[Fedor] Did Carlisle get spooked by the Haliburton injury? He raised the proverbial white flag with like 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Double-digit leads can vanish quickly these days. Very strange.

  1. Pretty sure Nesmith and Turner didn’t even play a second of the 4th

  2. They were down 13 with 7 minutes left and he benched everyone. Softest coaching decision I’ve ever witnessed in the playoffs.

Yeah that was wild to see a team throw up the white flag like that

Bro got emotional. It’s like he rage quit, very weird to do in the playoffs

  5. Apprehensive_Key_103

I think he got spooked his team wasn’t playing any D

  6. absoluteidea

How tf you get spooked as a head coach. You ain’t even on the court brother

Considering no one could stop Siakam this might be one of the worst coaching decisions in recent playoff history

I’m still in disbelief that he did that. He’s going to get asked about it in post-game.

I’m not sure if it’ll be a good reason, but I just gotta hear that he had a reason

Edit: “wanted to give some guys an opportunity that hadn’t. And everyone else was tired”

    What the fuck Richard

Hali didnt even play good today, benching siakam and others because hali got hurt is ridiculous

Carlisle threw his controller at the screen, ruining the game for everyone.

How is this not being talked about more, like this is legit suspect. This was such a slap in the face to neutral fans.

Down 13 is easily recoverable. A stop here a lucky bounce there and you’re back in the game. Wtf man ur in the conf finals, not some regular games.

This chat doesn’t understand. When you are the illustrious coach of a small market team you agree to participate in the second half after having breathed in the smoke from Batman Begins. Stop hating on this man because he is afraid of various things.

carlisle hard to read. seems like an old school guy who wont foul to stop a 3 or call a t/o to advance the ball…but now hes load managing in the ECF?

  15. I know someone who wouldn’t have given up, but you all persecuted him for his beliefs

  16. Other than Siakam, most of the Pacers weren’t playing well enough to turn the tide. BOS was getting whatever they wanted, including layups in the 4th. One more injury (a rolled ankle, even) and the Pacers probably get broomed.
Protecting assets & starting fresh in Indiana isn’t such a bad idea.

  17. Have to imagine Siakam was either completely gassed or had some pain, cause if both Siakam and Hali are out I get it, but if Siakam was good to go then at least leave him in, he was unstoppable

wtf that’s basically telling your team can’t win without Hali
