need any sweep probably easy sweep you said five maybe five maybe yeah so let’s see from here on you’ll just win what eight out of the next 10 B right eight dinners eight of the next 10 maybe eight of the next nine right maybe sweep the finals t- wolves no no sweep and also good morning and good luck to kesan Johnson as his Lakers can only watch the Western Conference Finals as they look yet again for a new coach apparently without much urgency is that correct we are minding our business at the present moment and we are working on some things you know that’s what we’re doing we are mining our business and working on some things so the Phoenix Suns just said booten holer we we want we we’ll just boom we got him right owner new money and you know how that goes when you get new ownership they just do it just do it we take our we take our time nice and patient make some great decisions along the way you know Consultants we we put it together the right way I heard youand is that true no I pulled my name out a long time ago did you really you don’t want to get fired by LeBron right okay they’re doing a great job with four coaches in seven years they are that’s impressive yeah okay we’ll see how your young head coach starts doing tonight in these playoffs because here we go game one in the East wait a second Celtics are a 10-point home favorite over up up up up up up so Paul you’ve already given me 12 points for a dinner what is the score tonight think Celtics you know they averaged about 120 122 points over year I see them getting about 125 okay wining by you know since I got a 12o bet with you yes you do you better make the math work it’s going to be about 125 110 125 to 110 PA says 125 to 110 because listen skip they just came off a seven game emotional series with the Knicks physical emotional okay they didn’t even have time I’m not even sure I’m not 100% sure but they probably most likely packed from New York after the series and games and flew straight to Boston they didn’t even had a chance to why would they go back home for 24 hours exactly so they’ve been on the road road weary for the last Road weary worn out worn out physically and emotionally and then you got to come into the Boston G now I get you know the Boston Garden and Madison Square Garden is two different things the Celtics haven’t really took care no business but they’re well rested they’ve been waiting they’ve taken care of all the little injuries you have that you get throughout the playoffs thigh Bru you know Jam finger ex to except for Pingus you know I think we’re going to need him eventually you know that’s my only concern these lowly Pacers no not against the Pacers I don’t think but the Pacers are better than you think don’t get it wrong they better than you think interesting you know they they they’ve only played one game now the Celtics won three to2 on the series but they’ve only played one game since the trade of seaka yeah they’re 0 on one okay it’s not a good sample size yet no now they’re two and two in the games that halberton played M so a lot of people aren’t giving Indiana a chance I’m not taking them lightly you know halberton is said 125 110 that’s light I’m not taking them lightly I think we get the first game based on the circumstances you know quick turnaround they got one day to prepare you know we’ve likely been preparing for both teams for the last five days you know you got them winning in five man that’s light but I think it’ll be closer than you think if you win five game I mean you playing five games you win four of them how is that close well the score it’s not going to be you know blowouts every night that might be true people expect it if I lose five if I lose four to one skip that means that I didn’t have a chance right I mean if if my mind serves me right well based on you two Laker fans the Lakers were right there they L 11 out of 12 but they were right there you talking about the Lakers was closer than you thought but they lost in five right I I interrupted you based on the Celtics had nothing about the Lakers yeah but you’re saying I’m saying it’s closer than you think just like you thought the Lakers was closer than you thought the Denver when they kept losing close games you know what I’m saying so I think it’ll be some close games in here but I like the I do like the Celtics and five I like them by 15 tonight I’m just game two’s been H bottom line it’s going to be closer than you think but Celtics win by 15 tonight tonight okay but I think other games will be closer oh okay you know I’m just saying the first game is going to be difficult coming up for Indy I’m saying but it’ll be closer than the other guys I just think that first game emotional High coming off that New York series tired worn down seven games and they’ll make an adjustment but I still think we win in five you know I think they win in five right skip I think the score 125 107 which is close to what Paul said so you got it to wipe out also yeah I and here’s why but but I also am cautious when teams have so much time at on their hands to chill because another team is scrapping and fighting and clawing now that can serve you good sometimes it can also serve you bad depending on how you as a team feel about the makeup of that that team and how you respond to certain situations what I mean by that skip is you could be complacent that we got this Indie Indie just came off a game a night ago or two nights ago so day two days ago so now when you look at that you say to yourself they still kind of their blood is warm yours is cold and got to warm up so you might be a little bit off might be little bit off you might be but I still think Rusty that’s crazy