Post-game: Jokic showing appreciation for the way the Timberwolves are built and giving Mike Conley his flowers, calling him probably the most underrated player in the NBA. Also, didn’t make any excuses about fatigue or carrying the burden of being the champions, unlike Murray and Mike Malone

This series really gives me a newfound appreciation for Joker. He was always so good on the floor AND is an ethical bucket getter.

As good as he is on court, he’s really great off court. I saw lots of past videos of him and went down a “Jokic funniest moments” video dive. He’s really funny and down to Earth.

  2. If expansion happens and we get moved to the East, just think of future NBA Finals between these two teams.

  3. After watching this series, I can say without a doubt… Jokic is the best player in the NBA. And I dont even know who can come close right now.

Man, how you fulfill your media obligations after a crushing loss is what has always separated the best from the bitches. Jok is clearly one of the best. I haven’t seen Murray’s yet but that coach is clearly a little bitch. And I HATE the media and their dumbass questions, but that’s why how you handle it shows your character. Imagine waking up today with the weight of the professional failure of that loss on you AND you publicly acted like he did?

  5. Whole new respect for Joker. He really is that damn good.

  6. PrestigiousTea3

Respect and appreciate Joker, he’s a class act. Murray on the other hand is a whiny little bitch, zero respect for that guy.

  7. Did Murray say something post game? I saw Malone’s clip but must have missed Murray’s

  8. subtleshooter

Malone and Murray need to follow the mvps lead more.

  9. So they lost last night because they were tired from playing games 11 months ago?

ANT played all summer. I don’t understand how that could possibly be a valid excuse. The Warriors just had a decade long run of consistently going on deep runs. Saying you’re not making excuses but you’re too tired is one of the lamest cop outs ever.

Edit: I’m talking about Mike Malone’s response

  10. I’ve lost a lot of respect for Murray during this series. Grown man tantrums are just pathetic.

  11. Jokic’s post-game interviews were great. Not an asshole, no excuses, just humble and straightforward.

Malone on the other hand, I had respect for him as a coach before this series but I never realized what a whiny little baby he is. I mean it’s one thing to do on the court, you could argue he’s doing the old school “fire the team up” shtick, but in the post-game stuff it seems like he really just is like that.

I’m a huge Joker fan as long as we’re not playing against him.

This interview just solidified that for me.

  13. Massive respect to jokic. If a guys so good he can make multiple fanbases loath playing him(us,la,phx) you know your doing something right. Honestly hes one of if not the most unguardable players right behind peak steoh and lebron ive seen

  14. That’s because Jamal Murray is a bitch and joker is the real deal.

  15. a_humanoid

Someone clip the end of that interview. I need a gif of that

  16. AncientScratch1670

You notice who he *didnt* call overrated?

    D’Angelo Russell.

  17. mitch8017

He’s just happy to be done with his day job so he can go back to racing horses.

It’s nearly impossible to come out of a battle like this series without the opponent driving you crazy. I feared that because I’ve always liked jokic. Instead, I come out of it with even more respect for him. Glad he already has a ring and now we can go for ours

  19. great__pretender

If we didn’t have a stake on the success and his success didnt come at our expense, he would be my guy. I don’t like Murray, their cocky part of fanbase and their coach, but it is hard to root against him. One of the most likable super stars along 🐜.

  20. Correct_Fly5152

I’ll take this opportunity to give Jokic all the respect for how hard he played and to crap on Embid because you know what he’s say I. This same press conference. “I can’t do it all myself.”

  21. In fairness, Murray gave all the same respect during his postgame last night as well. Made absolutely no excuses. He was whiny bitch during series though.

  22. aytoozee1

This series made me like Jokic much more and dislike Murray much more

  23. Aggressive-Depth-526

I was rooting for Denver and Jokic last year after they knocked us out. Love the Joker and him accepting the loss with grace only elevates him more in my mind.

I don’t think Denver need to blow it up. They won a chip with this core. Adding a bit of depth is all they need to stay in the championship race.

  24. Bill3ffinMurray

Joker is still one of my favorite players. Him and Luka are revelations and the NBA is better for it.

  25. UncleTedTalks

I like Denver but I did think it was kind of soft Malone to blame it on fatigue. Everybody plays the same number of games in the regular season lol

  26. cheekycheeksy

Because Murray is a bitch. Wouldn’t talk to the media after games 1 and 2, and then had the nerve to talk shit
