No way. We will find a way to keep this man.

  2. Gotta hope we can resign him.

It’s not like there are tons of teams who have cap space AND can afford what he deserves. Knicks definitely have a shot to keep him.

  3. PharoahFits

He struggled defensively most of this series but I think he was physically worn down. He had to defend the paint almost fully by himself all postseason with Mitch missing so much time and no other front court shot blocker playing alongside him

  4. Maybe this game will knock a few mils off his price tag

  5. shilockthejew

Back up the brinks truck for this dude. Seriously. Just lock that shit down

  6. FrontStreetMafia

I was hard on him last year but he has showed to be a defensive anchor with Mitch out much of this year.

I just hope we can pay him but if he’s too expensive, we have to explore other options.

  7. Voorheezie

He was our only real big for this series (I don’t count Precious). He was a rebounding machine and a great facilitator, but anytime he was one on one with Siakam or Turner they scored. I have love for Hartenstein, but not at the cost of a big salary that costs us a true star.

Was pretty obvious he had no lift left. Go back and watch him throughout the season, he wasn’t giving up anything close to what he did the last couple of games.

  9. He was an embarrassment two series in a row. He had one good offensive rebounding game. That’s it. We would’ve won this series if Mitch was healthy

I can’t see him going to a lesser team for more money.

  11. Onihczarc

he’s been playing with achilles soreness also. and other nagging injuries.

I don’t understand why the Knicks would let Hartenstein go. I think he fits so much better in a 2024 offense than Robinson, and Robinson has struggled with injuries for years. Hartenstein is a good screen-setter, can score in the mid range, hustles for every rebound, and plays solid defense. If the Knicks lose him, I think they are significantly worse.

  13. Neither-Operation

It’s gonna suck if we lose him.Mitch and iHart would be an amazing rotation at center. But if he’s gone who can we realistically acquire with a similar skillset?Maybe go for a stretch big to stretch the floor?

  14. Friendly-Profit-8590

Both he and OG will be Knicks next season

  15. Love bright skin Hartstein and hope he comes back, pay the man what he’s worth and let’s run it back.

  16. gods_green_earth_

Pay Hartenstein so he can help us get to the promise land. P

  17. OutsetFlair

I say sign him and trade Mitch for a shooting big. Or the other way around but I value Hartenstein’s availability.

  18. LIONEL14JESSE

I love Mitch but he’s too injury prone and too much of a black hole on offense to be our only true center. We gotta find a way to convince IHart to come back. Also would open up including Mitch in a star trade as sad as that would be.

Just because it’s all over, doesn’t mean it was all in vain.

  20. josephmang56

Lets not count him out yet.

The biggest thing he wanted was the chance to play more. We have definitely given him that.

He knows eventually we will give him a bag and a half once those Bird rights hit.

  21. WhistleTipsGoWoo

We might not have advanced past Philly if it wasn’t for this guy. HERO!!!

  22. Brooklynknowitall20

Everyone will come back. There’s no way they don’t figure it out

  23. EatingDriving

Can anyone ELI5 why we wouldnt be able to resign him?

  24. Man let the wound heal first I don’t even want to contemplate losing this guy. We need to be able to run it back next year. Remember Januaury 2024, Knicks were unfuckin stoppable. What he said in that one interview about family and sticking up for his teammates, I wouldn’t be surprised if we adjusted his contract to be able to stay. I have hope. wu tang

  25. I got a feeling Denver is going to try get iHart back this summer.

Jokic looked gassed and he has no backup.

  26. HoyaDestroya33

I’m not gay but I’ll give Big Hart head if that’s what it takes for him to stay.

  27. ShampooMonster

I think, thankfully for the Knicks, they’ll be able to resign him for a little less than people might expect. Allen on the trade market, Claxton in FA, there will be more “high profile” centers available.

  28. I love Mitch but I really think we have to try to trade Mitch and keep IHart. Draft or sign a back up center Simms can’t be counted on either.

  29. YurtlesTurdles

This is my biggest off-season fear. Just gotta trust in Leon.

  30. YurtlesTurdles

So what’s the legality of Dolan calling up a rich friend who will give his wife a 10m modeling contract? I’d be ok with another lose a 2nd round pick type tampering fine.

  31. guywhoshouldknow

I think he’s OK to Good level player anyone who over pays him is probably crazy. with that said i think we can get him on a decent contract but we should ship mitch. I love mitch but he’s always hurt.

  32. ridingzero

Should take a discount cause we know he loves it In NYC

  33. Nanno2178

We gave our absolute best & I’m okay with a good loss than a shitty win.