why is it crazy I mean we played 82 games two series and we gonna be rusty no no but all I’m saying you’ve been waiting all right for so long all of a sudden them shots that’s wide open might not be going down or if you look at on the other side they can be they can be worn out and beat up mhm I you to win I’m not saying you’re not going to win I’m just saying there’s a a flip side to this too on top of all of this pressure skip that comes to bear for this particular team that’s into the final six of eight was in the NBA final two years ago yeah two years ago and I can argue with you and you that every single time that they’ve been in this final they’ve been the better team but has only Come Away with one appearance in the final and they could and and I could also if we want to have a conversation say that they were better than the gold State Warriors when they entered into that final could make that case you can make that case and they so this pressure along with the rest could could you know have you scratching your head at the end of the night mm I mean it could I didn’t say if I said could are you to say today so you see what I’m saying skip I give it all although I do believe tonight they win you know they they were 32 in the regular season I think they win the night 125 107 okay that’s 18 points that’s 18 points yeah but I think they I think they win though my dinner be eating good in the neighborhood know uh I really like my chances tonight with 12 points nope and I’ll tell you why I’m going to throw out everything that happened between these two teams in the regular season because the last time they played was January the 30th it’s been almost four months since these two teams have seen each other and a lot has changed especially for Indiana since January the 30th but will remind you in that January 30th game it went to the wire and you guys blocked two late shots to save the night and made two free throws late to sort of close it off but very quietly a kid named Aaron neith who went to this little tiny school up in the hills in Tennessee called Vanderbilt where’s that at again Vanderbilt it’s somewhere it’s lost in Tennessee it’s a division four school I think somewhere up in the hills of Tennessee was not a and somehow your Boston Celtics drafted Aaron neith in the first round out of Vanderbilt University before you dealt him right you finally dealt him to Indiana but he likes to play against you guys because once upon a time he was a Celtic and then you guys said no no we don’t really see it really develop didn’t really work out so now he’s a Pacer going back to Boston and in that fifth game that you played against them on January 30th he did score a game high 26 points in that game so he is capable and he’s also capable of Defending as you know at a pretty high level as you saw him on Jaylen Brunson so I kind of like that fit of Aaron neith going back to Boston he could be an exactor tonight you have to watch him so what did I see from the Pacers coming off game seven well all they did at Madison Square Garden in a game seven was shoot the lights out at Madison Square Garden because no team in the history of the NBA playoffs has ever shot the ball better than they shot it in that game so again are they just going to suddenly go cold when they change Gardens when they go from Madison Square to Boston are they just going to go completely cold 68 and 69ine challenging those shots a player that’s 6’2 or 6’3 huh a player like who’s not who’s beat up back hurt and Tow hurting elbows hurting we don’t see that on our side look I mean but your rim protector your shot blocker has a calf pull and he is already ruled out tonight so he’s not even going to make a Willis Reed appearance tonight right okay so you don’t have the guy in the middle you don’t have a unicorn to change shots at The Rim while Miles Turner just quietly plays big for them I I don’t I don’t know I I’m I’m looking at his numbers I’m not sure about that okay for the playoffs he’s 187 rebounds and two blocks a game that’s pretty good and heo that’s solid would you believe he’s shooting 46% from three cuz every time he drifts out there and they say we dare you he just says okay I got this and he’s making 4 6% of those on a lot of those New York didn’t have the ability to switch now Boston will have the versatility on defense to switch out so we’re not leaving him open at the top okay so that percentage is going to go down and he doesn’t like the post up so we’re not worried about having them having a postup threat okay so what do I tell you about your team and I’ve said this all year long you live and die by the three and I don’t love it for the best team in basketball to live and die by the three-point shot because it’s just scary it’s dangerous it’s risky it’s it’s like aberration games where if if suddenly if they make 20 you’re cooked man but if they just make 10 or 11 you got a shot long rebounds you you never know right you take and make the most yeah and you’re the best shooting team by as far as makes yeah you know but and you’re up there we’re top five in percentage too I don’t mind it we’re in a we’re we’re in a three-point shooting error and we’re one of the best three-point shooting team okay so I got one tiny little stat and you can laugh at it if you so choose but since the allstar break the Indiana Pacers did make some new commitment to playing defense Rick Carl has been talking about the last couple days that we just got sick and tired of what we were seeing because they were scoring the most points in the league and they were giving up the most points in the league yeah and it’s not a formula for Deep Run in the playoffs so since