Sixers BOMBSHELL Report Including Paul George, Donovan Mitchell, OG Anunoby, & More!

sixer Nation what up welcome into Philly take with RB I’m RB we give you the Sixers news and coverage every single day of the year and today we have a lot to get into so we’re just going to jump right into it a bombshell article with bombshell reports comes out around noon today via Jake fiser NBA reporter at Yahoo sports and we’ve talked about his stuff a lot especially at the trade deadline because to be honest he’s usually on the money with his inside sources and reports and really he put out I’d say like an 80 to 90% article today focusing on the 76ers so you can go ahead and read this article if you want but I am going to go through break it down one by one and React to what he said because I think there was a lot of gems in here a lot of it kind of reflects on some of the things I touched on yesterday on our live show but the Sixers have the biggest off season ever ahead and they have to make the right move so let’s go ahead and get into it Sixers aiming to pursue a familiar path this off season trying to add another Allstar to Joe ell embiid and Tyrese Maxi so he starts off talking about the Pacers and how you know they wanted to get another big piece and they ended up getting cakam here they are in the Conference Finals but when it comes to the Philadelphia 76ers Jake fiser says that is the same path the Sixers plan to pursue this Summer according to League sources that has been the strategy of lead exec darl Mory dating back to his days piloting the Houston Rockets and it was the same guiding principal Sam hky utilized when spearheading the Sixers process that produced embid Decades of data is unequivocal uh the history of NBA champions is littered with teams that rostered at least three All-Star caliber players the odds of winning a championship are not typically swung by role players or veteran minimum signings but by the games great since 2012 the chance a team reaches the Conference Finals nearly doubles when a roster boasts three top players compared to two top players now I understand the point here I get what he’s trying to say however I disagree with using this in terms of the current day context because those teams did not have to deal with the new restrictions of the CBA so yeah when you have a three star team and obviously the Durant error in Golden State really spiked all of that they didn’t have to worry about this second apron or getting major penalties if they hit a certain level you know or reaching uh so high on their salary cap that they’re going to get restricted in terms of signing trades and draft picks and things like that so I don’t think it’s really fair to use that point right now he does mention the two examples of teams that only had you know two stars rather than three last year’s nuggets which again was pretty much the first year of you know going through the whole new cap situation and then the 2020 Lakers which was in the bubble right and that was really just a weird year but outside of that he’s trying to make the point that usually teams have three stars and that’s how they go win but if you look at a team for example like the Phoenix Suns which he’s mentioning right here it did not work this year CU you have three guys filling the majority of the cap and the rest of the players on the team essentially have to be you know minimum role players vets things like that and they just did not have enough especially when Bradley Beal wasn’t really healthy the entire season so in terms of Philly he says the emergence of Tyrese Maxi certainly helps Philly’s positioning after his first All-Star campaign Maxi was as worthy of sharing the postgame six Podium with embiid as he is shouldering the Sixers future Championship expectations and I think this is really a big quote right here probably one of the biggest in the article he says Maxi is not only a Bonafide Robin for imid but someone capable of handling the torch once embiid’s dominance begins to fade so really I think people around the league are are looking at Maxi as you’re going to be the guy to take over like I think he’s finally hit that point where it’s like okay if Joe well embiid is done or if he eventually has to you know take a backseat in the offense or whatever Maxi’s ready to take the torch and uh they mentioned some of the MB quotes about Maxi potentially being in MVP conversations and things like that and I don’t want to feel like we’re at that point where embiid has to Pivot but the fact show the reality shows Maybe be does have to take more of a backseat and not have the offense be embid Centric 100% of the time so Jake Fischer says Philly is focused on filling the gap between them with an elite two-way Wing which I think is the right way to go but as I mentioned yesterday there are factors you have to take into consideration right the health the age things like that the money and it says Philly prioritized bringing back expiring contracts all the way through its acquisition of buddy heeld so they would have upwards of 60 million in cap space there are oceans of spending room in Detroit and