Darius Garland Is DEFINATELY Getting TRADED!

okay so after this report if this is true I I don’t think there’s any doubt in anyone’s mind that Darius Garland is gone I want some Nast we having fun yet all right so this is going to be a quick video I just wanted to go over this which you came across this and uh we can pretty much solidify it any doubts that you had on whether or not he will uh be with Cleveland uh you can you can go ahe and throw that out the window so as we see here uh Donovan Mitchell they the Cleveland Cavaliers are very confident okay they’re optimistic that Donovan Mitchell is going to get a 4-year $28 million extension um if you don’t know this has been reported multitude of different sources multitude of different articles in which Donovan Mitchell if he signed that extension it’s over like it was going to either be Donovan Mitchell or Darius Garland and you know from how things are going with Cleveland it seems like they are going to go in the uh direction of building around Donovan Mitchell and trying their best to optimize uh the the talent that they do have there uh right now so uh as far as Darius Garland staying or leaving he is definitely leaving and we already talked about how the Spurs are one of the number one destinations possible destinations for Garland and one thing I didn’t know and I didn’t realize this was this was talked about a month ago uh I know that this is kind of new news as far as bringing it to the channel and talking about it but yeah there’s been reports on this since uh a month ago um this is Bleacher Report basically saying and just suggesting that if you were to go somewhere he should go to the San Antonio Spurs um but it says Dar Darius Garland is my own uh preference as option number one Buckley wrote he is the more ambitious Target since the Cleveland Cavaliers unlike the Atlanta Hawks have not reached uh break wait def Defcon breakup the back I’m so confused am I missing a joke here I don’t know but they could get there uh this isn’t purely about the Cavs postseason fate if Donovan Mitchell plans to resign they will they may decide they’re better off not shelling out 80 plus million doll annually to a pair of smaller guards yeah obviously if you want to optimize the roster and get the most Talent possible around uh Donovan Mitchell that’s the way to go now they go on to say something that I kind of disagree with or actually a lot of disagree with um and keep in mind this is before uh the draft this is before the Spurs knowing that we’re definitely getting the eighth overall pick but it says here the Spurs don’t quite have the Personnel to ship them a wing of the future unless de Devin uh fael uh which he shouldn’t be or is involved which he shouldn’t be but they have Kellin Johnson Jeremy soan all their own picks extra first from Atlanta Chicago and Toronto a fake is uh first from Charlotte that is fake and second round rounders Galore and that’s the whole reason for that I know a lot of fans were like what do we need all these second round picks for especially if you’ve been on Spurs Twitter at all but actually you know that’s a really good way of packaging that or you can even move up in these specific drafts if you want to uh it just gives you a lot of flexibility Spurs have some of the uh most flexibility than any other team in the in the league right now uh but the one thing I disagree with is shipping out Jeremy Sohan I don’t think that’ be necessary maybe if this was before uh knowing that we got the e or we didn’t end up getting the e at and we only had that 1/4th possibly but I I still don’t think that’s worth it I don’t think that that’s a a good move um especially when you have some you know pretty good guards in this upcoming draft and then 2025 you know we we we got a lot of talent in 20125 just don’t really think that that would be worth it because I do think that soan not just think this okay I don’t have to just think this it is a fact that Jeremy Sohan um other than wimy is our best defender like statistically analytically he is our best defender um and not only is he one of our best defenders um or you know most reliable Defenders but he’s also one of the most versatile defenders in the league at his size so uh I I don’t think that’s somebody you just get rid of really quickly and I think that he fits and he’s been fitting more and more on the defensive end with wimy and Devon fael they they definitely have chemistry so I I just don’t really think that that will be a move Kellin Johnson obviously I think we all know that he’s going to be gone um multitude of reports there I I heard some things kin Johnson is more than likely going to be moved uh and then as far as all of our picks I already told you guys what I will be willing to give up for Darius Garland okay I I’m not going to go buck wild here but I think what’s worth it is if you were to ship out uh Malachi brandham Kellin Johnson uh that eighth pick possibly if they’ll take that um and maybe the Chicagos and I think the Chicago can be a really great selling point only because uh Chicago uh uh are more than likely going to hold on to D rozan and if that were to happen then they that that that pick is going to convey I mean it’s protected 1 through 10 they’ll be a mediocre team they’ll be a mediocre team and and that that pick will convey so uh just overall I think that I think that uh the San Antonio Spurs uh should at least inquire about it and they will and they are uh but uh any anybody that says Darius Garland I don’t want him he’s trash just keep in mind that yeah while it didn’t work out with Donovan Mitchell and you know they did the best that they could uh keep in mind that darus Garland actually is one of the better talents um in that spot as as far as point guards and if we go ahead and feel that you don’t have to have some type of you know Steph Curry or anything like that but if you can feel that role um we can go ahead and and start doing the the things that’s that’s really important like uh getting a defensive Wing I think that’s really important and this upcoming draft if they were to go ahead and get darus Garland and trade out that eighth pick then at four you can go after buellis you can go after Ron Holland you can go ahead and feel that defensive Wing Spot um and while I’ll be disappointed not to have Dilly I don’t think you go after Dilly if you get Garland I don’t even know if it’s necessary to go after Stefon Castle uh if you have Garland I I definitely want to take castle at four unless you know the landscape is really forcing that there you know the combine is that crazy in which everybody’s going out after him but I I I don’t think that that’ll be the case but anyways uh that’s all I had to say uh I will get with you guys later man until next time bye bye bye [Music]

  1. I mean sure, it'd be great to have him, but the Cavs want some talent back, they're in "win now" mode, they don't want draft picks. They wouldn't accept your trade package unless we add Sochan or Vassell to it (which I don't think will happen).

