Yep. I had been pulling for the Wolves, but now that would require at least a six-game series. Meanwhile, the Celtics are looking at a short series with Haliburton being injured. Better to have the Mavericks make it a short series and rest up for the Finals, especially with Doncic’s knee injury. The longer the series goes, the greater the risk of him aggravating it. The last thing we want to have happen is for the Mavs to advance to the Finals with a hobbled Doncic, giving the Celtics yet another matchup against a team with an injury to its best player.

I’m rooting for the Timberwolves because of close proximity to me. But I didn’t have the Mavericks winning the first 2 games either. I was severely underrating them, they drafted well with Lively and did well at the trade deadline with Gafford and PJ.
