Donte DiVincenzo, Isaiah Hartenstein and Miles McBride react to Knicks Game 6 loss to Pacers | SNY

well D I guess first and foremost just talk about the frustration of not being able to get this done here tonight um obviously you always want to close out series um but you know we understand that you know they’re they’re you know a hard playing team and we knew there was going to be a you know a battle coming in here I think you know haven’t lost at home um but you know we still have another game and um I know this team I know how they’re going to respond and we’ll be ready to go this has definitely become a homecourt series throughout is it just a matter of the crowd making a difference is there more to it and and how how much does that make you feel good about your chances coming home on Sunday um I mean I think you know speaking of the home court is you know you look back at the end of the season um this is the exact reason why you know we played the last couple games to get that two seed um this is the exact reason we’re going home game seven um obviously we know the garden’s going to be rocking and you know we’re trying to handle business can you make adjustments at this point this deep in the series or is it now just a matter of who wants it more come Sunday um you know obviously there’s a little adjustments but I mean you said it it comes down to you know will and you know just who wants it more um who’s going to compete harder for a full 48 um and like I said Sunday after you know we responded well after with game four um you know they responded well after game five so you know it’s it’s our job it’s our duty to you know regroup watch the film and you just just understand that we have to play harder for a 40 full 48 you spoken to Josh at all post cam I not what what goes through your mind when and I mean he’s the guy who’s played a gazillion minutes and kind of is always diving for balls throw downs and everything else what goes through your mind when you see him kind of struggling enough with something that he actually has has to the game um obviously you never want to see anybody get hurt um but bro it’s been it’s been our season um we have more than enough whoever’s on the court I’ve said it you know 100 times it’s whatever FES on the court um you know we have a blueprint here tibs demands certain you know certain things from certain guys um and you go out there and you know you compete your tails off and you give you give yourself a chance to win um so that’s that’s our mindset is whether he goes or not that’s our mindset coach talked about how the team didn’t finish the defense when he says that what does that mean to you you know loose balls um Second Chance rebounds you know I think you know you listen to them over the last couple days that was a point and ADV assist for them um you know attacking the glass you know getting loose balls um just playing a little bit with more grit um and that’s what exactly what they did tonight um you have to give them credit um you know coming home they feed off the energy of the crowd and you know now you know we look at it and that’s you know that’s what we have to do on Sunday what did you see from the way they maybe defended Jaylen in the first half that caused him to get off to a slow start was it their defense was it just him not making shots that he normally H um you know they’re going to they’re going to throw a million different defenses at him um he’s seen everything um he has confidence in the shot we have confidence in the shot so no make or Miss he’s going to make the right play and I think you know watch in the film we’ll make adjustments and and see how we can go from there you see that to be in a good rhythm in the first half and then you only scored two after halftime were they do anything different against you no um you know like I said I think we go back and we watch the film and see how you know how how can we adjust on the offensive end um cuz I think you know we’re at our best when uh things going side to side um we’re getting downhill we’re you know we’re spraying the ball and you know um I think they get a good job of you know taking all of what we do away um so you have to give them credit but at the same time is you know we will make adjustments we will have the understanding of how we have won games off season um and there’s no doubt in my mind that you know we’ll respond on Sunday what’s that atmosphere going to be like in the garden on Sunday you know this what you live for um you know this is why you sign with the Knicks come home um play in front of the garden game seven it’s going to be rocking and then and that’s what we left just being physical I mean I think they they responded kind of how we responded the game before um and then kind of offensively we were kind of kind of stagnant where they kind of were able to load up to jayen so we justed have to do a bit job of um making jaylen’s life easier I mean I think um he was guarded by three guys most most of the possessions um they were loading up so I think we just have to do a better job of um just doing a little things um getting loose balls but then also getting good shots up so they can’t run out on the break so we have to do a bad job getting jayen easier looks you know just moving the ball you guys dominated the glass previous game what was the difference in I mean you got the stat I think they they shot like 15 more per I mean there was a couple that we should have got for sure but um we just have to get um easier looks um by the end of the day there was a there was some possessions where we should have got those 50/50 balls but Isa you guys battled all the way to the last game of the regular season to get the two seed it all come down to game it all comes down now to a game seven at the Garden is that why this team played today yeah I mean it’s uh important I mean the guard is the guard I mean um get a little bit of um extra energy out there and the fans are amazing so um you just have to come in Step Up and um make the right plays and play with the right effort and then kind of go from there you you guys keep talking next man up and yeah another one Josh goes down today just kind of how hard is it on you guys that it’s one eff for um I mean if you get too focused into that you’re it’s going to be hard to get through so um what we’ve been kind of focusing on is um just day by day um just trusting the process I mean yeah it’s not easy but I think um we just have to keep pushing and then yeah you see I mean Josh hard has been like the guy that’s played all the minutes played every game how I mean concerning I mean just knowing him um I mean I didn’t talk to him or know the situation right now but just knowing him um he’ll do whatever to play so um if his leg’s not falling off probably say that he’ll probably play but I mean I haven’t talked to him we haven’t talked to him so we’ll see but um yeah it’s hard I mean he’s done so much for us this season so we’ll see I mean just moving the ball I mean I feel like getting Jaylen easier looks I mean I feel like um any man playing ISO against three people I mean he still had what 31 but I mean it’s hard so I think us as a team may have to do a better job of moving the ball get him open um maybe him coming off the ball a little bit more um getting easier looks like that so um I think they were the uh more Rive team tonight um they were getting to loose balls uh I mean the second chance points and I think the overall rebounding I think just hurt us that that’s a sign of effort I think D the first few games of the series kind of came down to last possessions the last three kind of been lopsided different ways why do you think that is I think each team is just coming out there and playing more desperate you know one team gets blown out they come out more desperate I think that’s what we have to obviously do is respond um not not play you know their backs against the wall but just lose or go home how much of a blow was it for Josh to take that hit and not be able to return yeah obviously it’s tough cuz he brings a lot of the rebounding for us a lot of effort um you know he’s just one of our leaders so for him to not return his stuff did they do anything against Jaylen that you saw that had him get up to the slow start that he had or was it just shots that he normally makes that yeah I mean I think he had good shots good looks it just didn’t fall today you see you see Josh all year long never asking out when you see him hurting like that just kind of I guess how surprising is it and I guess scary for you guys I mean he he seems like he’s he’s feeling better now um I mean I’m not sure about the whole situation but obviously for a guy like that you know pretty tough that asking out it’s not a good sign but I think he’ll bounce back you seem to be in a good the first half for double triple team and jayen what change for you guys in the second half that maybe you didn’t get as much I mean I think they were just flying around uh they were rotating pretty well just trying to run us off the three-point line and I think a lot of it also came from us getting stops and we weren’t getting stops d game seven at the Garden on Sunday these are the type of moments they live for yeah absolutely um I mean glory to God that we’re in this position being able to play this game at this high level and you know game seven in New York City you know was better than that

