Detroit Pistons President Finalists Are Trajan Langdon, Scott Perry, John Hammond, Dennis Lindsey

yo what’s going on guys and today we’re talking about the top candidates for Detroit Pistons job if you guys haven’t been following along right now what we’re hearing is Trey langden of the Pelicans Scott Perry former Nicks GM who was replaced by gersa Rosas Scott Perry then former jazz GM Dennis Lindsay who’s replaced by Danny a and then former magic and Bucks GM John Hammond and current advisor we’re also hearing Detroit could go out and get Tim Conley once the season officially ends coming from Vince Goodwill Jake fiser of Yahoo sports so let’s talk about the guy that I think is the best option which is trejon Langdon he’s currently with the Pelicans he’s been responsible of like Trey Murphy and Herb Jones Jose Alvarado he’s a guy that worked with the Brooklyn Nets I believe he was the assistant general manager of Brooklyn Nets until 2019 when he was hired to be the GM of the Pelicans he’s a former what eighth overall draft Pi 11 overall draft pick he’s also like a great baseball player so for me he’s a guy that I think should be really considered now Scott Perry I’m not a huge Scott Perry fan and I know Scott Perry kind of flamed out of the so he was the GM of the Knicks for six years and they didn’t renew his contract and he’s a guy that look he’s been around the league for a while Joe Dumars brought him on and he was in Orlando and he he drafted Victor Old Depot Aaron Gordon Alfred pton Mario en zonia so some people like him personally he was a guy that was kind of put in position after Steve Mills was fired so I think Scott I’ve never really been a huge Scott Perry fan I don’t think again there’s a reason why these guys aren’t in basketball since like Dennis Lindsay no offense but Dennis you have been I believe what you have been with the Jazz for 9 years and then nobody has touched you since and he stepped down and he transitioned into an advisory role I just my personal opinion when you see that I know he’s 54 so he I think personally trejon langdon’s the youngest guy given the opportunity to run the organization while you have John Hammond who dude he’s 69 I think he’s too old yeah he’s done a great job but I think he’s too old now let me tell you about Tim Conley why is Tim Conley an option this is something I talked about with some people in Chicago when I was at the NBA draft combine and basically what they alluded to is like look Tim Conley built the Nuggets he got out of there because he locked that team into Aaron Gordon Jamal Murray Nico yic and he knew that that team was set and it wasn’t going to be able to improve much for the foreseeable future while he went to Minnesota and he put all his chips on black on a roulette table and that roulette table’s still spinning but there’s no future there so and I’m a Tim rules fan but if Tim Conley want he the whole thing reason why he went there was CU he got Equity he’s was supposed to be an owner but now with the whole ownership thing being up in the air I think you have to look at him as somebody who Tom gors could just say okay you had Equity guess what you can have equity in the Pistons here’s 1% or you know 0 point or 05% and that’s your Equity then come here you get a fresh canvas all these draft picks Kade conam assar Thompson you know jayen Duren and Jaden Ivy so I I think that’s why Tim Conley is actually a legitimate candidate because of what they’re offering him there a blank campus and he can walk away from Minnesota which if they don’t win it this year could get messy but that’s my thoughts what do you guys think I think Trey Jan Langdon should be the executive there plus by the way I talked to some Pistons be Riders and they said Troy wavers as soon as they hire somebody he’s getting fired he’s basically there with no he’s been stripped of power he’s not doing anything

The Detroit Pistons have identified several candidates as contenders for their president of basketball operations role. Trajan Langdon, Scott Perry, Dennis Lindsey and John Hammond have all impressed in recent interviews with Pistons owner Tom Gores.

Detroit is also interested in Tim Connelly, who is currently the president of basketball operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Connelly reportedly has an out after this season in his deal with the Wolves.

Langdon is the New Orleans Pelicans general manager. Perry is currently working for ESPN as an analyst, and most recently worked in the New York Knicks front office. Lindsey is an advisor to the Dallas Mavericks, while Hammond holds a similar role with the Orlando Magic.

The Pistons are looking for a new front office leader. Interested candidates have been told that they will be given the ability to reshape Detroit’s basketball operations department as they see fit.
