He will be an important piece for contenders, teams should be lining up with FRPs in their hands to get him

the only people that didn’t see his value was this subreddit unfortunately.
Picking up his option would be great because:
Contending teams are willing to pay a first since he can be a key contributor
and
Teams with bad contracts are willing to give up a good first to get $22 million off their books next summer (I’m looking at you gsw with wiggins. Perfect salary match and they have some big extensions coming up next season in kuminga and moody. They will have to move wiggins’ contract to pay kuminga).

Philly as a Bruce Brown trade destination? i know the Raptors already have the Indy 2024 pick, but think Philly’s 2024 is the only one they can trade atm
– PGs max was supposed to leave $16m in cap room – trade requirements are 125% salary matching. Bruce Brown has a $23m team option, which means Sixers need to get to $18-19m in cap room – PG agrees to a slight discount on the max (technically he pays way less in state taxes compared to if he played in LA on the same deal), and allows Sixers to get a key contributor with no added long term salary – Raptors get the FRP they wanted for Brown, and create a trade exception

I remember Fred saying in an interview with JJ last year that you need at least 10 good players to win.
That’s why I think Indiana actually has a chance, despite them not necessarily having the best star players in any match-up.
