50 win season for the Knicks who went 50 and 32 and go to a game seven but fall at home 130 to 109 U 67% shooting that is a postseason record for a playoff G 39 as Indiana advances to take on the Boston Celtics and they will play game one of that series on Tuesday at TD Garden how did the Pacers get this done today Kenny Pace pace of the game um from free throw line to free throw line when halberton is saying I’m going to get it there in 3 seconds or less the Pacers are offensively very difficult to guard uh the series when they had when they didn’t do that and they kind of took their time bringing the ball up being more deliberate they don’t they don’t even play I think as aggressive defense when they don’t score most teams they feed off their defense they play aggressive defense and then they play better offense when the Pacers are playing fast offense then they get aggressive on the defensive end as well so I thought it was just the pace of the game Ernie well it was really the depth of the Pacers going back to game one to game seven they play they they’re one of they have one of the best benches in the NBA uh my man TJ McConnell is like the energize the bunny but the the depth of the Pacers was incredible and and the I told you the trade they made for SE yakum changed their whole team around because even when they play fast they really was struggling in the half court getting getting SE AUM giving him the ball in the half court they started really doing it in game five and six not really game five game six they started using their size when he was running down the middle of floor posting up in the lane but the shakum trade changed them from a just we going to try to outscore you because you know a lot of time when you it’s hard to score when you’re taking the ball out of the basket but now they have a half court threat and let me tell you something I told you they were going to go to the Conference Finals that’s going to be an interesting Series without W said that Pingas is out the first two games if he can’t come back and play well that’s going to be a hell of a series cuz I’m telling you man he makes a huge difference for that for that team if they if the Celtics have to go a long way without seak excuse me without porzingis the Pacers got a chance 18 for 32 I want to say from your Superstars SE yakum and halberton being aggressive prior to that they were very hesitant especially halberton it drove me crazy when he got in the paint wasn’t shooting those shots he had layup looking for people but he he took 17 shots SE yakum took 15 you said it earlier your stars have to step up and be stars to make the game easier for everybody else particularly on the road and I like the fact that he was more aggressive they were more aggressive and they took the most shots in the game and that’s how it should be halberton now goes up against the Boston Celtics Drew holiday um picked that apart for me well I don’t think he he changes the complexion of way Drew holiday doesn’t change the complexion of way holberton will play because he can’t bully him though his but his his his uh his asset is not well Drew holiday I think is a great defender if you’re a guy in the half court who tries to score or you’re coming off pick and rolls halberton asset is after the rebound is I’m pushing the ball so his asset is not I don’t think he can be jammed up in the back court by Drew transition he’s more it’s a transitional game for him so I don’t think it’ll be as glaring if Drew holiday was guarding Donovan Mitchell like you’re he can guard him but guarding halberton his asset is too hard to defend early it could get you caught out there if you try to jam him in the back H he uh he averaged or shot 41% 32% from Deep against the Celtics this year played in four of those games against the Boston Celtics one final quick thought it’s going to be a great series I’m telling the cels are going to miss porzingis they’re going to miss him man because with seum and Halbert their handful Turner I say I getting ready to say Miles Turner he’s going to be huge the Celtics going to have a hard time with Miles Turner First Eastern Conference Final since 2014 for Indiana meantime the drought continues for the New York Knicks last Eastern Conference Final came in 2000 I love that reing a Reggie Miller sweatshirt I love it I love it thought that one through yeah Reggie uh when the series changed J Brunson a true ball you’ve been the best player in these playoffs but you and your boys can all heal up together on some beautiful come on re