Orlando but they’re not as good as the Sixers situation pretty much is what it’s saying they talk about OKC and this is an interesting one Philly views its opportunity this summer as something just shy of Golden State’s rare opening to sign Durant as a free agent without the League’s cap smoothing in 2016 so they’re talking about the ability to bring Durant on in terms of a financial situation in terms of financial flexibility I don’t know if it’s like that because again the Sixers have to fill an entire damn roster it’s Maxi and beid right now and Ricky Council and maybe Paul Reed uh so looking at this free agent class like that one I don’t know if I’d say that I don’t know if the players available right now are of the magnitude of that Durant signing in Golden state but I kind of understand what he is trying to say teams with an MVP and an All-Star can’t typically afford to sign a Max salary third banana in the room especially now especially with the new CBA the penalties baked into the new NBA uh CBA are almost designed to dissuade that exact Co Coalition and that’s what I’m saying in terms of the point earlier about you know that you can’t do that anymore so comparing the teams that have won in the past decade to now I I don’t think that is 100% correct in terms of Paul George it says PG or Bust the list of available players who can complete this formula for Philly is quite short LeBron can enter the open market if he declines his 24 player option and yet there has been no indication from League personel with knowledge of the situation that James will truly entertain fleeing Los Angeles concerns about embiid’s availability to both Play and play at full strength in the postseason will also be a factor multiple player agents told Yahoo sports they would advise clients to consider before signing with Philly another thing I disagree with here right okay tell your clients tell your players that embiid’s going to get hurt well maybe if they had another player like your client Joelle wouldn’t have to be 80% of the offense for 100% of the year and he wouldn’t get hurt maybe that’s the case maybe if they didn’t have a max player putting up zero points in an elimination game or a guy who essentially did nothing for two months while Joel was out maybe then they would have a better opportunity of bre of being a more balanced lethal team and not having Joel embiid have to get hurt every single season eliminating James from the equation PG appears to be the best possible player who could reach the Open Market in general let alone who would satisfy the Sixers desire of adding a premier two-way Wing So as we go through this article if it’s not clear to you already Daryl m is going to do whatever it takes to add Paul George and I don’t feel good about that because it feels like they’re going to go over the top to give PG whatever every once and I said on the live show yesterday I’m cool with PG on a 2-year deal but on a 4-year contract that means you’re probably going to have to pay him like 65 to 70 million or more in his last year of his deal at age 38 and I just don’t think that’s good if you think you can maximize the window and win this season and it’s worth it for a championship okay maybe but does Paul George make you that confident that the Sixers are automatically going to win with those three like I said it’s going to be hard they have to build out an entire roster so I would more so rather go the route of maybe drafting a guy who’s a day one player getting some gems right finding some of those uh more value contracts who can complement Maxi embid and don’t hinde you for another four years but it just feels like that is the way we are trending George’s uncertain future with the Clippers stands as arguably the largest domino to fall before this offseason chain of transactions can materialize so he goes on and talks about the LA Clippers like I said some really good stuff in this article uh but essentially I think the Clippers offer George and you know he did decline their first extension offer whatever it was because it wasn’t Max money and PG’s going to decline his $48 million player option so he’s going to want more and I just think it’s a huge risk there will be other teams circling George outside of Philly the Pacers were once mentioned but now that’s dead with cakam and then Orlando and the Knicks even Miami could be a potential suitter according to Jake fiser the majority of teams are planning for this era of team building with the League’s more punitive second apron as a landscape again bringing that up they talk about the Clippers George has been on Mor’s radar since the executives time running the Rockets when Houston Personnel were more than aware of George’s affinity for ending up in La where his parents now regularly sit Courtside for his games will an optimal fit on paper be enough to persuade George to abandon all that for Philadelphia or somewhere else George has never played in a market so demanding of its players particularly those who have been given massive paydays Harden Ben and Tobias can cite plenty of firsthand examples so again you know does PG want to pack