what are your emotions how are you trying to focus headed into tomorrow I mean this another game in the playoffs we’ve been doing this uh for a while now it’s been a couple been uh a good minute but we’ve treated every game like it’s game seven so it should be no surprise we’ll treat it the same tomorrow how would you kind of describe the emotion couple days uh just we’re hungry you know we’re hungry moving like a wolf pack you know what I’m trying to say like all of us staying together we all want to win together uh and I think we just got a good sense of confidence right now um we trust the work we’ve put in throughout the season and in the playoffs and all the ABS and flows have come with it so just trust that uh the experience and the work we’ve put in will uh materialize to a win tomorrow Chris what you saying that in some ways game six might have been one of your best games uh what do you think of that do you agree with it and how much pride you takeen doing things other than scoring to help the team uh I’m just happy I was able to help our team I I I worry about the best or not I I can look at it in a different sense cuz we won so I’m very happy about that but uh I thought it was a game where you know my teammates were great they hit a bunch of shots we did played great team defense we got some steals got some turnovers and we capitalized on that got some fast break points something we’ve been laughing for a couple games so uh I thought we did a great job as a team and what’s it like for you to take on the three-time MVP and be the primary Defender oh it was fun I mean it’s fun to compete against the best so you know you get those opportunities to uh go against like you said three-time MVP now and uh a big fellow big man in the league that has a a lot of accolades it’s it’s really fun to go compete against the best so um yeah you’re established that now you’re you’re nearing 10 years in the league but you got a guy who’s 17 right yeah I think so yes you got the pension from the yes yes but you Conley’s at 17 years uh is there any any thought he’s 17 17 years out she just uh you know the fing nature of this thing for a and wanting him to experience this team success as a part of things and keep advancing for his sake as well yeah yeah I think Mike means a lot to all of us you know uh we we you know he said it before I think to the media but he mentioned that you know before we started the playoffs that this may be one of his best and last chances to have a chance like this of winning a ring or going deep in the playoffs so he’s willing to do whatever it takes he’s shown that every single day teammate of the year we all have tremendous respect for him we would love to be able to uh be our best especially tomorrow and continue this journey of hopefully getting him a chance at a ring and um I think all of us could agree that uh we do anything for Mike con and I think uh there’s a reason why he has so much accolades not only as a player but as a teammate um he’s a special human being how much more important tomorrow is it to make sure you’re playing with emotions under control as a team composure and all those things that you guys have talked about a lot in this series yeah I mean we’re playing against a really good opponent I’ve said it multiple times and um one one thing that this team does better than anybody is uh stays disciplined EX at a high level and we got to be willing to go out there with our composure uh intact and our execution at a high level if we expect to have a chance to win tomorrow so just going out there executing even better than we did in game six uh defensively and offensively and um continuing to uh play Timberwolves Timberwolves brand of baset this is series kind of a testament to the importance of whatever the stats might might say just making the right play in the moment absolutely I mean even last series proved that with us you know we’ve had games where we won and uh it wasn’t uh the people you think that were leading the charge even last game you know uh I know you talked about me with f thinging about me in the last game but jayen MCD was special and in game three in Phoenix series he was special as well he’s been special all playoffs uh doesn’t point I know everyone gets caught up with the points and the stats and everything like that but uh to win especially a championship to win a game especially in the playoffs and against these teams that we’ve been playing against with some of the best players I’ve ever played uh it takes a composure and it takes an execution and a discipline that can’t be matched some days you’ll be able to have go out there and get 30 points 40 points and some days you know for us to win we’re going to need you to get 10 and that’s just what it’s going to be and um I think what’s great about this team is that we continue to show the trust that we have in each other the continuity and the unity that has made us special we felt all year not only obviously the talent from top to bottom of our roster but the the camaraderie has been one thing that has taken us so far in the season and it’s been showing itself throughout the series you know up two games then go down two games instead of splitting hard and kind of disbanding and not staying together as a team we’ve decided to gel even more together and we got ourselves right back in the series thanks
