Nikola Jokic talks Game 7 Loss vs Timberwolves, FULL Postgame Interview 🎤

we hear a lot about how hard it is to repeat in the NBA I know it just happened for you guys but now that you’ve tried to do it um do you have any thoughts on what makes it so difficult to to do it back to back I mean I don’t know uh we didn’t accomplish that so I mean I don’t know it’s hard because the teams are more hungrier U Better talented uh than last year probably everybody get better everybody wants to beat us probably uh that’s my thought process probably Nicole obviously you guys went up pretty early in that third quarter and Lead ultimately dissipated just what happened in in the second half from your perspective I mean they were scoring they they they had a lot of offensive rebounds we we couldn’t make shot even I think we had a lot a lot of open looks um wide open looks uh but that’s that’s what happens you know sometimes you make shots sometimes you miss shots and uh today I think we didn’t miss shots I think we miss a lot of good shots but you know that’s um not just on us they they played some good defense that’s why the number one defense in the NBA some of your teammates were just saying what makes us even more painful is the fact that you know it wasn’t a sweep they felt you were the better team and there’s so much talent on this team that they thought this was the team that could repeat is that what makes it with you perhaps sting more because of the talent on this team you know I don’t believe in that I I believe in that I think the team humans is better team so you have a seven game so over best of seven so if someone beats you I think they’re the better team uh congrats to them like we we did we have a chances of course we did but uh and someone beats you I mean they’re just better Nia what will it take for you guys to get back to winning a championship again I mean some teams never been the championship again so uh I’m just glad that we had opportunity this year and we were we were in the in the horse racing speed we we were in the microphone you know they were telling our names uh so we will see you know getting better uh Personnel wise getting better team- wise getting better better coaching wise like you need to be especially right now what how many talented is league in the league is you just need to you just need to be basically perfect to win a championship Nicole kind of on that note what do you feel like you guys need more of or needed more of in order to win this series I mean we needed to make shots I mean I’m miss a A3 is uh where is the where I am oh I miss eight threes Jamal Miss eight Mike Miss five we were shooting 8 for 24 in today’s air basketball Air B C basketball is going without making any threes basically you canot win win the game um of course it’s a tough it’s a game seven uh you don’t make a lot of shots they didn’t make either one they made they were shooting 39% from the free from the field so but you know I think if you want to win you need to make shots Nicole I know it’s early on in the process but I was just wondering if you had any thoughts on the Serbian national team in the Olympics this summer I really I don’t know my friend we will see I need to think about it uh Nicole you mentioned sort of the rebounding stuff like that that that flipped in the second half of this game you guys had kind of dominated that in some of the hustle stats in the first half does when that flips so dramatically does does fatigue or exhaustion kind of play a part in the way it can go in the second Ian it didn’t play for them so I don’t think I don’t think that you know sometimes you don’t box out sometimes it’s a luy bounce sometimes it’s a they want it more sometimes we want it more so I think that’s why basketball is great you you never know what’s going to happen the does it hurt anym that it ended on the home floor and that you guys I don’t know struggled a little bit at home in this series uh I mean yes of course I mean you don’t want to lose in front of your fans but uh they were so so good to us so uh we were fighting we gave all our our best our all best so hopefully they’re going to appreciate it or not we will see next year Nichola do you look at this Timberwolves team as a as as a team that could become a rival of of you guys in the future I mean yes I mean I think they’re built to build to beat us in someone and just look at their roster they have basically two All Stars two uh probably first defensive players in the year Mike onlyy who is the most underrated player in the NBA probably I mean I love the guy he’s so good and he know he always makes the right right even he didn’t he didn’t shoot that well this uh this SE this uh what’s the name series this game you know in one moment he was the leading rebounder in in the game for them so you know it’s um and they From the Bench they have a six player of the year they have a Kyle and and Walker who who was uh really good for them so one one team that he they can do little little literally everything they can be big small so anything else all right thank you pleasure call my friend

  1. -Only Person I've seen win ..3 out of 4 MvPs..🤔..but Hasn't taken his team to ..The Finals in 2 of those seasons!!

