Timberwolves embarrass the defending champion Denver Nuggets

it’s on game seven man this it it’s all the Marvels going with the worldall ahh Anthony edor is waving to the crowd as he’s dribbling up like by I told you that 45 Point loss I did not like that I did not at all and still there were people saying I was overreacting overreacting to the worst loss by a defending champ in NBA history who blows a 20o lead in a game seven at home you want to know how I got Scars by playing all but one minute of a game seven I want to go back to Serbia but I can’t I can’t go back home on an L mpj was three of 12 why if he was the shooter of arch Duke Ferdinand perhaps World War I wouldn’t have started Jamal Murray four of 12 from three four turnovers you’re practically playing for the other team Shaq’s going to use this loss against me Jamal he’s going to use it against me well maybe you shouldn’t Miss wide openen shots like these look at this man the CIA couldn’t get you more open than this I’ve seen basketball movie scenes where the protagonist was not that open and you missed and it wasn’t just that one it was so many other ones two for 10 well that’s a testament to the Timberwolves def no he had gimme shots he had shots he should have drained he had shots he should have made in his sleep and he missed Timberwolves defense aside they played astounding defense but this loss right here isn’t just due to Timberwolves defense this is just due to the Nuggets choking this was a straight up choke job of Epic Proportions you cannot go up 20 at home in a game seven and proceed to throw it all away I knew the lead would get chipped into but I said it’s the Nuggets they are reliable more than reliable even amongst all teams in the NBA they can be dependent on to maintain a lead and not [ __ ] the bad like Amber herd but they’ve done that in the worst of ways I can’t eat this this stuff will kill me Jamal Murray started this game off far better than he has basically this entire series he had around 20 some points but the rest of the game he disappeared I’ve had this problem with many other players I don’t care how good you start if if you disappear in the second half especially if you’re the guy that’s supposed to be the Frozone you’re supposed to be cold as ice Not Invisible like Susan storm the average win ratio for these games has been around 21 points second largest in NBA history this has been probably one of the most bipolar series I’ve ever seen they’re swapping winds on their own home floors some of the games are blowouts and others certain people who were hot one to two games are basically ineffective in the next and it’s not even because they’re getting locked up or there’s adjustments made on them they’re just not playing like themselves ant was one for seven in the first half one for seven I barely noticed he was even out there he was extremely passive he was over here passing the balls to people when you should have just dunked it or you should have shot look at this the song goes I Believe I Can Fly not I believe I can pass he was like this the entire first half I guess oh you just want sit back and let others do things look another give me shot and yish was out here straight babying gobear what even made goar fall right there I guess he was looking for a foul and it didn’t work out for him that’s the only benefit I can give him cuz he looked like a newborn deer out there guarding yic but when he did that one shot yic shot clock two good shot huh I shuddered Rudy gobear is not supposed to be doing things like that when he starts there is a problem and you got guys were already losing the game at that point you needed to get some stops you needed to do something to Quail this run nuggets proceeded to throw away all the opportunities they had presented to them from the Timberwolves and just creating opportunities themselves and not doing anything with it McDaniels had foul trouble Carl Anthony towns regularly has foul trouble and I think he racked up some fouls and towards the back half of the game he was on the bench with five go be foued out the game be aggressive towards these people some of these people are the primary reasons why you aren’t able to score and they’re giving you the most issues they just didn’t attack them both teams had scoring droughts but the Nuggets had seven consecutive shots where there was just nothing happening at all and there were multiple players that had me looking at them squinting my eyes saying is that someone else wearing your jersey mpj had one miss where he confused the broadcasters cuz they thought oh he’s getting that let’s change it the wait he missed change it back in that quarter our our offense no you said it right the first time Mike Malone doubt fence people