If you really want this to happen, we have to find a third team to re-route talent to Cleveland in exchange for draft picks

  2. What does garland do that dilly wonā€™t be able to? I think itā€™d be a waste of assets to get garland. Heā€™s scared of contact ever since breaking his jaw. Not the same 20/6 player he was.

  3. Garland really donā€™t move the needle, I doubt pop would waste all that money on someone who wonā€™t be that impactful for us. Heā€™s a good player ofc but we as a team wonā€™t improve that much.

  4. Garland would raise the floor of this team to where they can be a legit play-in/playoff team. But idk how much he would actually raise the ceiling. Would trading multiple highly valuable assets for Garland make this team a championship caliber team? Doubtful. However, I would not be upset if it were to happen.

  5. Sarr, Resacher and Topic are all good additions to Spur.
But If we go for Garland,
how about do it with Cav & Magic?

Magic get: Hornet's pick + Malaki + two 2 rd picks.
    Cav get: 2024 Magic's 2 rd pick + 2024 no.8 pick + Bull's pick + Zach + Graham ( to help with salary match)
    Spur get: Garland + Isaac

    If we go lucky,
we may have the starters line like this:

    Wemby
    Isaac
    Sochan
    Vassell
    Garland
Plus our own 2024 1st pick to backup.

    It maybe Risacher, who knows.

  6. Anyone exept wemby is tradable. Sochan is no exception. Like if they trade for durant or curry, sochan will surely be out to make the trade.

  7. If you can get Garland for the price you proposed (a couple of non-starter and the 8th pick), this is a no-brainer. Garland is a PG and he is still young. He brings two things: known quantity (he would start next season and he would be an upgrade) and he would bring much needed veteran leadership. Every other draft option has much higher risks. Dilly and Topic will needed time to learn to play PG at NBA level. Either, may or may not turn out to be good NBA players or a good match for Wemby. If you draft Reed or Castle, you will need to teach them the PG position AND get them to play it at the NBA level. Good chance neither will have significant minutes playing PG in their first season. If SA is serious about being better next year, this makes a lot of sense. And donā€™t forget that Garland immediately improves your second unit because now Trae is leading that unit.

It also simplifies drafting for this year because now you can focus on getting a wing and if you are looking for a defensive wing, there are a number of options who could probably step in and contribute from Day 1. This gives SA the best chance of winning around double the number of games it won this season. Maybe not playoff caliber due to the strength of the West, but in the hunt.

  8. Why would you trade Sochan? He is your best defender after Wemby and SA overall has a terrible defense. Trading him as part of a trade for Garland is fixing one problem by creating another problem. Wemby lost DPOY because the SA defense was so bad. Fans offering Sochan as part of a trade for Garland are forgetting about the poor team defense that has to get better.

  9. I heard we are getting reed sheepard at #4 and Topic at #8 do you agree with that? I would way rather draft an experienced point guard that can develop a lot and be alongside Wemby. While we draft a point guard and waste that pick.

  10. I'm not a big fan of Garland TBH. Would rather go for draft guard. He has had some injuries in the past if I'm not mistaken. Would rather keep Tre Jones, sorry. Just my opinion.

  11. I say hold on to #4 and #8. Give the m kj, malaki, bulls '25 and least favorable of atl '27 or our '27 + a 2nd of their choice. Get garland, and trade up for risarcher or take buzelis and castle/holland

  12. I think Graham should be of interest to them. Heā€™d low-key be a great role player on a championship team. He could somewhat run the second unit, but mostly be a good fit alongside Mitchell in a low usage role. Should he be the second or even third best player on that team? No, that should be Mobley in a huge way and then someone else they get maybe in a three-team trade or by moving Allen. Cleveland is kinda of in an awful setup right now, but itā€™s not something they canā€™t fix and weā€™d be a perfect team to help.

  13. Iā€™d be in on Garland. Loved his game before Spida got there. I think he is proven and would be a great fit with Wemby. Could get another team involved if we need to find the Cavs higher end talent.

  14. 3 team deal giving Keldon and some productive vet from the 3rd team to the Cavs, us giving 2nd rounders to the 3rd team and Garland to us

    Something like that.

  15. It doesn't really make sense to trade Keldon we're gonna end up with a similar problem we have rn, where because we traded murray we left a massive hole at pg that we now have to scramble for. If we trade Keldon whos our SF? Champagnie? It very likely isn't gonna be anyone from this draft as realistically alot of these guys ceilings are either at KJ's level or right below, almost all the wings besides Knecht and Rissacher have major shooting issues like Jeremy level of shooting issues. Also it's important to keep in mind Keldon doesn't turn 25 until right before the season starts that's the same age as manu when he was a rookie and only a year older than vassell. He's also the exact type of player u need on a championship team, i could very easily see KJ in a Josh Hart role in the future even if he never develops from where he is rn, which isn't very likely as he's added something to his game every year and really just needs his 3pt shot to come back and if he ever returns to the form we saw at the beginning of last year there's no one on the market rn who would provide more to the team overall especially since the most important part of building a championship team is continuity and building a TEAM KJ helps tremendously at that

  16. I could see us trading two of Atlanta's picks back to them and they send Dejounte to Cleveland and we get Garland and maybe AJ Griffin

  17. If we trading for Darius the. I would say trade Jeremy keldon Malaki and draft 2 wings in the draft put mamu at the 4 ā€¦ he was solid at the end of the season
