[Music] an interesting development into this Miami Heat off season is there is a report out there that the Cleveland Cavaliers like haime hakz Jr and would likely ask for him in any Donovan Mitchell trade between the Cavs and the Miami Heat this is much different than the last year trade discussion surrounding Damen Lillard folks and before we talk about it I just The Vibes around the Miami Heat to get much better than they are right now do you want the heat to get back to the NBA finals they made it two of The Last Five Seasons so I’d like to make it three of the last six with this upcoming his partner here Gilbert and Kobe Alman Gilbert is the owner of the Cavs by the way would look for lucrative package of multiple draft picks and one or two young players with star potential in a Mitchell trade for example A source told Hoops wire that the Cavaliers would ask for Tyler hero and haime hakz Jr from the heat in Mitchell trade talks if it gets to that point and as I mentioned just a second ago this is already much different from last year obviously the Damen Lillard Saga was very long it was drawn out it was frustrating it was draining and it ended up being a complete disaster for Miami but it was because that scumbag over there Joe Cronin just wanted to spite Miami and not take anything he wanted to go to the public media and his mouthpie mouthpiece Adrien rosanowski sorry St Bonet Alum W but it was the truth that he just bashed everything Miami Heat had and like hakz wasn’t good hero stinks yic not worth it but we’ve already seen like in the last week and a half that the NBA or at least the Cleveland Cavaliers at least view the Miami Heat trade assets much differently they actually still believe hero can be a valuable piece it seems like they obviously believe H hakz Jr is a really good young player that has a lot of upside yet to be seen what they think of nicoa yovic but I do understand why the Cavs would have an interest in haime hawkey Jr the 18th pick out of UCLA yes older Prospect he was 22 coming in the league he did a lot of nice things for the Heat and was in their closing lineup in the rotation right off the Jump averaging 12 a game if he was able to keep his three-point shooting number at what it was the first two months of the Season it was at 36 37% that’s when he was averaging 134 a game and looking like a potential rookie of the year he would have had one of the best rookie Seasons last year but that number did dip down to 32.2% and he really struggled with his shot past 2024 and that kind of led to some issues for hawz being able to be as effective but he did still have a fantastic rookie year and just yesterday he was named on the first team all NBA rookie Squad alongside Brandon pmy Chad holgren um Victor wanyama and Brandon Miller I don’t know how I SP mentally spam there on wemy but either way hakz was recognized as a top five rookie and if you looked at the individual voting which I actually put on my Twitter he was the fourth voted rookie so there is a lot of I guess fans of hakz Jr around the NBA and this is kind of why Heat fans are hesitant to give him up in a trade package for Donovan Mitchell even though I feel a little bit differently so let me ask you this and don’t lie to me because this is an important question would you trade haime hakz Jr to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Donan Mitchell let me know your thoughts down below I’ll say this Heat fans and I love Triple J he did a lot of nice things for the Miami Heat but if there is any part of you that wants the heat to acquire Donan Mitchell get that three-level score shot creater in playoff Riser that DCH is to add to Jimmy Butler and Bam at a bio then the answer has to be yes you can’t answer not to that question if you seriously want the heat to acquire Dage and maybe you say the heat don’t need Mitchell you’d rather run with the Young Guns well maybe they’ll improve but why would you want to do that if you want to win with Jimmy Butler and if you want to run with the Young Guns then you’re telling me you’d want to trade Jimmy Butler which I don’t really see now I will say this with it comes to Don Mitchell trade talks I still do believe you’d have to give up nicoa yovic in this Donovan Mitchell deal because you will just have to compete with too many other teams that are interested in Mitchell whether it be the Nets potentially whether it be the Rockets the Lakers which we’ll touch on in just a second but yic is also a really good young piece and to me this is the trade that is the best trade Miami can offer if it is just a one team deal right if it’s just heat and Cleveland in these trade discussions now they could open up to a three- team deal where the heat trade more players AKA they could trade Terry they could trade Duncan to a third team to help get assets to Cleveland if the Cavs deem it necessary they need more for Donovan Mitchell but I think this is very fair you get Tyler herro Nico yic haime hakz Jr a pair of first round picks and they heat get that Bonafide score