Spurs DRAFT Tidjane Salaun!? San Antonio Spurs News

you guys been talking about the Spurs drafting him now I’m seeing websites talk about it it’s about time TSR Sports talking about the Spurs possibly drafting tjon Salon with the eighth overall pick giant what is up San Antonio Spurs fans welcome to TSR Sports hope you are having a wonderful Sunday and I came across this article from yard Barker this morning and thought you know what I want to share this with the Spurs community and get their feedback on it Spurs linked to ton salon hopefully I’m finally saying his name right by the way quote after talking with numerous NBA teams about tjan Salon this week it seems he’s much closer to being a top 10 pick than the late Lottery candidate he is currently ranked reports ESPN’s NBA insiders several teams are flagging the San Antonio Spurs at number eight as a real landing potential spot for Salon the French connections with Victor web Yama are obvious the two sharing agent and know each other dating back to 2017 okay that’s very important fans this season he averaged about 10 points per game four rebounds and one steal per game those numbers look better when considering that he averages 15 points six rebounds and almost two steals per 36 minutes furthermore slon is coming off a career game in which he posted 19 points eight rebounds and three assists against Paris and I’ve not watched this yet so this is going to be a live reaction to some of his play here on play it okay nice L dun okay so we know I can finish in the paint that’s a good thing gives another L threat long three nice drive and an and one okay hard to tell with highlights I put back and layup how long is this video make sure we’re not watching a 10 minute video kind of hard to see with this little screen that was kind of hard to see with that little screen my apologies but there was the video clip and wanted to share with you guys because I had seen him play at all again hard to really gauge just from a few highlights anyway between his age size hustle and two-way upside Salon is an intriguing Prospect nonetheless the primary reason that the Spurs would I just move darn UPS the Spurs would draft is face wait let me start the nonetheless the oh my God stop moving around the primary reason that Spurs would draft is face of the franchise Victor wama San Antonio’s W to be asking for his input so they can build around him correctly Wy told ESP Andrew Lopez that salons work ethic and will to get better are just up there I can trust this guy to get better and to work out like crazy does he fit the Spurs needs well there’s reason to believe Salon won’t be the Spurs pick this season he made only 41% % of his field goals and 32% of his three-point attempts both are career lows so San Antonio may be able to look past it however given the stretch forward roll he’d likely P up the Spurs it is caused for concerns those shooting percentages are actually pretty close to champen aren’t they champen maybe a better three point shooter this season San Antonio ranked 11th in average three-point attempts per game a 28th in three-point field goal percentage it’s near dead last in the league they clear want to get out up a lot of shots from Beyond The Arc but are insufficient inefficient well insufficient in that area as well that’s one of the main reasons that their offensive rating ranked 26 in the NBA Salon might make that problem worse okay so did a little research on him before doing this video I am seeing more and more from websites that he is projecting to be a top 10 pick which fits right around where we’re picking with the eighth pick he is 69 or 610 depending on which set you look at with a 7 foot wingspan so he’s got length and he’ll be 19y old 19 years old when the season starts so he’s one of the youngest players in the draft some positives I’ve seen about him he’s a good athlete he’s mobile he’s quick he’s versatile and one day could be a player that switches in defend one through four he’s got a quick release he’s a very good rebounder and of course he’s young and has that Victor wama connection any negatives well he’s raw he lacks experience the three-point shooting is a problem if he’s going to start day one he is a loose ball handler and nobody likes loose balls and he’s an inconsistent Defender this adds more question marks more than anything because I didn’t think he was on the radar and I’m not sure how accurate yard Barker is but you guys have certainly suggested in numerous contents draft such and such player here at four and then maybe him at eight it’s I said this every video no idea which direction the Spurs are going on except I think I could be wrong we’re going to draft a wing and a point guard but which one and where Wing at four point guard today or do we foot flop it if Rob dillingham’s available at four and Reed Shepard and zachar race do they take one of which one do they take do we get two of those guys I don’t know what the heck’s going to happen I saw a poll recently on pounding The Rock and the two players that came up as SP that Spurs Community once was race at four and Shephard at 8 we haven’t really talked about that combination as a possibility for the Spurs I guess I’d be okay with that I mean I’m going to be okay with whatever they do unless it’s something way out of the balloon and when whenever I say out of the blue that means somebody that’s projected to go in the top 10 or I’m sorry not projected to go in the top 10 is taken the top 10 I a player that is projected to go between 20 and 25 and the Spurs Draft him eth or fourth see Josh Primo for an example a terrible example but that was an example of us reaching on a player higher than they were projected it didn’t work out for various reasons I just hope that doesn’t happen in this draft next month that being said if they draft him that’d be cool um wouldn’t wouldn’t be totally against it my ideal draft still is Zachary rasi at four and then best point guard or point guard Prospect available at eight whether that’s Rob Dillingham Reed Shepard Stefan Castle whoever it is even maybe ni topic I’m still concerned about the knee with him but if he’s available at eight and then all the health reports come back is good good to go passes physical everybody’s like y just you know one of those weird things where we had two knee injuries and a short amount of spin Miss TSR Sports my girlfriend she had two knee injuries last year and now she seems to be fine so players can or people can recover from injuries hopefully that’s the case with topic I’m now rambling on but you know you know you guys know I love talking Spurs with you and hopefully you’re having a great weekend and as always go Spurs go [Music]

Could the Spurs draft Tidjane at 8?

