Sixers have all defensive Wing as backup if Paul George stays in La like the main thought is pretty much that Paul George is going to stay in LA because why I said this from the beginning why wouldn’t he stay in La he’s from La he’s just just he’s Paul George is just trying to use the Sixers or other teams to leverage the Clippers to give him the max contract that he desires which is like 50 I mean if he’s given up a a a 50 some million dollar player option he wants some money and I’ll be honest with you I do not want the Sixers to pay that money to a 35y old player who just kind of shrinks in play I mean it’s funny that this is the main photo because Paul George is the Michael Jordan of Tobias harrises is he not uh anyway let’s just read the article see what it says man this is from it’s an article written by Alder Amo but he’s talking about things that Ian Begley um said over at SNY New York Nicks uh radio station as previously reported members of the Philadelphia 76ers have seen an anobi as an offseason to okay that’s what they’re saying the Philadelphia 76ers have OG an anobi as their backup plan in case their top free agent Target Paul George resigns with Los Angeles Clippers according to Ian Begley that could okay I I mean it’s that that could be the Sixers backup plan to pitch to ogan and Obi to offer ogan and Obi a bunch of money uh that doesn’t mean it’s even fathomable that doesn’t mean it’s it’s going to happen I mean if the Sixers offer him more money than the Knicks yeah I guess it I guess it could definitely happen but uh anyway as previously reported members of the Philadelphia 76ers have seen anobi as an offseason Target Paul George is also a target for Philadelphia but if the Sixers can’t get George I could see them making a big offer to anobi does that make anybody nervous a big offer to OG an anobi I definitely have some opinions on this if for no other reason then it was Force New York to match the money what’s up JJ um he is signing with the Knicks for sure you heard SE yakum was on the list too yeah I would say SE yakum is definitely on the list too man pretty much any expiring player that’s you know can help you um it’s just that like when you have as much cap space as the Sixers are about to have there’s two things you don’t want to throw it all at one player because again every year we seem to be paying two guys and not have the uh Elite role players that other teams in the NBA have because we spend all our money you know we put all our eggs in one basket you know um OG is only 26 years old he’s average 15 points 6.8 rebounds one steel 1.3 blocks uh you know and he’s a player that the the the stats don’t even tell the story The the guy’s just a Major Impact guy the Knicks were like 20 and three with them on the floor after the trade deadline um he’s really really really impactful defensively and just offensively he’s Plug and Play he fits in he can catch and shoot he’s not a highlevel scorer by any means he’s not a high level ISO scorer or anything like that but he can just really he’s valuable because he can play with any players you could put him in any lineup because he’s a guy that can do all the little things and doesn’t really need the ball in his hands kind of the type of player that the Sixers uh never seem to have right they just never have these guys that can play defense and do things on the other end dribble pass and shoot anytime we have a guy that can play highle defense it’s matis thel who on the other end gets the basketball in his hands and looks like he thought he was playing soccer like he has no idea how to play the game on the offensive side um so you know that’s that’s what OG anobi gives you the problem with OG anobi is he’s never healthy and let’s just read this first and then I’m going to talk about that former Hoops hype salary cap expert salary cap expert yasi Goslin projected Anan obi’s next deal to be from 35 to 40 million annually and become the new Market Setter for Elite 3 and D Wings yeah listen bro you you can’t come off of paying Tobias Harris 40 million for all those years and turn right back around and pay ogan and Obi and I I I love like I said I love him as a player he’s got injury problems you can’t you can’t do that I I’m out on that I’m out on that if OG anobi is going for 40 million I seriously think I’m out on it man just because he can’t stay healthy and what are you doing as the Sixers if you’re just overpaying another guy who can’t stay healthy become the new market Setter and overpay are the same fair enough pretty much fair enough fair enough um you would be going from a guy who’s you know to Tobias Harris who’s not worth 40 like not good enough for 40 million but stays healthy all the time unfortunately and that’s sad that us Sixers fans we were actually celebrating not celebrating injury but we were like yeah we’re kind of happy that he has an ankle jam and he’s not starting this next game like we just wanted the guy to go away You’ be turning around from paying a guy like that who’s healthy all the time and just stinks it up when it matters the most to a guy who’s really really really valuable but has hurt all the time OG anobi got injured three times with the Knicks in two months in two freaking months the guy got injured three times he hurt his elbow and he was out for a while came back from the elbow had the hamstring and then he tried to come back from the hamstring couldn’t even run tried to play in the last playoff game and could not move his legs it was crazy I don’t know how he was in warm-ups and they were like yeah this looks fine what I guess he only got injured two times still two times in two months and he had injury problems in Toronto and that’s why they didn’t uh that’s why they traded him because they knew they weren’t going to resign him for the money that he’s going to want and you know a$1 19 million player option he’s going to decline that and he’s going to expect 