that they’ve been looking for in the back courp that can be consistent and Elevate in the postseason I think this makes sense for both sides and I do believe this is the deal that would have to be done if the heat want to get Donovan Mitchell we’ll talk more about the Cavs and this Mitchell trade here in just a second hates the Lakers or it might be because he hates LeBron James for ditching him for the Miami Heat back in 2010 and then leaving again to go to the Lakers after he brought him a title I don’t know why Dan Gilbert would hate LeBron to be honest it kind of feels like LeBron has done everything he possibly could for that organization but either way this is very helpful for the heat if he is not going to be traded to the Lakers because we’ve shown this traffic before and I want to retouch on it here the heat are competing against some teams that are reportedly interested Mitchell that have way more trade assets than them at least in terms of draft picks we’ve talked about the Nets and Rockets both having nine tradable first round picks and the Lakers had three tradable first round picks alongside Austin Reeves R haimura Jaylen Hut chafino a first-rounder from a year ago and Jared vanderbel but if you do take the Lakers out of this that gives you a much better chance in terms of getting Donan Mitchell now I will say if the Rockets actually wanted D Mitch and Mitchell was okay signing a long-term extension with the Rockets well it really would be over because they have four Young Guns right there that they can trade one or two of them alongside a boatload of first round picks and you’re cooked but you could beat out the Nets with your package if the Cavs want a couple good young players because as much picks as the Nets have their young assets really aren’t that good and there are reports out there that people view Tyler hero as a better trade asset than cam Johnson and cam Thomas which is massive for Miami because it probably puts them over the hump of Brooklyn if the Cavs really do want a kind of player Le package like we mentioned earlier in the video and the front Court he’s 66 65 he’s versatile he can play small ball four you can play shooting guard he can handle a little bit and if he improves that three-point shot he’s a perfect Wing that they thought they were drafting a couple seasons ago and Isaiah aor but maybe Hai hakz Jr is that guy to connect Evan Moy and Jared Allen but then you’d also have George Nang Max stru and Nico yic Off the Bench like that is an eight-man lineup that is pretty pretty solid folks and that will be at least competing for the probably playin six seed range in the eastern conference which would probably be all good for Cleveland after getting rid of Donovan Mitchell but they could also have another way to go in a different avenue you could say they could flip hero to a third team they could flip J or Jared Allen to a different team alongside those picks like I’ve seen a hypothetical trade out there that would be intriguing is like it’s a three- team deal where yovic maybe goes to New Orleans alongside Jared Allen and then Cleveland gets hwz Brandon Ingram and a couple first round picks for Donan Mitchell so there are different avenues that Cleveland could go to and I think the package that Miami can offer them provides them a lot of flexibility which is leading me to this I truly do believe the Cavs like the Heat’s potential best offer and if Pat Riley’s willing to make it I do think this deal gets done and I’m ready to get hurt again folks I am I am I tweeted this out yesterday I do believe Donovan Mitchell is going to be a member of the Miami for the upcoming season which is not good for my mental health because I also believe that Damen Lillard was a member of the Miami that wasn’t even just like a percentage chance that was like I he thought he was already at a team might as well get him down to biscane Avenue to get some shots up with Jimmy and Bam that’s how much I thought that was already done but I am ready to get hurt again which is bring me to this question what is the percent chance that he gets down in Mitchell I want to know what you guys think where things stand right now give me a number 1 to 100 down below or you could have said zero I suppose but I’ll go 51% which I still think is pretty high for this at least early part of the off season that’s a better than 50/50 chances barely but I do believe it makes sense for both squads to move on and if Donan Mitchell does convey to the front office of Cleveland that he does not want to sign a long-term extension they will move off of him this offseason so he doesn’t leave the following year for absolutely nothing and Don Mitchell I tell you Canen kind of choose where he goes he has a lot more power than Damen Lillard did a year ago by the way cuz Lillard had a lot of money and years left on his contract Mitchell has one year left so if he tells the team I’m not going to sign a long-term extension with you like why would that team then trade for Donovan Mitchell so Mitchell does have a