the All-Star break they have been the fourth best team in the league in guarding the three in defending the three so they they match up that way they’re good at that they do that very well so is it possible that you’re going to see something that you haven’t seen for a while which is hands and face from the three-point line well de divon chenzo disagrees with you on that stat because it looked like he shredded them from three and you know if we’re talking about the Knicks didn’t have five three-pointers three-point Shooters they put on the floor at all times so how are they going to cover that okay I mean all these stats sound good and then this window dressing and window and all this this this makeup and smoking mirrors sound good so leading the league in points per game is smoking mirrors no that’s not oh that’s all good but when you give up the most what’s that all right and and I’m going to give you guys this in just offensive efficiency when you pile up all the offensive stats you guys were number one but they were number two so so again do you think think they’re afraid of you what about defensively okay you youve been much better than they have been until they made a new commitment so the season long stats are going to be skewed a little bit because they were awful defensively even though they did make it to the finals of the first ever inseason tournament right against your Lakers Kean they got there I think really they should be judged off of since siakam’s been there because that’s who their team is so you can take all those games that before seakan played and wipe them out he came in mid January yeah so so from mid January on that’s who they are okay you know cuz they added Allstar piece a championship leader so that’s who they are but I just think great stats you brought up some great stats that they sound real good you know by the way they also the Pacers it wasn’t just they were running gunning even though in Pace they were second to believe it or not Washington and just pure Pace just you know Indiana 500 pace right Indie 500 here that’s what they do they’re going to push it man looks good sounds good I mean looks good sounds good skip I mean it’s just like you know I’ve been out on dates where she look good dress good smell good conversation was terrible really attitude was terrible that happened last night no so I’m not buying fresh on your mind so I’m not buying all that I’m not buying all of that Pacers led the league in in percentage shooting they made 51% of their shots for the for the year that’s pretty good right how confident are you in them getting two games I I just like one game so oh one game okay I mean all those stats are all good but we’re talking about playing against the elite of the elite on both sides you do have the now you had Josh Hart who was just manhandling before he got hurt he just he just was manhandling them he he had his way on the boards he was driving Coast to Coast on them now they have to deal with two or three or four guys like that yep I agree you know how are they going to deal with that all right so how are you going to deal with Indy’s bench because Indy’s bench is better than your bench I’ll give you starting five over starting five but when when I I I kept looking up and here J McConnell versus pton pritch I like that I like it I wrote it down I said that’s big advantage that’s not a big advantage that’s not a big advant I think it’s a big Advantage no that’s not aard yeah PT pritchard’s Scrappy he’s tough they they kind of similar in a way no no TJ more than Scrappy yeah he is T SC TJ is Scrappy come on they gonna BR they both gonna offset each other no let’s just I think TJ better I mean I mean he might be slightly better okay I mean TJ could arguably be a starting point guard in slightly I I think when you talk about guys that you bring Off the Bench and we we’re talking about matching the energy and that’s what Peyton will do he’ll match his energy he’ll pick him up full court but he’s going to pick him up fullt and don’t let him get hot because he can score he’s a better score pton Pritchard than TJ McConnell all right and so I mean I’m really not sure of that listen TJ I I looked at the five games you play he don’t shoot threes at all he doesn’t need to shoot threes because he can get his shot Lane he get to a spot but that’s not an advantage the problem for me with y’all though the problem for me is your’ mindset yeah absolutely what’s your mindset our lack of focus the problem for me whether it’s home on the road or whatever cuz you got to lose some games on the road to be able to lose it a serious so it ain’t just home I mean we haven’t lost a game at home I mean on the road yet but the lack of focus I’m talking about home is a concern I’m talking about just in general since the brown and Tatum tandem has been together okay you went to one final yeah you had six trips to the Western to Eastern Conference Final but you went to one NBA final so this time off is what worries me the lack of focus that’s all where where’s your focus or you are you going to be in the situation where now you see what’s on the west and you feel you said you got five Gunners out there five of them let ask so you should win the NBA championship you got the better team again again 100% again you got the better team yeah so that pressure feels like it may creep up at some point against this Celtic team and derail that yet again well I think that’s a good thing when you have pressure and expectations that’s a good thing when nobody expects anything from you then no no everybody expects exactly that’s that’s that’s normal in Boston that’s normal for a Celtic team you know these guys