  2. Shooting was a definite problem in both series. MJP struggled, as did Murray at times; and Jokic missing 8 wide-open 3s?? Weird. An interesting fact…in the stats for last year’s DEN-MIN series, Bruce Brown and Mike Conley had very similar stats. Sure wish we could have held on to Bruce.

  3. Joker is hands down one of my all time favorite players, it was not the MVPs or the title , he is just an incredible basketball player, that never expected basketball yo be his life

  4. Jokic had chance to make it unanimous that he’s the best player of the 2020’s but
    Giannis Jokic
    2x mvp 3x mvp
1x nba champion 1x nba champ
    1x fmvp 1x fmvp
    1x DPOY
Before age 30 Before age 30
Whichever you prefer definitely the T2 of the decade so far

  5. From a lifelong Wolves fan – this was 100% class. Jokic is the clear MVP and there's no debate about it. Wishing Joker many more years of success.

  6. Looking at the jokic stans comments are hilarious 😂😂.."clearly the best player in the world", "true mvp" ,"still a champion " lmaooo copium.

Face the facts, he shot 13 of 29 for his 34 pts .. Thats UNACCEPTABLE for the so-called "mvp"!
Even worse than his inconsistency was his glaring weakness constantly being exposed in the series ! The man gets COOKED on defense!! I almost feel bad. ANYONE and EVERYONE seemed to be able to score on him with EASE!!! You cannot be the best or "mvp" when you're constantly putting your team at a severe disadvantage! Throughout the series it looked like a constant fast break with it basically beening a 4v5 whenever the wolves looked to score! Going forward, look for other teams to continue to expose the joker on defense and tire out the others that have to pick up his slack!

  7. Denver, a bitter defeat. Instead of continuing to press after the phase where you had the wolves by the balls, you collapse and hope for fate. Typical American. The European was still the most experienced warrior. The coach should have intervened with motivation, with agrresion and the will to win and defeat.

  8. All they had to do was play good basketball for another 1 1/2 quarters and they just couldn't dor it. No excuses.

  9. The Nuggets' payroll has some over-paid useless bench players. Zeke Nnaji is getting $4 million to do what? Reggie Jackson, $5 million, was getting abused by Naz Reid. Julian Strawther is getting $2.4 million, to do what? Never heard of him.

  10. As a wolves fan i still think this man is the greatest offense player of all time. They need to commit to him as a pg and get another big. there is simply no other way.

  11. Having nothing but respect for Jokic, humble superstar that does everything the right way, never cheats the game but god im glad Jamaal Murray got humbled this series. Thank you TWOLVES will be rooting for you the rest of the way.

  12. Thank you Jokic and nuggets, now you can enjoy racehorse ❤, no matter what you are one of the best players 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

  13. I've gotta respect this guy. No matter what he's gonna get his numbers, and when they lose, he doesn't make excuses.

  14. Dear Nikola, I want to let you know that I know since you won the MVP title, you have become a role model for many smart NBA players because you play smart, you live a smart life. The good thing about that kind of "cloning" is that it brings a tremendous quality to the whole basketball world. Three years ago, only some game scores went over 100 by both teams. Now, only some game scores are below 100 for both teams. Dear Nikola, thank you for causing such enrichment. You are becoming a historical figure in this sport.

  15. Jokic is all class, and how jelaous and racist you are is seen on thumbnail and number of post for denver win vs denver loss, compare to other teams.

  16. One of the greatest players of all time, his ability to do what he does with limited athleticism is awe inspiring. His attitude towards the game is refreshing, I simply love the Joker, keep pushing …..

  17. Respect to this dude for such a good game and attitude after losing a tough game in comparison to Murray's and Malones's post-game interview where one caught amnesia and the other gets mad and starts cursing at reporter for asking " fucking stupid question" LETS GO CELTICS!!!🍀🏀