going up to do things and then thinking nah never mind or they just outright Miss they’re not playing like it’s a game seven it’s like the first half of the game the Nuggets were taking care of business they slowed the pace down slow tempo we’re in control we’re not going to rush down the court try to play your game because I know the Timberwolves they like to get out and transition they cause turnovers they run down there you’re like oh no no no no no we’re going to played this very slow nice and slow then it looked like they became so slow that they weren’t even moving anymore and the Timberwolves were this was a game the nuggets should have won you have Anthony Edwards not playing well not playing like himself multiple Timberwolves in foul trouble you had a 20-point lead you’re at home even had the refs on their side there were multiple calls this game where I said huh really they send the Nuggets to the line and you had Reggie Miller and some of them talking like H that do look like it’s a me or that oh they go and call it a moving screen or something but they didn’t this other time all of these factors and you still lose the Nuggets essentially got out nugget it the Timberwolves stayed in the game they had the same or the reverse of what the Nuggets had in the Lakers series and some of these other games yes we’re behind but we’re not any way shape or form nervous we know what we can do we have trust in each other if one of our main guys isn’t doing good we’ll have somebody else Step Up take over for him or try to take the pressure off of him and then you had Nas Reed Nas Reed Sensational defense on jic and I was wondering why they didn’t have him on him earlier because goar could just he was not worth a damn Garden yic Carl Anthony towns guarded yic far better and Nas Reed giving him so much pressure they had three people close in on yish when he at the ball was like get rid of the primary issue here and there was still a little bit light at the end of the tunnel the door was still creaked open it’s like okay we just got to get a stop here don’t let him get an offensive rebound that would kill it oh not only did this right here kill you it sent your soul to Hades they got an offensive rebound and they scored what jic mentioned about having to copy himself or duplicate himself in order to make up this big difference ended up being the reason why you guys lost as well as other issues you lost too much depth from last year and outside of yic there’s nobody who can really deal with a gobear and a Carl Anthony towns because when you saw what that play was right there cat just ran down there got the offensive rebound did there was nobody to stop him there’s nobody big enough to stop him joic can easily deal with goar but if joic isn’t on the court and it’s gobear and Cat there’s nobody who can really deal with either of them yeah you got Aaron Gordon you can put on cat or put on one of them but it’s still two of them and you don’t have tall enough players should have known when they won on Denver’s floor twice I was and then to do it three times and this is the best team in the NBA in terms of winning on a Road next to the Celtics they’re tied with the Celtics and the Timberwolves this just told you right there this this is dangerous this is bad and now you guys have an offseason where you must now reflect on what the problem was but I think the biggest issue here was just you guys played a bad game you guys were tired you couldn’t hit easy shots open makes gone multiple of your Shooters aren’t doing their jobs I don’t think this is so much of a Personnel issue as it is just you are just playing ass and now the Timberwolves move on and this match up between them and the Mavericks is going to be very interesting I I I I really don’t know how it can go it can definitely be something that I think can go seven games but I would give a n to the timber wolves just based upon the defense there’s more pluses for Timberwolves I think in comparison to the Mavericks but I’m not counting the Mavericks out at all with that Kyrie and Luca tandem but this Timberwolves team I definitely think has the ability to win the NBA championship I don’t want to disrespect the Celtics but they disrespect themselves so I’m only just saying what we’ve all been seeing for so many years they can prove me wrong if they win I don’t have a problem with them winning I think it’s long overdue if they end up doing that so share your thoughts below about this game about this series yet another one of my favorite teams is gone I’m officially left with nothing I’m baren who do you have winning the Mavericks Timberwolf series let me know about that as well like And subscribe if you are new and I shall see you all on the next one [Music]

