For a 30 year old Richaun Holmes and a garbage pick. why why why.

  2. That was the best offer we got? If we got a better offer, we would’ve accepted that instead

  3. The same guy that’s being outplayed by a rookie?

cause we are like 5 years away from being competitive and it’s a waste of an athletic big like him to waste away on a trash team. I miss his high light blocks and alley oops but on our team it’s just empty calories that Chris and Drew can fawn over during plays of the game.

and bitching about “that’s all we got for Gafford??” like we have seen time and time again that NBA teams aren’t just gonna give up loads of assets, or really any blue chip assets, for bench pieces. christ.

I really like Gafford and love to see him do well with the Mavs but the FO turned a 2nd round player into a 1st round pick for a rebuild. Granted they still need to hit on that pick, but it was a good move and I doubt they could have commanded much more.

I’m glad he is on a team where he can thrive. Very few of the guys on this years roster will still be around when (if?) we are good again. I hope that Kispert and Deni and Kuz end up being playoff contributors for good teams.

Are we going to do this every year? Last year it was Rui, now it’s Gafford. Guessing Kuzma is up next for 2025

I mean i get it, i love Gaff, but he would’ve never been in this situation otherwise, I’m glad he has a shot at a ring and he’s getting the recognition he deserves.

He was one dimensional on offense and was not going to develop past that. Why keep him if we aren’t planning on competing for several years?

  10. If someone is throwing a 1st round pick at a rim running rotational drop coverage big man and you’re a rebuilding team that won 15 games; you accept it and don’t think twice. Gotta think long term in situations like this

Because, he’s not that good lol. He’s an exciting player to watch because he’s a lob threat and can make big blocks, but being an energy big is all he is.

Also the GM is supposed to make sure we get more 1st rounders and that we’re one of the three worst teams in the league. Not having a decent center on the team is good for that.

Because by the time Gafford is able to play the perfect role for us he’s in now with the Mavs he’ll be 30+ and trade value won’t be a 1st Rd pick lol
