UD Kept It Real About What The Heat Need To Do Next…

all right well anyways good to have you back my brother I’m telling you it wasn’t the same you know what I mean like it just it just it just wasn’t nearly as good hey man I had to take care of little business I know try I had to try to take care of little business so I Tred to tell the people that you had work do we call it work yeah that’s work in Boston that’s one of my many jobs a lot of jobs so you’re in Boston obviously didn’t go as well for the home team as we wanted mhm um talk about it talk about about the state of where Miami is I mean I’m sure there’s a lot of things being talked about now I don’t live in Miami but I I I keep my tabs on it for sure um what needs to be done here what do you think we what you obviously off seasons are always exciting for the fan bases and stuff like that because they want to see change and yeah but one of them is just being healthy I know you talked about that a lot just staying healthy because I have the talent but what what do you think needs to happen I mean you got to get healthy obviously health is is is is extremely important and um until your fully healthy it’s hard to really tell what you have it’s really hard to tell you know how it gels together how the chemistry Works um you know what the rotation would be how you put it together um I have my opinions but I don’t have no seat at the table I ain’t the coach I make no calls you know what I’m saying I make no rotations um you know I’m just a guy that you know continues to drive the culture and focuses on you know what I’m saying being a champion before you can become a champion excuse me being a champion before you become a champion what that looks like what that example is hold you accountable um do your job every day but at the end of the day I don’t got no seat at the table to make those decision but I do um understand that there’s Championship expectations here that’s R’s job to focus on that so we ain’t been that in the last couple years even though we’ve gotten close we haven’t gotten over the hump so all us losing sleep at night because it’s losing um excuse me there’s winning there’s misery so ain’t no in between for us and right now we ain’t winning we ain’t where we want to be so got work to do we got to get in the lab and you know those guys over there that’s up top I’m sure they’ll figure that out that’s their job so health and health and development so you think and I think they’ve shown they have you think as it sits right now if you have health and development you think that they’re good enough as it sits to win a championship um only time will tell you know I still think Jimmy is a major piece I think B continues to improve um Duncan gets healthy you know um tro gets healthy obviously um Tyler gets another year under his belt and then you just see what you have um but we’ve been there we just haven’t gotten it done um but make no mistake about it everybody has to improve everybody has work to do can’t stay at the same level we’ve been at um everybody has to take it to another notch even with the great year that bam had he has to take it up another notch um Jimmy be healthy um and then we know what he’s capable of um Duncan healthy we know what he’s capable of we got let spos to norra so we always got a chance you know saying but uh you know talking is one thing doing it is a whole another thing and that’s that’s that’s what we got to do it’s going to be interesting this Summer that summer is going to be interesting for them going be interesting summer for sure young guys you know what I’m saying Hae um Nico you know what I’m saying those guys got you know ton of experience that you can’t pay for no doubt I’m saying you can’t buy that experience going into Boston uh in the first round hostile environment they can’t stand us we can’t stand them yeah um so understanding what you know what that feels like you know you can’t you can’t put a price tag on that so um you know we have we have we have an opportunity um to to get better but there’s no guarantee man there’s no guarantee with none of this stuff there’s no guarantee that you get better there’s no guarantee you make moves there’s no guarantee that you don’t make moves really none of that’s guaranteed so with that being said man we just got to see with the summer hole it’s going to be a long summer for a lot of different teams it’s a lot of teams that I’m sure left earlier than they expected and feel like they need to do better and figure it out so we ain’t the only ones no no that no listen we always talk about there’s only one team that’s happy at the end of the year anyway so everyone else has to make changes and make you know get better but it’s what Miami always does an elite job of in my opinion um is that they always continue to develop assets right and that’s and to me that’s the trick of this whole Next Step their next step for them is because you’ve seen this team obviously not at full strength this year but you’ve seen this team a lot now do you parlay those young assets that you developed the highi hakz yic those type of guys and try to get better that way or do you let some of the older pieces go like that’s going to be the question this year and there’s no right answer right or wrong answer it’s you got to either go all in one way or all in the other way I feel you I feel you I mean at the end of the day I don’t make them decision T I’m glad I don’t I got personal relationships with everybody in that locker room they’re my guys I love them guys so how that goes when it comes to bringing somebody in and and somebody maybe possibly having to get traded or going out I don’t have nothing to do with that I stay away from that you know what I’m saying my relationship with these guys is beyond the miam Heat and Beyond basketball you know what I’m saying my relationship with these guys is authentic so I want what’s best for each and every one of these guys on this team so if that’s for you to go somewhere else to be your best version and we have to bring somebody else saying for us to be our best version everybody win I’m cool with that that’s life you know what I’m saying that’s how it is sometimes I think everybody in this league is one player one coach one injury and one trade away from being an All-Star a role player out of the league it can change that fast in this league so just being in the right situation have the right coach believing in you in the right locker room can catapult your career to somewhere you never thought it could be yeah so who knows how that goes but we have pieces we have assets we have talent um do we continue to mold it or do RS make a move I’m sure that’s what he thinking about right now in LC and and a small and a small OG advice tip it for the young is like if it does happen or if a trade does happen is it’s business right like I was traded you you never were cuz you’re that damn good I wasn’t I got sh I got shipped around I I got shipped around but you don’t take personal it’s not a personal thing it’s it’s like they got to make decisions for them you know what I mean like the biggest thing is just about to work this summer is about to work it’s about getting better it’s about developing getting better so me at the end of the day you can’t control that 100% you can’t control what happens upstairs you know what I’m saying so your job is to work get better put yourself in the best position so when the season come you can be your best version everything else out of your hands and don’t worry about you can’t control all right so we had we we talked about Miami so let’s go Eastern Conference because we’re in Eastern conference right now and we get this for the people that are checking this thing out by the time this thing airs on Tu day go ahead everybody want to know about the Jimmy and R thing at the end of the day go R say what he feels Jimmy say what he feels that’s the kind of locker room we have that’s the kind of organization we have you know what I’m saying um we always agree with each other but we believe in out of our communication we believe in saying what’s on our mind we don’t believe in keeping things inside we don’t believe in hiding nothing from each other so that’s just how we operate over there they ain’t going to tiptoe around over there how we operate over there you know I love it that’s regular Tuesday night in Miami people just don’t know it [Music]
