is he 7’0+ tho?
I feel like 9 might be a bit too early, but he seems to be one of the more NBA ready guys and can compete for time early.
Seems a bit high by all projections. None have him in the top 10, although a Jazz site really really wants him. Also seems a bit small, under 6’5″? Do we need more of them? If we are picking him to package in a deal for a big, great. He might be a promising talent. If they covet his skillset, and if he is the best available at the 9, then even if he should be picked lower, if you can’t trade down, for whatever reason, just grab the guy you want. He just wouldn’t be the guy I would want, unless a trade was certain.
Seems like a good prospect, But I dont see the vision unless Smart is moved for a center
I hate the “seems high” context. It’s about drafting the right player for the grizzz
Y’all have turned the past few years…. Maybe it was this year. We went for a free thinking sub that gave great ideas and maybe a little wacky but always backed up with knowledge takes. Now we just regurgitate media knowledge. It sucks.
any pick other than Edey is a bad pick. it’s really that simple, idc if he turns out to be bust. he is the best available player in this draft and teams are overlooking him. he’s a grinder, his biggest opponent is himself, and he will continue to get better. there’s a inherent bias against him for several reasons: some racial and some in good faith. we saw how people, including the Athletic and sports media, literally bash him in a way they wouldn’t if he was any other race. concerning the latter, yes he’s slow, and can be unreliable when you need FT shooters or transition basketball. However, players like Edey figure it out. he isn’t your every day slow 7’0 player, he’s a dynamic baller who can change the course of our team if we take a fucking chance on him. i’ll probably do a full on post that’s less emotional and more stat driven when i have time. i just finished law school and need to poor my love of numbers and stats into something fun.
Kleiman loves his project wings.