  1. STOP THE DAM EXCUSES!!! KNICKS ARE JUST BUMS!!! BIGGEST CHOKE TEAM ON THE PLANET!!!!! 50 YEARS STRAIGHT!!! KNICKS ARE GARBAGE WILL NEVER GET A RING!!! PURE BUMS

  2. Brunson is a fraud. Superstars close a game like this out. You dont choke make only 11 out of 30 shots..

He dont affect the game at all unless he scoring..
And whats worst is he a PG.

Try passing the ball bobble head.

  4. Proud, that’s the word. Only they know what they are passing with these injuries and still competing. We believe in them and they will succeed on the game 7, i’m sure of that! GO NY GO!

  5. Knicks played better with Brunson benched. He was trying to force shots, missing, not rotating on defense. Wasn’t passing. Your ankle hurt? Then coach shouldn’t let him bring it up the floor on an inbound, especially considering Indiana played full court press. They need to create more plays around Donte. Question becomes: do we play Josh… OG? Risk it all just to get to ecf or rest and focus on next year?

  6. Thibs should’ve gave Sims some minutes JUST to guard Siakam. I wanted to see that.

  7. Why is it that everytime the Knicks are in Indiana, they look pale and exhausted! Is someone messing with their food or they can't sleep??!

  8. The Knicks need to attack the Pacers full court press with passing and driving to the hoop instead of trying to dribble through it the Knicks would have the advantage if they do that.

  9. Let's go knicks what ever happen I have to give this team much love for fighting every game hope to come back stronger next season.GO KNICKS

  10. Knick fans I think this was plan for the team to lose they want
to win in front of they home fans Sunday at MSG.GO KNICKS