Timberwolves vs Nuggets game 7 ends in the defending champion Denver Nuggets losing on their home floor. The Nuggets blew a 20 point lead and proceeded to jack up a bunch of nothing and missed shots they should have converted on. Jokic was gassed from playing nearly the entire game save for 1 minute and Michael Porter Jr and Jamal Murray were horrendously shooting the ball. Anthony Edwards didn’t play well but Karl Anthony Towns and Gobert stepped up along with Naz Reid and other players to result in a team concerted win where the Nuggets couldn’t. Timberwolves advance to the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks.

  1. You know something, this goes back to Lebron, people were criticizing Lebron for missing a wide opens shot, now that Jokic miss that shot too which is something he was not doing against the Lakers, I think when a team is better than your team or has your team's number, you lose the game.

  2. Nuggets fans making fun of the Lakers blowing a 20pt lead just to do the same thing in Game 7 is the pinnacle of karma in the NBA😂

  3. This is why ya shouldn't letyour best backup point walk in free agency while also keepiny a bunch of rookies and a backup center who can't even shoot well….woulda made it easier on Jamal if he could trust a backup point to do his job when he's off the court.
P.S. I knew these Nuggets were gonna be worse as soon as I saw that they didn't keep Bruce Brown.

  4. A lesson not to ignore constant blowouts, the brutal a** beatings of the nuggets in game 2 and game 6 meant something

  5. Denver’s woes can be traced back to the game they lost against the Spurs late season when Wemby + the Spurs G-League squad beat them in a thriller and they lost the #1 seed. That was a must win game for the Nuggets and w/all the Spurs injuries they should’ve won that game even w/Wemby, and they lost after Wemby took over down the stretch. Denver’s path to the Finals then got harder and even though they beat LA, LA beat them up pretty good, especially Jamal Murray. Nuggets could’ve cruised through the Pelicans & handled their business w/Dallas before having to face Minny in the WCF. And the Nuggets punted on their bench—have suspect depth… guys like DeAndre Jordan just wasting a roster spot if you’re not going to play them.

  6. Epic comeback for the Wolves, but they better not put themselves in that position again from here on. Mavs series will be just as tough if not tougher. Great commentary! 👍

  7. that joker impression was almost too perfect, someone throw this man into a vat of chemicals

  8. This might be a screechingly nuclear hot take, but honestly, the Nuggets should've been bounced by the Lakers. That would, of course, require the Lakers to have been a cohesive unit that played ball instead of practicing their Z-list acting careers on the court, but still, they really should have iced Denver in round one. With as many games as they had where they were both close and outright ahead of Denver only to lose in comical fashion is a pretty good sign that Denver doesn't have the same mustard in their afterburners they had last year.Hindsight is also 20/20, but the fact that the Celtics had the best record in the NBA with Mazzulla at their helm and the Nugs were the champions last year who really steamrolled everyone tells you that they were probably not going to repeat. I realize regular season play isn't always indicative of post-season success, but there really isn't any reason why the defending champions shouldn't have been the top seed in their conference.

Very excited to see tons of perennial non-winners show up, and three quarters of them being fully home-grown teams. Even though I live in the cold Northeast and should be on Beantown's side, I really hope that Indiana knocks them out, and if not the Pacers, then whoever comes out of the West. Boston is just Lakers EastCoast; they should already be sitting on multiple rings, but aren't because they too easily turn into mental leprechauns when they've been perennial playoff contenders since their big name draft picks came in, and the over-glazing is tiresome.

  9. Im still dumbfounded that the 3rd leading scorer for the Nuggets had a mere 7 points. SEVEN! Versus to the 6 double digits spread out amongst the wolves.

  10. In retrospect it kinda feels like nuggets were lucky to even survive 7 games. No depth on offense whatsoever. When Murray or Jokic had an off night they crashed and burned. And even when they both played decent it wasn't enough. I think they'll come back stronger next season, but they have some work to do.

  11. Maybe people just don't care about the nuggets like that but shouldn't they be trading away MPJ at this point? The guy is so awkward on anything but a wide open shot. He's not going to all of a sudden turn into KD next year this far in. He's out there taking double-teamed, shot clock run down Kobe-esque shots without any other moves like wtf. Maybe he needs some more looks on a team without 2 stars to shine but I just don't see it as is.
