Detroit Pistons 2024 Offseason Priorities

Detroit Pistons 2024 Offseason Priorities

what’s going on guys and today we’re doing the offseason preview priorities for the Detroit Pistons so before we start today’s video I want to hear your thoughts in the comment section what do you think they should prioritize this is off season and then like a week or so once the lottery happens I’ll start doing all my predictions for each team’s off season so I want to hear your guys’ thoughts Down Below in the comment section what do you guys think of the try pistons and what do they need to prioritize hit that like subscribe cuton right now they have the chance to get the number one pick and probably means they’re either going to have the number one pick or the second pick or the third overall pick depending on where it falls I think the guy that they need to get is Zachary re SA or re what is it re somebody just put it down in the comment section for me but Zachary the guy from France and the reason why I put that is he fits perfect you don’t need alexar you don’t need another log Jam and then topage would create a log Jam with Kade Cunningham Jaden Ivy Marcus Asser already there no no no all right and I literally feel like this was you know the type of person that when you look at this roster it’s I I really it’s rash Ras my apology guys Zachary rash just fixs there perfectly he fits next to assar Thompson he fits next to Jaylen Duren he fits next to K Cunningham and Jay iy and Simon fio if they keep him so that’s definitely a guy that that I think they’re looking at and then they have the 53rd pick and I think if anything get a backup big or another Wing player there they went 1468 James wisman is a restricted free agent Simone fio is a restricted free agent EV for has a team option they’re only going to pick up the team option if they believe they can flip him Malachi Flynn’s a restrictive free agent chy mew’s team option Jared rhoden’s a restricted free agent they have won 20 20 23 and 17 games and then 14 games this year so they’ve won a combined 74 gam since Troy Weaver took over in 2020 so at this point they have seven players with guaranteed contracts next season six are recent first round picks in K Cunningham Asar Thompson Jen Ivy Jaylen during Quinton Grimes and Marcus Sasser and the thing is is they are at blank canvas and this is a team that needs to really really figure it out because they don’t have much time to to work with in my opinion and with the way that this looks looking at next season’s roster ignoring Evan fornier and I don’t I don’t do I don’t know if they’re gonna bring back James wisman but is we’re just gonna go Isaiah Stewart K Cunningham assar Thompson Jay iy Shake Milton jayen dur Queen rymes Troy Brown Marcus Sasser chamy metu Stanley and so like right there what that’s 10 dudes and and obviously like a lot of those aren’t going to be there for the the Long Haul and I think they need to figure out who’s the core so this is a team that could have up to $60 million in capace if they decline the team option onor and wave Troy Brown and Stanley and the room includes the hold for the second round pick and their and their first or the second you know the first pick that they have so and this also includes them bringing back Simon fonio with the c hold that he has so with that being said the priority is they needed to go out and get vets similar to what the Rockets did who they added Fred Van Dylan Brooks jayen Jeff Green to surround Jaylen green bar Smith Jr and Alber shagon the Rockets hired a defensive-minded coach and they went from 22 to 41 wins the selling point to free agents to play in Detroit outside of offering them the most money is you know giving them the minutes they’re returning eight players who average 17 or more minutes fre agency continues to show that All-Star players do not switch team van vet was the exception but is it worth overspending on Tobias Harris Malik monk buddy heeld or miles Bridges or do you do what you did and try to find like the Jeremy Grant of the world and then flip that guy for a pick Detroit ranked 22nd in three-point shooting so bringing in a guy like Malik monk or buddy heel that’s as well as residing fono would be huge the lineup of Jaden Ivy Cunningham fonio Isaiah Stewart and Jaylen dur out scored opponents by 8.9 points per 100 possessions so bringing him back would make sense and then I think you either look to continue to take money on from other teams like let’s say Ben Simmons attached that first round pick like Bobby Mark says right here could be that but at the same time maybe not cuz if we look at free agency let’s be honest ladies and Gentlemen let’s let’s look at who’s available let’s go okay 60 million they go out and get to buy cuz they know they like him or they do the miles Bridges thing they do a signing trade for Miles Bridges and they they send out for example what if they sign miles Bridges to a 4-year 30 million and they send out I don’t even know because you can’t do EV fornier but I guess you would send in this case this hypothetical situation Quinn Grimes would it be worth or you just outright sign him you just outright sign him you could just do that but the idea is you go out and get miles Bridges who’s a vertile power forward who had a decent season or you go out and get Tobias Harris who can be reliable you go get Malik monk a Bruce brown two of those guys are going to cost 40 million then you got to get like the Buddy heels or the the Luke canards if he goes into the free agency the maybe a Malik Beasley Royce O’Neal those are the guys that you need to bring in Isaiah Joe Aaron Wiggins Patrick Williams all guys that they should