one specific trade rumor that’s been lingering around the Golden State Warriors and an East Coast team for quite some time since the NBA trade deadline to be more specific and I want to talk about how the Golden State Warriors they don’t necessarily have to get any older moving forward they can still work on getting young while putting in some aspects to help out Steph Curry and possibly Draymond Green and maybe even Klay Thompson while building for the future so I want to talk about one player here in particular and that’s going to be muel Bridges Mel Bridges has turn into an absolute star in the Brooklyn Nets organization while he was more of a role player for the Phoenix Suns he took his talents to the east coast and now he’s become a really hot commodity on the trade market and I want to see if the Golden State Warriors would put their best foot forward and try to go out and get Steph Curry a secondary score this off season not to mention a younger secondary score here because this has been lingering in my mind for quite some time here the Golden State Warriors have the third oldest roster in the NBA they’re averaging about 28 years old old and I get it 28 years old doesn’t seem like it’s that old but when you put it in a league that has stars emerging from 18 19 2021 28 is pushing a little bit old there for your team average the Nets had the 24th oldest team in the NBA they’re average about 25 years old they’ve got a lot of young Stars I do think that the Warriors want to add win now talent and make it younger win now talent I think the best bet here is going to be the Brooklyn Nets at looking to see if you can add some to your roster cuz I actually really like this quote here from steiny on 95.7 The Game saying I’m done viewing it as you’ve got to build around Steph he’s 36 years old what are you building around him for he’s not going to be here in 3 to four years you build around young players not around a guy who’s 36 years old and I agree and I disagree here with steiny because I do think you add resources to compliment Steph Curry when you’ve got a generational player like Steph Curry you stay with him until is fully done but I do agree that there is Win now talent that is younger that you can build the Warriors franchise around while complimenting Steph Curry plus the Warriors thought they had a small forward star when it came to Andrew Wiggins who’s now pushing about 28 years old and I get it and I thought Wiggins was going to be the guy so did Mike D leevy because they offered him a four-year contract extension during his Allstar year since then me hasn’t really done anything for the Golden State Warriors for me to be be like wow this guy don’t touch him don’t move him a lot of you guys including me are now saying trade Andrew Wiggins because it’s just too much money for a guy that has not put the level of production up for his paycheck but I do think you can make up for kind of mistakingly giving Andrew Wiggins that contract by getting Mel Bridges and bringing him in another small forward star here that can be an immediate starter an immediate win now talent for the Golden State Warriors but there is a few things to keep in mind here when talking about the Brooklyn Nets because they’re not going to be oh hey here’s Bridges take them they want to build around him and I see why he’s got the talent to lead the the Brooklyn Nets to the postseason but he doesn’t have the resources around him just yet Brookland doesn’t have its own first round pick until 2028 they could have had the number three pick in the 2024 NBA draft but they gave that to the Houston Rockets because they’re still paying back for the James Harden trade that they made a couple years ago to tryy to make the big three with Durant Irving and James Hart but the net shut down Bridges trade deadline talks pretty adamantly they were like we are going to build the future around Miguel Bridges but I don’t know if they have the resources moving forward to really say hey look bridg is going to be Untouchable forever and I do think the Warriors have some resources that could help the Brooklyn Nets right now but what happens if they send Bridges to the Golden State Warriors what will they be getting they’d be getting a phenomenal two-way player average about 20 points per games which would be huge with Steph Curry averaging almost five boards a game as well not to mention that’s a really good statline for Bridges who’s going up against Nick claxon in their lineup who averages about nine boards per game Bridges is obviously still getting some work and I do find him to be an asset here on offensive rebounds 3.7 assists per game he’s got a little bit of Chris Paul in him as well field goal percentage about 44% not the best but I also understand that you’ve got other scores on Brooklyn Nets as well but 37% from downtown is huge that could be your second Splash brother right there if the Golden State Warriors decide not to bring back Klay Thompson Bridges is the perfect answer for the Golden State Warriors in my mind he’s 27 years old he has now learned how to be a role player on the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference and then he’s learned to be a star he made himself a star in the Brooklyn Nets I don’t think Phoenix Suns would have given up M Mel Bridget if they knew what he could do on his own in the brook Nets franchise so I think that 27 years old you are getting win now Talent helping the Warriors start off a little bit younger here that’s definitely going to bring their average down just a little bit but you’re also going to be adding some resources for Steph Curry in a secondary score but I know you guys love Miguel Bridges I want you to go on ahead and like this video if you want the Warriors to make a trade for Bridges to come to the Golden State Warriors and I’ll tell you this I do know the perfect trade that would actually if I was a Brooklyn that’s franchise front office they’re going to add it on to the Brunson the devant chenzo the hearts of the world they’re trying to make the villain NOA New York Knicks Bridges fits in there perfectly he’s not that much money they can afford him he’s only about $20 million a year for that type of talent the Knicks would definitely be a team that’s going to go out and get them you got to think of the 76ers the Orlando Magic that can definitely add a little bit more Talent here to their back court and they’re going to have a ton of cap space so the Warriors are going to have to give up a lot in order to get Bridges to come to the Bay Area plus the Golden State Warriors are going to have to make moves this off season if they want Bridges you cannot wait until the NBA trade deadline you definitely cannot wait until next year because he’s going to be highly acquired from other NBA teams so for the Warriors to put their best foot forward you got to put the best player that’s not Steph Curry in my opinion on the Golden State Warriors on the trade chopping block and that’s going to be Jonathan kaminga you’re going to have to send Jonathan kaminga to the Brooklyn Nets along with Andrew Wiggins which would give them a really good small forward I know that he hasn’t had the greatest Success With The Warriors in the last year or so despite his All-Star performance despite what he’s done in the postseason in the past I’m talking about what he has done this year Andrew Wiggins needs a fresh start and I do think he still has a ton to offer in the NBA I just don’t think it’s for the Warriors anymore he seems to be a little bit of a hitch in the starting lineup for the Golden State Warriors but if you add along Jonathan kaminga and Wiggins I know that they work great together with a great big man down below like claxon and of course that would send Bridges and Dennis schroer to the Golden State Warriors which I really like this in case they did want to wave Chris Paul’s $3.8 million here you’ve got a backup point guard right there he could go hand inhand with Brandon psky or even move psky over that shooting guard position put Moses Moody as your number two and you can put Dennis Schroeder in there on the depth chart as well would you guys accept this trade between the Golden State Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets I was talking to producer SMY and I was like you know what this actually seems pretty fair they’re going to get a first round draft pick back in 2025 which they don’t have to wait for their own until 2028 plus you’re going to get two second round picks in there for Bridges and Schroeder they may they want to get at least one more first pick in here just because I could see the Nets wanting to really add up their stock but overall this is what we came up with type A for accept type D for Decline and I’m taking it I’m taking it every day of the week you guys know how much I love jonthan kaminga he is going to be a star in the NBA but as of right now with Steph Curry’s few years left here in the NBA in Mel Bridges proving that he can be a superstar for a team like he did with the with the Nets he’s a two-way player that helps you win right now and I think Jonathan