40 m I can’t I can’t get down with that bro 30 to 40 million should be healthy and average close to 20 points per game uh oh he did have a shoulder injury JJ you’re right about that he did have you have 56 mil I don’t think you need to be spending 40 of it on a guy that got hurt three times in two months please no spend the 56 mil on three different highlevel role players and just go into La he’s going to stay in La anyway so look I guess the good thing we could take from this is that Paul George ain’t coming to Philly let’s be serious here because the Sixers or because the Clippers are going to overpay for Paul George they’re just going to wait it out as long as they can and if another team offers him money they’re gonna beat the price the Clippers have oh yeah uh christs new Arena opening a brand new Arena the Clippers have opening they reigned kawhai already this is a money thing for an LA team opening a new Arena and and I said I said that they were trading for James Harden last season because I thought that was the only team that made sense for because if it doesn’t work they can blow it up and they can get rid of all three of these guys but they already resigned Kawhi Leonard so the Clippers I think they’re looking at it like they just want to sell hope and you have to have James Harden Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to sell hope open a new Arena and doing a shorter quicker rebuild and they got Tyrese Maxi and they got the Clippers over they got the Clippers unprotected first in 2028 and it ends up being the number one overall pick and they get a generational the next LeBron James I’m just making [ __ ] up but uh they’ll probably trade the pick because that’s what Daryl Mur is going to do but anyway uh George 34 has 48.8 million player option next season um the ippers are hoping to resign George under his max a 4-year $221 million extension through June 30th like kawh Leonard did to become to to continue building a contender uh do you think these guys are delusion like do these NBA player are they delusional at this point you think people live such a rich lifestyle for so many years that they just think they deserve this money and they’re just looking at the rest of the league and they’re like if he’s getting 50 million I deserve 50 million but like like at what point do you accept the fact that you’re not worth 50 million become a rotation piece for the Sixers I don’t bro Ricky Council earned playing time and somebody tweeted me one of his poster dunks yesterday and every time I see it it pisses me off that he didn’t get a minute in the playoffs it makes no sense when you see guys like Andrew nard seconde players or Derek Lively Dallas Mavericks rookie Center you know getting heavy playoff man young guys can play uh Rick and Council the for did something this season that a few undrafted rookies have been able to do he earned minutes and won games for a team that viewed itself as a contender sure injuries opened up opportunities for the Arkansas Product but boy did he make the most of those opportunities Daryl mury targeted Council as soon as the high flying wing wasn’t selected in the 2023 NBA draft but even the Sixers president of basketball operations was surprised by the rookie impact is a Daryl mury quote right here with Ricky the way it normally goes and we spoke to Ricky about this in his exit meeting is your first year you almost have no chance especially if you’re undrafted you have to prove yourself in the G League which he did the second year you really have to focus a lot on what you need to improve and if you do that you then need to give a coach the reason to play you because you’re probably not going to play a whole lot even in your SE why why why is that set in stone so you showed incredible upside you showed a lot of tools in your just player makeup that the Sixers are lack were were lacking right in front of your face where you’re like hey could we get a physical Wing who plays hard who can dribble a basketball who can finish at The Rim who’s going to hustle for rebounds and he’s like hey I’m right here and they were like yeah but you’re undrafted doesn’t make any sense who the cares where when he was drafted in your in your second year you really have to focus a lot on what you need to prove and even and if you do that you then need to give a coach the to win Harris yeah we know that he established himself as a solid piece in the Sixers system did he really uh but he got paid a lot of money to be a third option we didn’t think he was a third option at the time we thought we were paying a Max contract player they weren’t like hey you’re the third option here’s a Max contract would the Sixers con consider bringing Tobias Harris back on a different pay scale no Tobias Harris could retire exactly no a lot of people will come to a lot of people will reply to me on Twitter or in the Discord or whatever and say like we should bring him back on a Mur the benefit of the doubt that he’s not a complete idiot and he held on to Tobias because he knew he could clear $40 million off the books this upcoming off season if he traded him for burkson and and bonovich you’re picking up another 20 mil in contracts for the next one or two years and I I really would love to believe that that’s why darl mury refused to trade him at the deadline I think Daryl knew that this season wasn’t going to be it anyway one thing darl Mur is really good at doing is not giving a [ __ ] what anybody says when when he has said in his mind what like he was just like yeah you know the James Harden thing and I didn’t get what I wanted right away I got some assets I need time to flip them I need time for this or this the fans are freaking out but I don’t care we’re I’m going to I’m going to max out the cap space this summer and I’m going to try again like he’s really good at ignoring a really loud fan base so I’ll give him credit for that but darl M this