everything up go across the country is winning a chip or the potential to win one that important that he has to move his family and come all the way across the country and even at that rate right maybe take a disc discount or you know take less years than he wants I don’t know if that’s going to happen and it it’s a really interesting Dynamic CU I don’t think the Clippers can compete with their current core so they’re probably going to try to blow it up or or you know go in a different direction and if they don’t then they’re kind of just running it into the ground so look at the end of the day it says you know about Mor’s affinity and George’s Affinity of LA and and how my loved him it doesn’t surprise me at all like myy always goes for guys that were Houston Rockets or play that have always been on his radar but then Jake fiser talks about ogan and Obi Harris by all accounts not expected to be back with the Sixers to fill that two-way Max slot OG anobi would represent an option close to George’s prowess I think anobi is the ultimate role player I don’t think there’s a chance he really leaves New York but according to reports and sources an anobi widely expected to decline as $1 19.9 million player option while League person Personnel are of the mind that se yakum will be returning to Indiana there was word circling among team officials at last week’s combine that anobi situation with the Knicks is not cut and dried various teams left Chicago with the belief that anobi could reach unrestricted free agency and consider deals from other franchises in addition to New York pretty much just forcing New York to up their dollar amount and I said this on the live show yesterday like I said anobi is a perfect fit and Philly but with his durability issues with the fact that he couldn’t even get on the floor in game seven for more than a couple minutes I don’t think it’s worth to pay him 35 to 40 million he’s not a max player and a lot of these guys based on the timing want those Max contracts but the Sixers have to be very careful otherwise they will end up in another Tobias Harris situation other Alterna is for Philly here’s where some of the new names come in Demar de rozan unrestricted as well has a relation ship with Sixers head coach Nick nurse from Toronto D rozan has voiced his desire to return to Chicago and is less of an ideal third piece for Philly with lack of outside shooting and affinity for a similar mid-range space yeah I don’t want the rozen no way too old and just does not get it done doesn’t fit the mold of this team now here’s a very interesting one because JB bicker staff of the Cleveland Cavs got fired today I was a little bit surprised about that it says if Philly cannot sign someone of that magnitude Sixers will likely have several options to pursue in the trade market Donovan Mitchell’s upcoming extension talks with Cleveland will Loom as large as George without an extension with the Cavs you can add Philly to any proverbial group of interested suitors in Mitchell services so maybe Donovan Mitchell is on the radar would that be a good fit with Tyrese Maxi and Mitchell I think Mitchell is an all World Player but there are definitely some concerns about that fit so he’s looking for an extension will this firing keep Donovan Mitchell in Cleveland another thing to keep your eyes on Rival teams also preparing for the chance New Orleans could look to move Brandon Ingram even Jimmy Butler could be moved but it says uh you know Butler and Aid maintain a close relationship Butler may have been the All-Star whom myy most often attempted to acquire in Houston but at this juncture League execs are of the Mind Butler will likely remain with the Miami Heat lastly a couple other names for Philly they it says they took note of Indiana’s two-year Splurge for Bruce Brown which essentially set them up for a BigTime trade Bruce Brown got his money so it made sense but that salary was also matched in the cakam trade so the Sixers could try to do that and it says veteran wings like Klay Thompson and kcp would fall in the Sixers list of free agent targets for a similar one plus one striking out on a big- Time Wing would also leave the door open for Philly to consider taking back a player like Zack LaVine so maybe they try to sign one of these play like clay or kcp and then move them in a bigger deal as we get into the season so that’ll be interesting could they go for Zack LaVine another guy with injury issues everybody’s got injury issues I I it’s a tough year man to have all this cap space and all these assets Kyle kozma another name says another Advanced Wing player on the trade market could Kyle kozma be a fit and Philly all these names every free agent will be linked to the 76ers the question is how do they want to go about this off season do they go with another big time star do they go with more role players it’s going to be very interesting but there’s no excuse you have to get it right now give me your thoughts down below who do you want sixer Nation appreciate everybody tapping in be sure to like comment and subscribe that being said I’ll catch you on the next one peace [Music]

Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports dropped a huge Sixers intel piece regarding their strategy this offseason. Will Paul George actually land in Philly? What about trading for Donovan Mitchell or prying OG Anunoby from the Knicks? He also mentions other veteran free agents that could be interesting targets. 1. As maxey fan, he not ready. When embid hurt this team declined almost out playoffs. This why morey seeking 3 star,. Embid never healthy n maxey which good not ready n dont get respect from refs

  2. PG-13 never been to the Finals, but I know a 3 and D guy that's been there twice sing the Pandemic………..Jimmy Buckets

  3. The sixers are stuck in the past and it’ll blow up in they’re face I’m sure you’ll have 3 stars with no depth & bench lol then let’s say we do get a 3rd star I’m sure it’ll be something with Embiid knee arm eye foot it’ll be something come April right before the playoffs like it is every year wake me up when it’s a bidding war for Embiid and we’re selling him to the highest bidder because that’s how this story ends that’s where I’m at with him

  4. Wtf is wrong with Lavine ??? I much rather have him than PG. He only makes 40M. Leaves the Sixers with plenty of space for a PF and backup C. Jalen Smith and Drummond. Lavine can score at levels. He can spot up shoot, beat a defender to the hole, and create space off the dribble and knock down shots . He is also a decent on ball perimeter defender. He is a career 38% 3 point shooter at high volume. You wouldn’t have to give up any assets either, more than likely the Bulls would have to throw in a 2nd Rounder or Protected 1st as well.

  5. Trade for Mikal Bridges or Lauri Markieen (spelled it wrong) that will make up for the BAD DRAFTING that is hurting the Sixers right now!!!

  6. 6ers should stop worrying about regular season so much. You usually have to face the better teams anyway, why not do it first or second round while u have a better chance of being healthier, if you can load manage embiid. He should have been load managing almost his entire career. You get another all star level guy, doesn't have to be the Durant's. You can still win enough games to make the playoffs, and keep embiid healthy. We are going to be a younger team I'm thinking this up coming year, so it's worth a shot

  7. I will keep saying this, we can use that 16th pick to get someone who comes off the bench now and becomes a starter later. A Center or Forward, no guards under 6"5'! Someone who can learn from Embiid and grow with Maxey for the future. Morley has been chasing after the same guys for years, and now they're old!

  8. Why is Morey so damn stubborn? You win with 2 stars and role players that fit! An Oubre, Paine, Batum along with signing a backup center, a rebounding PF and a shooter like Malik Monk!

  9. Mitchell. Let Spidah score.
*but Maxey would "digress". Donovan kind of didnt allow the young Cavs to develop. Many say Garland hasnt been a star. Yeah, blame Donovan Mitchell. You can see it.

  10. Kuz, kcp, and OG, give oubre the mle, and resign Payne, Batum, Kyle on vet mins and go get a cheap back up center that’s 7 ft please!!!!

  11. Does this organization not realized we are cursed? If we put the majority of our cap space into another star there is little to no doubt something will go wrong. If we sign a group of solid role players there is a much smaller chance of all of them getting hit by a car or some other crazy 6er situation happening to all of them

In my opinion maxey and embiid are easily enough of a core to get a chip with the right support

  12. Because Of Maxey’s Youth & Fast Ascension In The NBA, We Should Use ALL Our Draft Capital To Get Anunoby & Markkanen To Have A 4•6 Year Window Of Emboid’s Remaining Prime. By 2030, Here Is How The Ages Of Our Core Group:
    Maxey 30
    Anunoby 33
    Markkanen 33
Embiid 36 (With All The Injuries He’ll Be ♿️… He’ll Need A 🐕‍🦺 & His True Age Will Be 61 Years Old Body Aging Out In 🐕 Years)!
By 2030, We Can Keep Maxey & Build For A 🆕 Trust The Process Just Like Utah & OKC W/O The League Interferring !!!

  13. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TO :
    a) PG13
    b) Butler
    c) Ingram
    d) Thompson
    e) DeRozan
    f) Mitchell
Only Older/Injury Prone Player(s) That Makes The 76ers A Instant 🏆 Contender Besides 🐐 Is KD !!! Kuzma Would Be A Good Choice BUT NoT As A Headliner FA Acquisition.

The 76ers FA Will End 🆙 In 1️⃣ Of 2️⃣ Scenarios:
    1) 76ers & 🌞 Will Do A Trade With KD Or

    2) The 76ers Will End Up With Markkanen In A 3 Or 4 Team Trade Involving Utah & Then We Steal 🥷🥷🥷 O.G. Anunoby In 🆓 Agency.
