Knicks lose Game 7 to Pacers, Was this a successful season for New York? | NBA | THE CARTON SHOW

uhhuh apparently the treats are coming in can’t wait for the show tomorrow bun of New York haters uhhuh then there’s another tweet that came out after the Knicks lost a very tough for game seven it’s going to be the funeral show can’t get past the Pacers let me just say this Crow dog the roofer that’s my dude right there oh there’s one more out there you can show another tree that’s fine that’s fine that’s fine G to New York minute blah blah blah The Little Engine That Couldn’t okay I I look out I slurp all oh there’s another one yeah show me another one oh that is the last one look I I slurp up all that negativity and here’s why for all you guys out there that you were mocking the New York Knicks losing game seven yesterday uh to the red hot Indiana Pacers shooting 76% in the first half of that game which is an NBA record for any half of any playoff game in the history of the National Basketball Association you know I it don’t P me one bit because I didn’t lose full a strong hand right I half my team’s hurt then I lose Brunson to a broken hand in the second half an anobi played two minutes and made two threes by the way and here’s what we can all I think agree to if the New York Knicks were healthy they’re probably winning an NBA championship this year the road is set up for them to go just like the Celtics are going to go right to the NBA finals but Brunson breaks the left hand and anobi misses the last four games of the series Mitchell Robinson got jillan beated against Philadelphia he’s out bogy played off two minutes he’s out and jius R hasn’t played since January you can’t overcome that so you guys can gloat all you want about Indiana coming into my building in a game seven and winning they earned it they deserve it and I do tip my cap to them cuz they shot lights out in a manner we have never seen in the history of the NBA before so I’m I’m okay with the Tim Hardway I can accept the fact that on this given day while we were short-handed they shot better than any team has ever shot in the history of the sport I slept great last night I understand you slept great last night but those tweets wasn’t about New York they was about you and what you were saying and what you was talking about bump and bump B we and we told you yes that was going to catch up to you but last week you were saying no it’s not here we are we still doing it we defying the odds this and that this and that so those tweets wasn’t for the New York Nick they was for Craig Carlton Carlton what you were saying except for this Tim Hardway look people that people are suggesting and getting joy out of the Knicks losing and that’s what bothers me you want to be mad at my opinions be mad at my opinions I’ve done this for 30 years I’ll get over it right quick right but you can’t take shots at what the Knicks did because the Knicks never gave up the Knicks never fought and legitimately you got four healthy guys on the Rost it’s always going to be haters now it’s always going to be haters mean yeah that means you doing something and they was doing something right let me tell you we talking about the team not you no but I I feel the same way I feel the exactly the same way because people have bad things to say about me it just means that I cut through and I transcend most natural media you know I’m going tell you this yeah I say 60 65% of times you saying things you are right that see that’s my dog right there Eddie here’s where I think the Knicks Lost the series and it was not yesterday game seven with the great shooting performance by Indiana it was not the game six loss uh a couple nights ago it was game three fourth quarter where uh nimrod makes that 40 foot threp pointer and stops us from taking a three nothing series lead to me and that’s the same game OG got hurting with the hamstring that’s where the Knicks Lost the series I wouldn’t say that one particular game because you had game four where you could have came out and went up 3-1 and put a strangle hole you lose that game so uh but I got blown out in that game that game was a I got run out of the building in that game mean game three Le second half whose fault is that Indiana that’s not refere you got you got there you go he’s going all over the place now we could say this though about the nck but you’re not a s loser at the at the end we could say this about the Knicks they had a damn good season damn good Craig not a successful season yeah look I appreciate that cuz you know he plays I don’t from a fan standpoint we’re all disappointed we lost but we look back in this team and we’re grateful for what the Knicks did this year because like I said they rejuvenated as the basketball fan fandom in this city it’s been dead I own it you the Brooklyn NS came in a few years ago and we were all like are the Nets going to take over New York City cuz they had the big three they obviously didn’t and now the Knicks are back and what you saw nationally at a Madison Square Garden here this uh playoff run uh something I have not seen in a very very long time the belief in a team the team really encapsulating what the city is all about you know that blue collar hardworking you know ethic that type of stuff and we adopted this team this has been the most likable Nick team for at least 20 years maybe even longer than that uh and there’s a lot to be said for that so I I believe what Jaylen Brunson is saying at the end of the day is that being a competitor they expected to especially as they started rolling but let’s be honest man at the beginning of the Season yes it’s a handful of teams that really got a shot that you really could say that when they go you’ve been in the beginning of the year meetings when you know I I was with the Clippers and they passed the thing talking about Championship I looked around our roster I said I I believe in what we could do but this ain’t going to get it done we not getting past the Lakers you know what I mean so it I’m not sure if at the beginning of the Season you thought that they would be able to make the finals I’m not sure if everybody in that building believed I think as they started steamrolling and uh getting a lot of traction I believe that’s where the belief came and but as a competitor you always think that you you have a fighting’s chance it’s funny you say that because you’re you’re dead on right about one aspect of this season at the trade deadline when Leon Rose the general manager of the New York Knicks pulled off the trade that brought precious here and of course OG here uh for RJ Barrett who was a fan favorite in his short NBA career and quickley who we all loved you know because what he brought to the table 95% of Nick fans pan that trade and said up there goes the season we got no shot now don’t forget we went to the second round last year with that your know core nucleus of guys and even though Nick fans don’t like Julius Randle we appreciate the fact that when he’s on he’s a very tough guard right and he can do things most guys on the Nick roster can’t do so what really happened was all of a sudden we watch this team transform before our eyes from a team that we didn’t really buy into because of the trade to all of a sudden you know they don’t lose without an noi on the court we don’t miss Julius Randall and then of course you had the great storyline of Jaylen Brunson becoming a leg legitimate Superstar right before our eyes no question even even the Knicks didn’t think that they was going to be in this predicament today you know so so I understand what Jaylen Brunson is talking about and they you know that they win a championship he and I understand that he’s saying that you know it was a fail season he might so so y your your whole career if you don’t win a championship is that going to beat your fail your your your your career’s fail he I don’t think so either that’s how he’s he’s trending it to me you might not be in this predicament like fact he’s a winner he’s a winner but you but you can’t say this a fail season to me it was a win-win situation because because at the beginning of the Year y’all didn’t think y’all was going to be in this predicament I agree you know at the beginning of the year even at even at um when the trade went down y’all did not think we no idea and on top of that think about it when Jaylen Brunson signed his contract how many people were like what are they doing how are they giving him all this money and he panned out yes he did and actually I think you guys got him for the cheap if you for sure we’ve gotten a great basketball player in his prime now and no one knew that that as much as he had success in Dallas kind of secret success because he wasn’t the main guy there obviously with Luka there uh there’s not a Nick fan at the time that said oh I love this deal and the money that they’re giving him and now we’re grateful hey there thank you so much for watching the carton show you 1. Whether, this was a successful season, is inconsequential, but the answer is, yes, that's a no brainer, we made it to the 2nd seed, beating teams that were considered elite, while not being at a 100%, if we were, I'm confident, that we can beat anybody in the NBA, and get the Chip. So for those who still Doesn't think we had what it took to win it all, really should keep their mouth's and pessimism to themselves…

