Why not interview Rajon Rondo? LeBron has stated that Rajan has a very high IQ when it comes to basketball. If I'm going to have a first-year coach I would rather have Rajon Rondo. I can't believe the Lakers are not looking at him. Plus Rajan demands respect.

Depth is the way to go. Would like to see how well current roster plays with a healthy Vando, Vincent & Wood. Resign Max Christie & let him play meaningful minutes ( 15-20 minutes). Also increase playing time for Christian Wood. Resign Taurean Prime for vet min but decrease his PT to 10- 15 mpg. Trade 1st rd pic for backup center.
Isn't Ty Lue under contract for another year anyway? He's not a free agent so, why would the Clippers rush to offer him an extension now? That would only benefit the Lakers or other teams needing a coach. If they wanted to fire him or trade him, then they would have already made that decision, or make that decision soon before going too deep into the offseason.
Would be great/funny (hypothetically) if JJ works with lebron to signed a contract with Lakers to be coach with nonreported clause that says contract null and void if Ty Lue becomes available, just to trick Clippers into letting Ty go so we can hire him. Turns out JJ doesn't even want to be a coach .. lol.

I feel like the NBA and lakers pivoted to far the play small 3 point game to mimic the warriors. But size and systems win look at the nuggets, Celtics and Wolves. Lakers need to get back to being the bullies in the league with highly functioning systems on both sides
