and you guys are facing elimination coming in here like how what do you think led to just the response that you guys had tonight we got Mike Conley back that was it what what does he bring to the table that just means so much to you guys I mean three for six from three 13 points just efficient you know he always going to make the right play this team does seem to have a toughness about it that whenever you’re down you pick yourselves back up what what do you think leads to that what you know um guys just believing in themselves um I think the last three games we was all down on on ourselves like just trying to point the finger blame somebody and then I think to today before the game the coaches the whole staff like they did a great job of putting a clip together as far as like the plays that we made the two games that we won against these guys and everybody like started to believe after that little edit that they put together and I can tell the energy shifted after that little um edit so that was big time I told them that was big time putting that edit together and coming into this game how did you approach it like what were you thinking that you needed to do in this game coming into it me individually um just shoot it every chance I get honestly yeah um I I didn’t I don’t think I shot it enough I’m looking at it I only shot 17 times but we won so I don’t care but yeah just shoot it every chance I get cuz last game they took the ball out my hands I was going to ask about the the other guys who then got a lot of shots I think between you Rudy and Cat I think you guys were 16 to 35 together and you got a lot of help from from everybody else how did you see that come together bro jayen played great tonight he was he took 10 shots and had 21 yeah he was he was fantastic tonight yeah for sure big shout out to him he was he’s the exactor of the team I think everybody knows it when he plays well we win the percent I don’t know the percentages but I mean I feel like when Jaden plays well we can’t nobody beat us so I mean him playing like that tonight it was crazy and what’s the difference between you bringing the ball up and Mike or somebody else bringing the ball up and you being on the wing does your mindset change to the how how does it work um I mean it’s a big difference I mean cuz last game I was trying to get people involved and be aggressive but when Mike playing I don’t have to worry about getting people involved that’s his job so yeah tonight it was no getting people involved for me I don’t think I had that many assists tonight um yeah oh I have four so I did I did what I needed to do a was hoping to get your early thoughts on Sunday you know they call the two greatest words in sports game seven with a one game uh opportunity to knock out the defending champs just how do you look at it um like you said they’re defending champs um so it’s going to be super tough they’re home they’re they’re at the crib they fans is crazy it’s going to be super loud but I mean I feel like as a competitor it’s like one of the best feelings in the world I’ve never played a game seven on a row but all my playoff experiences on the road has been like super fun cuz nobody’s on your side so I can just imagine how this game will be and like the fans so I’m super pumped for it like um I’m super happy I’m ready to play it as a leader how do you try not to get high on these moments as far as blowing them out tonight on that g just to carry it over I mean I wouldn’t it’s hard not to get high I would say but I think um that’s a good question I think it’s just you got to understand that we we we was here we won two games in in Denver and then came here and got spanked the next three games in a row so I think it’s it should be easy for us now to understand like um just because we beat these guys don’t mean that we going to beat them again we got to come out and play with the same um level of uh aggression and um if we do that we’ll be successful and going down going down injury oh um I’m feeling good yeah back um my my tailbone pretty much yeah that was pretty much going to be my question just what was what was the moment you know like for you just being on the ground like you were there for a minute the crowd hush your teammates crowded around you were you just trying to gather yourself gather sort of like the shock of the moment yeah I mean I fa pretty hard um and I’m used to Falling like that in football when I got on pads and stuff so I’m I’m well protected um I didn’t have any pads on the night so I felt that one for sure so yeah I mean it took some time for me to get get used to the pain but you know I’m good now and talk about the decision to put Carl Anthony towns on uh joic and how do you think that impact he’s been guarding him he’s been um he’s been guarding him the whole series yeah um he’s been doing an outstanding job the whole series um yeah that’s always been a match up every time we come out cat is on yic so um it wasn’t new today um I think the main thing today was his ass stayed out of fou trouble like I told him in the Fenix series that was all that was yeah I mean I cussed him out I cuss them out every chance I get bro stop fing like I think you guys see like if cat don’t foul we pretty much can win the game every time and tonight I mean he had three fouls but he did he only had three he didn’t have five so I told him today like if you if thank we thankful that you didn’t foul cuz if you don’t if you if you foul we lose cuz you the best matchup we got for joic like you do the best job on him you know I mean we coming to double but you do the best job standing up his first dribble and um he did that tonight man he only took 10 shots um we counted on him making the right play this morning they we was all on him like bro you got to make the right play we’re going to play off of you in the post tonight like they have no matchup and he did outstanding job of of just making that easy pass and when they don’t double he was aggressive and um yeah man cat played great tonight on both sides of the ball and you talked about the frustration after the three games was that a new experience for this group in terms of being low and and in big- Time games like this and and is there like growth and and and you know kind of a maturity that comes with coming out and having I mean honestly man I I don’t think we was low I mean from hearing the guys throughout the gym and shoot around before game five before this game nobody was like down on themselves you know pretty much I I think we always believe that we can compete with this team and um it showed tonight I mean it’s showed tonight man we played great as a team everyone knows you can score what kind of Pride or how did you embrace the challenge of checking guarding Jamal as much as you did um it’s what I look forward to I think uh I don’t know how long ago I said um I want to be able to I want to be the best player on both sides of the ball in the NBA and um like I told I think it was probably two years ago it’s something that I I always worked I’ve been working on and um it it all comes with being in shape and um it seems like towards the end of the season I’m always always tend to get in my best shape and I wasn’t tired at all chasing them around and and following him everywhere he went and contesting all his shots and he’s a great player man and feel like I did a good job tonight did you really tell the locker room staffer in Denver you were going to be back hell yeah they know I was in there yeah I told him I said I see y’all mother for game seven yeah