  2. Coach Thibodeau has to do more to have a deeper bench. Yes untimely injuries were ultimately the downfall of the Knicks, however a deeper rotation is needed. Why did we have to wait until the playoffs to find that G McBride and G Burks are scorers? Coach Thibodeau definitely made us proud, everyone on the floor knew their role – even the deepest of bench players – and the Knicks over performed in the best NYC fashion.

the Pacers shot like the Knicks and the Knicks shot like the away team. you can't win a game if the other team is shooting 80%. means you'd have to shoot 90%.

i agree, the Knicks needed to play game 5 style in game 3 to have put the series away and not be derailed by a fluke 3 shot from the next state.

Ultimately, this was a successful Knicks season as i said above they outperformed their expectations.

  3. "Serious Injuries" had beaten the "Under-men" NY Knicks in game 7.
But not the Indiana Pacers, they had won the series.
Sad, but proud of the NY Knicks effort to play to the end.
    KNICKS got "GUTS"!
    🧡💪🥊

  4. Pacers are not that good ! If the Knicks were healthy they would have ran through the pacers with ease ! Nobody wants to see pacers vs Celtics … everybody wants to see Knicks vs Celtics conference finals ! It’s all good pacers about to get smacked !

  5. Knicks fans have to wait and see what Mr Leon Rose is going to improve the Knicks rosters for next season.
Get more impact players to the NY Knicks 🧡.

  6. Knicks winning championship if everyone is healthy is certainly a take. I think they could get to one but to be that confident that they would WIN it is bananas

  7. For a team that was considered mid with a fully healthy team. To get to the second seed with so many obstacles. And with our 2 defensive anchors injured. They did what they did with as lil as possible. It's all good. We be back hopefully 100% healthy.. proud of this team.

  8. Had the Knicks shot 70%

"That Pacers team don't play defense."

    Pacers shoot 70%

"They were the hottest team ever, it was a fluke"

  9. You guy don't understand the intense pressure teams go thru when they play the Pacers.. The Pacers are the physically strongest and the mentally smartest team on the planet. The Pacers use high pressure and pure power to desmantle and destroy their opponents.. Even back when they smoked the Bucks.. Gannis is hurt and in his career, Gannis has always been afraid of the Pacers.. Many times he's call in sick to avoid getting pounded my the Pacers. Dame Lizzard buckles and then gets hurt from relentless Pacer pressure.. Bucks go down in series.. Knicks same thing … One by one, high physical pressure from Pacers.. Anunoby gets hurt.. Tried to come back but want no part of the Pacer power.. Brunson with the foot, then hand, Hart same thing, hurt due to Pacer power and Pacer Physical play.. etc.. Result.. NY loses series.. All must go down and kneel and bow to the Might Pacers…

  10. Knicks beat a 1 legged 1 eyed Embiid and they thought they won a championship a second round exit is a failure in any real sports town!!

  11. Tim Hardaway is an idiot, just agreeing with clueless Carton ‘cause he’s a guest on the show.

  12. Knicks were overrated , they get no passes. Sucks with the injuries but it’s part of the game. IF and buts mean nothing

  13. Huff that copium Craig. You were not winning the finals. All these players will walk, as long as the Knicks are owned by that joker.

  14. It's a good thing Carton is a "former" gambling addict cause those beat up Knicks probably would've cost him a lot of money.

  15. The knicks made a come back.. had back to back turnovers.. and then brunson got hurt .. pacers knew they was in trouble

  16. Great show. I need the Knicks to “Run It Back”! Please, please do not go after a big name that does not fit the hard nose defensive identity of this team.

  17. Funny that when someone's team loses, injuries are brought up but when it's another team that loses who they hate on..injuries are never mentioned.

  18. This was not a successful season for the NYKs. Last year was a successful season, not this year. I could give you many good reasons why, but it would take too long.
