Chris Paul breaks down Tyrese Haliburton highlights ahead of Pacers-Celtics Game 1️⃣ | NBA Countdown
so now it’s time to run the point with our very own point guard Chris Paul right because Chris a big reason when you’re looking at the Indiana Pacers and their success against the New York Knicks it was halton’s ability to hit threes he set a Pacers record he had 29 in the series how was he able to create all that space man halberton is special when you look at him it’s not just about how he breaks down the defense you know when you play with somebody like that guys know they’re going to get open shots but his ability to score that’s what makes him different his shot his composure as you see the screen cakam comes up hits the bottom halberton comes off surveys the court and as you see they give him space three bang you know he goes back and his teammates know that if they run the court play with Pace he’s going to find them and this play right here he comes off surveys the court sees what’s happening you’re going to see him come right over here to the left wing and now everybody’s thinking he’s going to shoot the three miles Turner boom open right there Tyrese halton’s Vision he finds him mixes guys up and when you play with a guy like this that is unselfish but still has the ability to score yeah it’s fun to play that’s why they play with this energy and this is why they are such a good team it’s a little bit of like strength on strength right when you look at it only Luca scored more on switches this season and the Celtics they switch more than a quarter of their pick and rolls on defense by the way can I just k out for one second we’re breaking down film with the point God himself Chris Paul how cool is that still though Indiana they’re going to have a little bit of an uphill battle in this series Stephen A they lost three of their five regular season games against Boston what do the Pacers need to do to pull off this upset well first of all I I would say play better defense but we know there’s no hope for that they put but they they they they pressure the ball tremendously well but once you get past that once you beat that pressure and get them in the half court set and they got to set up defensively they’re just poorest this year this year they’ve been poorest but offensively they are Elite only team in the NBA shooting better than 50% from the field collectively as an offense averaged 123 points for one into possessions they’re very impressive off offensively push the ball up the floor turn it into a track you’ve got some depth I believe that’s the way to go for them in order to beat Boston personally because I don’t see them really stopping Boston’s offense but Boston is capable of beating itself if you get them caught up in a style they may not want to play that’s just my thought you mean so much three-point Obsession you mean I mean that’s specific I mean that’s specific but they’re good at it they made the second most threes in the history of the league but the pace behind who behind I don’t know some other team you’re Golden State Warriors yeah well I didn’t even know that but that’s great um but the Pacers allowed the least three-point attempts in the League this season the Pacers give up the paint they’ve given up the paint but the fascinating thing is again Pacers led the NBA in paint points but the Celtics were best in the league at defending the paint so this is a this is a contrast in Styles I think the the interesting thing is Stephen you said the celt the Pacers don’t defend and they haven’t really that’s not their strength they’re 12th out of the 16 teams that were in the playoffs the Celtics have done both all year long that’s why they the number one seed had the best record but there’s something going on with this Pacers team that we can’t deny um we should be talking about them more I’m glad we’re talking about them now they’ve earned that we saw them in the inseason tournament what is the spec what’s Ty it’s not I I hate just talking about one guy but one guy can change a team we got a guy sitting here in the middle one one especially at that position it’s the closest thing to a quarterback I think in in sports as the NBA point guard Tyrus Halbert it’s not just how good he is it’s how good a leader he is it’s how much fun he has when he’s playing it’s how unselfish he is all that stuff permeates throughout their whole team and organization Chris knows this people are going to want to play with Tyrese helbert players are going to say I want to play with that I already do look at you know Pascal seak people are and he but by the way good for the Pacers I mean they’ve done a good job they’ve drafted well um they’ve fit well the pieces fit I think this is going to be a better series than people think I do one of the things that that is interesting is that categorically is there a place where you would take Indiana I’m going ask you specifically because you studied so much of this film where you would take the Pacers over the Celtics I’m going to tell you this at the end of the day the regular season does not matter right now during the regular season there’s different matchups there’s backto backs uh they still had buddy held at one point this is a totally different team and everything that’s being pointed at Tyrese Halbert and they have so many good players right you look at TJ McConnell you look at all these guys and their defense I don’t know what the stats say I know 12 16 but you got to look at effort right they got guys like n Hart n Smith they guard they guard and whatever happened in the regular season is one thing this is a total different season and they play with an intensity that’s contagious and it’s fun and that’s why in these playoffs you’ve seen what they’ve done anything can happen Pace has also been key for Indiana though Stephen A Boston is the slowest Pace in the NBA this postseason go ahead listen listen okay I understand that there are people out there that feel that Indiana is hasn’t gotten enough love Indiana was in the inseason tournament championship game give their offense was Elite all year we get that I was a guy that wanted the Knicks to draft halberton I OB topping that both teammates now but I thought the New York Knicks need a point guard years I want them nobody thought Miles Turner can play n n Smith nart they can play I get all of that but Boston is Boston and when we look at Indiana and how poorest they were defensively I’m also going to take into consideration CP3 that luck played the role too I mean how many damn people could get injured in the last series They just won I mean it’s it’s part of the game it’s the point guards on the saying the same thing yeah no no no nobody want me to bring no nobody want to bring up luck that that luck was a part of them being here they say you got they say you got to have a little bit of luck to win I agree with that you have I’m just saying say acknowledge it exists still you’re still are you okay you recovered from what happened are you okay are you okay are you okay break out it’s been a couple days it’s been a couple days jayen Brown yeah Jaylen Brown is going to be okay if they’re going to be able to win this ser series [Music]

Malika is a net negative
I can not think of a more qualified opinion on ball than Chris Paul (besides Bron & JJ of course). Hope bro sticks around

Great to see cp3 preparing for his new career 💪🏼

Nobody wants them to outside of Texas, but I think Luka and Kyrie beat the Celtics in the Finals.
Yo cP3 legit as a analyst I like it
Thank u someone that was actually good. Kick perk off now.
You mean mr..“ham-string god”…when cp3 first came into the league there was this big rumor that he doesn’t like to run(in regards to training)…could that be the biggest reason cp3 never won a chip? or an MVP for that matter ?

More CP3 and WAY less Draymond.
Brother Chris Paul is a very sharp dressed man
Wow he is so natural in this role. I lke this for him.
Watching CP3 breakdown basketball is an absolute privilege. Hope he continues to do so long-term!
