or 6'9" . Sarr can score from inside and mid, if he improves his 3 point shot he'll be scary, I think having Trae,and DeJounte, you can have Sarr be a lob threat and protect the rim while giving you size.

  6. They could deal Trae Young to San Antonio and end up with 3 top ten picks in the same year to set themselves up to be the current OKC team of the future lol. Atlanta could be the Harden, Westbrook, Durant OKC team of the future if they set themselves up right lol.

  7. Sarr doesn't have to be first option, they have Trae and DeJounte for that, Sarr can be a good third option, if he puts up 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks in his rookie season that would be a success, most of the scoring is going to be Trae, DeJounte, Jalen Johnson , if you draft Rob Dillingham then you trade Trae to the Spurs for their picks, I say keep Trae, Murray, Sarr, and try to go get Brandon Ingram by sending out Capela, Bogdon and maybe you have to add AJ Griffin or possibly DeAndre Hunter, I'll have to play with the trade machine to see . I think you find a way to keep Trae (unless you find a way to get an upgrade defensive point guard), DeJounte Murray, Jalen Johnson ,draft Sarr

  8. Bro, the Hawks run was a fluke. The East is weak which makes it seem like certain teams that make the playoffs in the East are good but there not

  9. First off I am A 30yr Hawks fan. I get where you're coming from and don't necessarily disagree, but I think the biggest question for the Hawks is. Do you play this to try and win a chip right now, or do you try and play this to strengthen your present and future at the same time? That's what I think the pick of Sarr would do.

  10. The last time the Hawks were in the ECF, we had a monster front court in CC and JC. Capela and Collins were rebounding, shot blocking, rim running alley oop monsters that dominated the paint. Trae constantly fed them in the pick and roll and teams couldn’t stop it. Capela isn’t that anymore and obviously JC is gone, but we have his heir apparent in Jalen Johnson who is a budding star. We need another big with size and length that will grab rebounds and clog the paint. Sarr can do those things right away and he’s athletic enough to guard on the perimeter. The Hawks issue isn’t scoring. They can put up points as well as any team in the league. They struggle with defense, especially giving up shots at the rim. Capela and Hunter are probably gone to get under the cap. We need size and defense. Don’t overthink it. Sarr is exactly who we need.

  11. Phoenix!!
    Durant is getting old.. wait for them to call… #1 and any of there small forwards will get Durant!!

  12. @scootover7 He's not 7'1 not even 7' . He's 6'11 and not as athletic as his outstanding marketing package lets on. Ive watched his tapes since we won the lottery also in in the combine so far. His game and ceiling leaves a lot to be desired. I was so hyped thinking we were possibly getting a 7'1 "difference maker… Now open for a great trade.

  13. Reality set in for this Hawks fan. We should listen to trade requests. Spurs own our draft rights so the best option is to win now. Sarr fails the eye test when you look at more than just the highlights and Probably wont be the difference maker needed. If he was everything that media was selling then definitely, but at 6'11 no gaurd skills and less athletic than billed. We may need to pass. The 7'3 slow big boy from college looked more athletic on the 1st day of the combine.

  14. Atlanta should draft SARR trade CC and Bogdan for Brandon Ingram add talent and dump salary at the same time, Atlanta hasn't reached for anything it came to them, that's good management or lucky, I'll take both 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  15. The Hawks should not be thinking about right now. You need to be thinking about 2026 and beyond in Atlanta, I have no idea where the notion Atlanta is trying to contend for a title is coming from. The GM at the deadline said they were focused on the future, they are going to the best player and try to develop him. They have Trae to create and score, they have other bigs to play, they do not need offense from Sarr in year one. They just need to be patient in the development of whoever they take at 1.

  16. *Atlanta Hawks selecting the potential #1 2024 Draft Pick Alexandre Starr;

    *Hawks signing restricted free agent James Wiseman;

    *Hawks sign Vit Krejci to an NBA contract;

    *Hawks trade DeAndre Hunter and Wesley Matthews to the Washington Wizards for Jordan Poole;

    *Hawks trade Clint Capela to the Los Angeles Lakers for D'Angelo Russell and John Hood-Schino;

    *Hawks trade Trae Young, along with Bruno Fernando and Garrison Mathews to the Phoenix Suns for Kevin Durant.

    Proposed Atlanta Hawks 2024-25 Roster:

    [C] Onyeka Okongwu
              & Alexandre Starr;

    [PF] James Wiseman,
                  Mouhamed Gueye
    & *Hawks 2024 1st Round Draft Pick;

    [SF]  Kevin Durant,
                    Jalen Johnson
                       & Vit Krejci;

    [SG] Jordan Poole,
              Bogdan Bogdanovic,
                    AJ Griffin
                        & Jalen Hood-Schifino;

    [PG] Dejounte Murray,
                D'Angelo Russell,
                       Kobe Bufkin
    & *Hawks 2024 2nd Round Draft Pick.

  17. The hawks should draft Donovan cliningin out of Connecticut. Size and development with a trade up for pick 3 with multiple draft picks is a good deal.

  18. The Iso-Trae journey has run its course. His unwillingness to run anything other than his high pick n roll has rendered him a one trick poney and the EC coaches (Sproell) worth their salt have cracked that code. He cant get that game out of the east, they know how to shut him down and neutralize that scheme. His teammates know this and visibly displayed that while Trae was out.
    DJ can bring the collective team up 2 notches just by inspiring the effort on defense and sellin out for the little things.
    The philosophy to sacrifice the one for the many instead of the many for the one will show itself proven by dumpin Trae and getting everyone else involved more.
    3 coaches and how many players through a revolving door does it take to show Trae has to reinvent his approach to win at the top level. Hes good but hes also to stubborn to be as good as he could be.
    No defense
    High TO's
    Bad shot selection
    Year 3 of trying to shoot his way out of the slump
    DJ can lead this team no prob, draft Sarr and keep building your current farm system and whatever comes thru the trade.

  19. I love how yall comment on certain players. Dillion aint nba ready, Sar plays with grown men the past two years and have you seen his defense. It's Ben simmons level at 7'1 and he has a stroke and has handles. Look at the tape he playing against grown men,you know 30 year olds
