I wouldn’t be elated like with Sarr, but I definitely won’t give up on the team like I would if they pick Risecher or another guard / wing.
LordJxnkulous
Just don’t pick a wing bruh
dangheckinpupperino
He’s not very mobile, has foot injury history as a 7’2, hefty big man, and has conditioning questions. He also hasn’t shown much shooting up until this point.
He may very well quiet all concerns as his career progresses, and that’s great. But I feel Sarr is the better chess piece for the future. He won’t be as dominant a defender as Clingan will be but he will be more versatile come playoff time.
We’ve seen Gobert and Minnesota fair well come playoff time but we’ve also seen Gobert and Gobert-types get played off the floor come playoff time. I don’t want any more stiffs on the floor for us.
We need more fluid, able basketball players in all facets of the game on a Trae Young led team. Even without him, I’d want him to be replaced by someone who fits that description

Sarr, Rischache, or trade down are the only options
Substantial_Life_989
I wouldn’t be mad if we got him but I would at 1.

Idk. My issue with Clingan is upside. He is going to be successful. For sure. But how and why? And how will he grow?
Sarr likely will also be successful but has more obvious physical gifts to make growth more reasonable.
Clingan’s 90th percentile outcome is DPOY. Sarr’s is all-nba. I get that the difference might not be so substantial, but it’s big enough to not scoff at.

Looks like Koncak v 2.0. Sorry but I’ll pass.

His ft% and shooting is concerning, his speed and conditioning is concerning. Cant shake the feeling he’s either a project or he wont develop enough for the NBA. So yes I’d be mad with the 1st pick, you dont use it on players like that.
Gizzard_Guy44
I wouldn’t use the word ” *mad* ”
but I sure would need to know why they passed on Sarr
**just take Sarr**

Question: will he be better than clint? People say it will take a bit for sarr to develop. Why not keep clint on expiring for the year?
GlRTH_BR00KS
Oh for sure
Shark_Atl3201
Needs to work on that form – bringing the ball from low to shoot the three will get that shit swatted away every time, I don’t care how tall he is.

He looks so slow here…

Where’s the clip of him moving his feet getting to defenders who’ve blown by our backcourt?
Ocksu2
I haven’t seen anyone link him to us and most mocks that I have seen have him closer to 10 than 1… there is probably a really good reason for that. Lets not get cute. Pick Sarr.
