so the top two picks in this draft are more than likely going to be alexar and Zachary ret everyone’s talking about these two guys both from France as the two best players in the draft personally I think as far as just plug and play the way the NBA is going um or the way the NBA was going the perfect player to have is Zach R but in with the Twin Towers Memphis or Minnesota Timberwolves doing well it’s a copycat League maybe the Twin Tower setup is what teams are going to start to look for now big wings Twin Towers you can go either way as far as how they fit in the current NBA but what if I told you that both of these guys played on the exact same team what if I told you that when they were on the same team neither of them were the best player on the team neither of these guys were the number one option neither of them were even like the number two or three they both averag seven points a game and what if I told you that wasn’t even in in a high League it was for the France France and their 19 team in the world cup and what if I told you there was a guy who scored more points than both of them combined and is also in this draft projected to be a second round pick but has that potential you just to be one of the steals of this draft and the reason why and it’s um Melvin a jinka the I if I call him Alexis Jena I do apologize obviously the former NBA Center is his cousin at the same time when we are looking at this guy right now he was pretty decent in the proa like he put up very similar numbers to AR did not shoot well in the proa way but he shot really well last year in prob B and he shot well for the French national team so it could just be a blip this season or maybe he’s just not shooting well but this guy if he did not have T-Rex arms is a top 15 pick in the draft simple simple as that like a big reason why teams aren’t looking for this guy is because he has T-Rex arms he’s 6’8 he’s a 68 Wing but he’s projected as maybe not being as great as these guys and a lot of the reason is is that his physical profile isn’t what it’s expected to be because his wingspan is shorter than his height he does have a negative wingspan at the same time when we look at NBA players with negative wingspans people are saying oh if you have a negative wingspan you’re screwed but I’m like Tyler Hero has done pretty well with negative wingspan Desmond Bane has the shortest arms I’ve ever seen and he’s done pretty well it’s not the be all and end all and to as and right now at this moment in time you can make the argument that Melvin aena is a better player than both Alex SAR and Zachary ruche and this guy again could be one of the steals of the draft in a draft like this where college basketball has been so poor there are a lot of overseas prospects that you just never know how they’re going to get on because like look there’s no wemi level overseas Prospect there’s no Luca level overseas Prospect and like even next year when we’re looking there’s a 70y old French kid who’s bowling out in the proa playoffs and then there’s like Hugo Gonzalez who’s like just smooth but I haven’t seen Hugo Gonzalez play for the Senior Team Real Madrid he’s just looked unbel underage but you never know like I thought freaking everyone thought honia was going to be that guy because honia was just smooth the way he played but you just never know how things are going to translate to the NBA but when you’re looking at um a jinka right here obviously I don’t have the highlights if you guys are I watch highlights in the freaking background of this video I would not mind that if you’ve got two tabs open but obviously for copy of reasons I can’t his release point is quick he has a high release Point regardless of the short wingspan his release is quick he’s just he’s just a Hooper he’s just a Hooper like step back threes pull up in people’s faces his shot making ability is while he doesn’t have the greatest handle is sha meing ability is way higher at this point in his career over re aay over Alex SAR and in this type of a draft it’s like you can find guys that obviously there are for potential which is why R Shay and S is so high but the way that people are talking about like dton connect that look dton connect can just come in he’s going to be able to flat out score a is going to be able to score he’s going to be able to score at the NBA level and like he’s going to be taken way way lower he is like ready he’s already at the level if he builds up that three-point shot because when he’s open up the catch he shoots well he shoots really well he’s not the great is going to the basket and he does like tend to pull up he tends to not go too strong towards the basket like but again is that a flaw if he’s making the pull-ups I don’t know but it just does show when you’re looking at draft prospects where it’s like when you can have a guy who was clearly the best player on on a team which contains the potential number one on number two overall pick somehow be a second round pick like that type of thing just has to be it has to be just you have to at least have some consideration for that it was like in 2022 when KET Lon Jr didn’t get drafted like K Lon Jr was a player from a different era but like he was still B he still has been on NBA rosters whereas some guys that got drafted and that draft weren’t I was like look he was the best player on the team with ch J iy you have to at least take him with a second round pick and give him a shot in the NBA and he hasn’t been bad in the NBA at a 40o game in the NBA even like and it’s the same thing with these guys and the gap between him and SAR Reay is a lot bigger than K of than CAD CAD still won MVP at that tournament whereas ainka scored more than both R and SAR combined he’s someone that not a lot of people are talking about overseas and I think the reason is it’s nothing to do with his actual output it’s nothing to do with what he’s done like how he’s played overseas there nothing to do with how he’s played in the league it’s nothing to what he’s shown on the big stage because the FBA 19 under 19 World Cup is a showcase that’s a huge showcase for the NBA and it always has been he’s been really really good the problem just is those arms that is his arms the fact is he has the same wingspan as me despite the fact he is seven Ines taller than me is not ideal that is absolutely not ideal but is that enough to have a player slide from a player who Could You could argue is a top 10 Talent slide into to the 50s and if you can get him in the 50s this is a guy that we’re look we might look at not he’s not going to be like a Yannis he’s not going to be a goar because people are saying there’s going to be someone in like the late second round is going to be the best player in this draft I don’t think it’s going to it may not be him I think niika jurus is a better player but ainka is someone that if you can get with a late second round pick he could be a real good NBA player and there are not many guys that I’m looking at in this draft and I’m like in that second round Adam boner could be just because of his physical size if you can get him in a second round pick I’m trying to get players that could drop if Zach Ed drops his potential but for a guy who’s 100% going in the second round Melvin aena is a guy to a guy to watch he’s a guy to watch in summer league if he ends up going I don’t think he’s on the French national team um preliminary Squad I don’t think he’ll make the final 12 but if he’s um he’s someone to watch he is someone to watch because I think he’s someone that comes in and gives you something quite quickly cuz I think and it’s not even like an A Mani bats situation where he just could not play defense and he doesn’t do anything but score he’s not the greatest defender in the world he’s not a bad Defender is he he’s not a passer he’s not a playmaker that’s like his biggest flaw but he is going to give you the ability to put the ball in the basket for a late sa round pick I think he’ll do that level so it’s going to be a very interesting pick again another person who cop steal on the draft considering the fact that he was on the and considering the fact he was on the team with the number one and number two overall pick and was their best player means you can’t just completely sleep on them
