Josh Giddey “coach did what’s best for the team and to be honest I probably agree with him” on him being benched

Already more mature then Hayward at 21

  1. Despite what probably the majority of this sub wants, I truly think this team believes in Giddey and he’ll be back next year. I think they wanna see him run the bench unit for a full season before they send him off. I’ve said it before in this sub but I don’t think OKC is looking to send these players off and will only do it if they have to, same applies for Gid. Unless he’s the key piece of a trade, he’ll be back next year

    Fucking Hayward dude lmfaooooo

This is a good answer from Giddey. I’m glad he’s more than likely gone, but I hope he can get a bag from his next team. He seems like a solid dude, he’s just not good enough to have a significant role here, and he doesn’t have the complimentary skills to have a smaller role.

I think giddy can thrive on a different team, he just doesn’t fit our roster. Glad he’s mature and understanding about it unlike some players

A confident and more mature Giddey will be deadly mark my words. I hope we can keep him and have him lead the 2nd unit

  5. Tbh im more proud of Giddey than any other player this year in the NBA. Dude is very kind, thoughtful and mature. 💙🧡

Keep Giddey and try to develop him into a sixth man role

This attitude is why he’s worth keeping around. He’s not a guy who will rock the boat and has shown he can improve his weak areas. Now that he has a season of being asked to do the two things he probably is weakest at (defense and 3 pt shooting), he can take the offseason to work on those areas to try and come back stronger next season.

I just think Giddey is redundant by way of having Shai. I think he could flourish as a pure passer floor general type but we have Shai who might not be a better passer but is a way better player. I could see running him as the sixth or seventh man but I also think there’s 2 starting spots that need to improve to win a championship.