understand that they’ve understood this for the last three years and that’s they’ve been through their heartaches they’ve been through upsets you know and I think that builds character I think it builds strength and what I’m seeing from this team right now who currently right now has the best record in the playoffs they’re eight and two skip so all these things about yeah they’re eight and2 against me and you right now all right what do you expect you want them to be 10 and0 no I wait a second they’re actually eight and2 against me and you not don’t don’t put him in this yeah well I’m I’m talking about Clipper Paul though I’m not talking Celtic Paul you only can do what’s thrown in front of you yeah you know so what’s the speaking of Records do you know what 15 and 14 is 15 and 14 is the Celtics home record over the last few years years in in in play in playoff games at home 15 and 14 at home concern that is that is a concern for me and by the way yesterday you said what’s our role record now don’t don’t put out one without putting out the other okay but we’re not talking about a road game this this is at home even if you did talk about the road game as I said to you a minute ago Paul you got to lose at some point on the road to get not get out of a round you ain’t just losing at home you got to lose at some point on the road and that’s been your problem whether it’s at home or on the road you still lost so therefore you didn’t get four victories in the other team did yeah that’s why you’ve been at home abolutely so Paul in 2022 you did lose a game one at home to Milwaukee and then last year you lost two game ones at home and again there was the James Harden game where you scored 45 against Philly and then against the Heat you lost game one last year at home so you’ve lost three of those 14 losses were game ones you told me yesterday we don’t lose game one at home but you did lose those three game ones not this year this year’s game game two this year skip okay this year it was game two this year they’ve lost two games TW well well that’s fine but I think so how do you explain that that Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum keep losing home playoff games 15 and 14 I really don’t get it cuz home is where you should be playing your best basketball you should be able to rely on that you play all year long to get homec court advantage and the Celtics have only lost four games at home during the regular season so that’s why it’s kind of mindboggling that this early in the playoffs they’ve lost two but they’ve made it up to where they’ve not lost on the road so it feels like at times that Celtics play down to their opponent uh and and don’t take them serious and and then when they get hit with the wakeup call they respond so win by winning the next few games which they’ve done in the playoffs they’ve won game one lost game two and responded by winning the next three in a row me did again I hate but I hate I hate I hate those Tendencies though I feel like we should take care of business at home absolutely so y’all shouldn’t based on y’all numbers y’ statistics the stats the records all that y’all shouldn’t lose a game Road or at home ever y’all shouldn’t never lose y’all got the better team Paul these teams this is the playoffs and when you get this deep in the playoffs key these teams can play they can have like we lost to Miami you know why because they had a historic shooting night and that can happen you know why Indiana won in game seven in in New York cuz they had a historic night that’s these type of things can happen any historic night y’all should have a historic historic historic night cuz y’all better should respond these are these are these are games we’re seeing this playoffs that we haven’t seen in 20 plus years you know what I’m saying skip like teams just don’t go out there and have these games you don’t shoot 70% from the field in first half you don’t normally just go out here and make 23 threes you know which the Miami he did in game two so what do you say to a Boston team that basically so what that tells landed with a parachute in these first uh R first second round they landed it with a parachute now all of a sudden it’s going to get a little bit you still got a soft Landing with Indie you still got a soft Landing IND I’m expecting you to beat Indy but I I don’t care about I care about I moved ahead to the next round cuz I anticipate y’all going to wind up in the final but is that pressure of delivering for the for the seven for being in there six of the last eight times in the final and now everybody in the world you got the best records you got the best this you got the all stars you got all this and now you going into the final and either get Dallas or Minnesota or you going to crumble or you going to snatching and that’s what I care about that’s what that’s what we have yet to see because you had a I truly believe if the Celtics are healthy if porzingis is able to come back it’s going to I don’t think there’s a team in the NBA that can beat them four out of seven yet I’m sensing and hearing a little bit of fear in your voice about the Pacers tonight no coming off that historic shooting performance in continuing at Boston Garden you know I’m licking my fingers you you’re not worried about the I know I’m going win a dinner you’re not worried about a team who’s who’s warm and another team who’s rest no I think I’m going to see a motivated Celtic team that’s going to go out here and game one and set the tone for the series okay really yep if they don’t I’ll let you resend the bat right now if you don’t resend I’m giving you 12 points SK thank you the spread is only 10 thank you all