  1. I think if the Spurs miss out on Risacher, Salaun would be a good alternative. He kinda reminds me of Michael Porter Jr. (hopefully without the back issues)

  2. I’ve seen the stock on Nikola Dojurisic go up to a late second round. We should take a chance on him. But I’m really worried on the bench bugs for our team. I really liked all of them including Barlow Sandro and Bassey. Hope we can somehow play them quite a bit

  3. Very Raw prospect… But at least he's not a sub 30% 3P shooter (32.9% at 3P > 46/140)
I'd like way better shooter if possible…

  4. @Mikey. Mikey he's an option that's it. Here are two things that we do need we need a stretch forward okay and we need a point guard.

Is this kid dropped to the second round I wouldn't have a problem grabbing him cuz we can hide him for a couple of years.

And besides our star says the kid can get better and I'd like to see that turn out and I'd rather turn out with us than somebody else.

  5. TSR Sports look at AJ Johnson if we get him and Adem Bona with our 2ND round picks it would be the steal of the draft easily.

  6. Salaun, not Saloun like on the thumbnail or Saloon… 😂

otherwise Risacher has the most skills I think, but Salaun has progressed faster over the last year… good prospect and he will only be 19 in August 🤯

  7. I heard about a possible trade with Portland. 4th pick for the 7th and 14th.
That will allow portland to get Risacher and SA could get both Kentucky G and Salum at 14th

  8. Tidiane could be a future star but he is very raw for the moment. A huge potentiel but for the next season he won't be an improvement for the roster (except surprise because when he met a higher level he always answered present)

  9. Salaun is the guy we should get. I would draft him number 4 if Risacher isn't available. His potential is amazing and he could really develop here. He has a ton of great role models here and Sochan and Wemby can help him learn how to improve his game from a potential guy to a real impact guy. I think he arguably should go 2nd for his potential

  10. You can bet Sam Presti is licking his chops waiting for him to fall. Dang you Presti!! You're worse than Kahwi. You're the enemy now.

  11. That would mean the Spurs will be tanking next season. If they took someone like Sheppard at 4 and Dalton Knecht at 8, then I would think the SPURS are serious about winning games next season. If they take Salaun, they are not serious about winning games.

So, if they take Topic at 4 and Salaun at 8. They will rest Topic most of the year (cuz of knee) and will "Develop" Salaun. Which means, they will tank again because they want the talent in 2025.

Which also means…I will be cancelling my league pass. They are not serious about winning and just prefer playing draft games. That's really what Front Offices like to do best. The actual game is secondary. And that's not worth my time.

  12. I would be so excited!!! FYI the video you watched is just clips from last game. Not highlight of the season. So « when does the video stop? » is quite a positive feedback 😂.

  13. You can get Bobi Klintman in the second round and is just as good. Dilly at 4, Knecht at 8, Bobi in the second round

  14. I know Saloun has a lot of potential and is Vic’s buddy. But we already have Saloun at home (Dom Barlow).

  15. I’ve gone back and forth like many of us. I think what makes sense is that you make your board ranking the most talented players who could start next season, be they PG or wing. You take the top choice still available at 4. If it is a PG, then you draft your best wing still available at 8. The only change is that you take into account any weaknesses in your PG. If his shot needs work, you might place more value on a wing who can score. I think for SA to take Salaun, SA has to really believe in his upside and how quickly that will start to show.

  16. Otherwise think about Nolan Traoré PG, 6'3, for the next draft 2025… he's 18 on may 28th and and he's going to improve seriously next year… great season already.

Last game french playoffs 25p/4r/7a and 4/7 3-point shooting in 29 minutes.

  17. if risacher is available at 4 get him. if not get sheppard, because sheppard is too valuable to lose, then get Delton knecht @ 8, if still availlable, if not get Edey @ 8. i will not get upset if we get rob dillingham at 8 if we get risacher at 4. what matter most is we really need a good pg to facilitate.. to help wembi.. it would be nice if we get a double threat type of guy. specialy in a close game. the one who can shoot beyond the arc with high accuracy and has depensive mentality and know how to read the situation and can able to deliver.