have Lonnie Walker Josh Richardson all players that I think that if they could bring them in really could help this franchise so for me with Detroit I think the biggest thing that they need to address is obviously the three-point shooting I really think you need to choose your young dude I like Marcus AER Kate Cunningham and Jaden Ivy I like isar Thompson and Samone fon I like beef stew and Mr beef stew and Jaylen Duren I think the rest of the roster so with that being said Jaylen Durham beef stew that’s your front Court then Simone fonio and assar Thompson that’s your wing depth so right there that’s what four Dudes then you throw in three are your guards that you know we really like which is the K County MJ I Marcus Sasser and after that that’s where to me it becomes a bit difficult like who is the the rest of that team that we should keep together cuz I like those those are the guys that I legitimately think are NBA guys who can play in the playoffs who are currently on the play Pistons roster if they were to be tough I think that means you got to go out and look at getting eight dudes who so now we’ll throw in the F you know the potential top three pick let’s say they get Zachary all right perfect that guy can play power forward and and now you have an and small forward so now you have another front Court player so to me that means moving on from M for moving on from James wisman moving on from Shake Milton Quin Grimes if he can look like the guy who was with the Knicks last year then that’s you know an eight dude on that rotation that could be good but he didn’t look like that are they moving on from try Brown’s fine are they moving on from chy metsu and Stanley’s fine so then you look at the rest of the team you got to fill it out okay let’s go and get two-way guys Aaron Wiggins Patrick Williams that’s 10 dudes or I mean with the two draft picks you’re going to get get up to 10 dudes I just said sign two dudes right there Aaron Wiggins Patrick Williams those are not going to be break the bank guys so you’re already at what 12 dudes so you throw in either Tobias Harris M or miles Bridges as your max contract that’s going to be right there a a bagel reagent so I think you know having a guy like that is going to be absolutely pivotal for them especially now that they’re going to be a group of guys that I think if they can like I said bring in those defensive guys who are going to come in and play the style that they need to play which is you know defense so you bring in Aaron Wiggins Patrick Williams those two probably going to cost you 20 million collectively then you spend 30 30 million on B Bridges or bias Harris and plus the two draft picks so that’s right there five players you’re already up 13 players now you fill in maybe the rest of the roster you go out and you get yourself a another guy in the the same Bane as a I guess you we would say it it’s difficult what the the the right answer should be as in my mind I’m thinking we go out and we get who’s someone that I mean Jan tape might be cheap there so there’s another defensive guy you can go out and get and then you get a backup big maybe you bring back Andre Drummond to be the uh the big behind Isaiah Seward and Jaylen dur and right there we just rebuilt the entirety of the the Detroit Pistons and I think that’s a team that could at least that’s at least a play in team right there I don’t know if you guys agree with me I feel like that team’s at least making the play so I think he better than doing nothing um to me I think it all going to come down to how do they respond to adversity which I think they’ve shown that they know how to handle it and are competent at reacting it’s just can they get over that hurdle so I want to hear your guys’ thoughts on there is Troy Weaver in you know competent enough to do this I feel feel like we just rebuilt all on the go the team pretty cheaply so I want to hear your guys’ opinions that’s basically going to be it for me if you guys did enjoy hit that like And subscribe button it would mean the world as you know he knows that you guys are supporting the channel so I hope you guys did enjoy like comment subscribe and I am going to M this 11 seconds so if you guys are listening let me let me know anything that you guys would like you think I was Ving on or you think needs to be adjusted but I think holistically that’s there I I also want to know would you guys drop I think it’s kind of interesting byebye

  1. Overpay for this bum free agent class and a 59% chance we get #4 or #5 in tomorrow's lottery, in a draft where no one knows who the #1 player is and another 18 year old isn't helping this team. If they break 20 wins, they'll be lucky. No hope for the short term. They're still too young and still can't shoot or defend, been saying this for years. Priority #1: Fire Troy Weaver before he makes any more dumb decisions.

  2. Hopefully we can get Pascal Siakam if he doesn’t sign with Indiana hopefully we can get a sign and trade. That’s the only player I see us picking up going along with Cade might have to trade some of the pieces, but I believe we can make it happen.

  3. regardless the draft pick, Pistons need:
    1. Sign all star caliber player
    2. Sign sharp shooter
    3. keep it small rotation game plan (8-10 players)

  4. Risacher is giving me Darko Milicic vibes. The pistons can't afford to make that mistake again. Sarr is the safe pick. He can easily play next to Duran.

  5. Jalen Smith is a good option! Malik Monk and Miles Bridges! That 60 mil will go fast! We are not getting an all-star, we have to get lucky and get someone who we think will become an all-star! Solid players who can help our youth grow!
