Jaylen Brown Postgame Press Conference | Eastern Conference Finals Game 2 vs. Indiana Pacers

Jaylen obviously um 40o night um what were you seeing out there and one of the things that um Joe and and Jason were talking about is your ability to make the right play while you’re over there dropping 40 so what what were you seeing on the floor um just being aggressive um wanted to get out and transition and run um but wanted to attack they smaller guards put pressure on them um get to the basket get to the free throw line was there any motivation for you um after hearing that you didn’t make an all NBA team no I want to say that what would you say I mean we two games from the from the finals so you know honestly I don’t got the time to give a you felt like there was a lot of room for improvement after game one what did you guys do better tonight I think we fought F I think we fought from the beginning to end um we fought better in this game and I think that was the majority as some guys go down um it’s still some stuff we can clean up but I think we fought so um that was the most important thing Jaylen uh over here to be right just how good was it to get out of here up two games to none defend your home court now heading out there for game three yeah it’s great especially around this time of the year take advantage of home court and that’s what we worked all season 4 um during the regular season being the number one seed so being able to take care of business here at home um now let’s go still one on a row more two jayen third quarter there’s a play where you get the ball away Shay under the basket he gets the dunk Indiapolis calls Indiana calls timeout and all you guys played with the crowd but you seem to be particularly demonstrative at that point you looked up to the balcony had hands up um what’s going on right around that time I mean it’s a play play off you know uh it’s the best time of the year um and we need uh we need the fans to to bring that energy cuz we feed off it Jaylen you guys um went to some smaller lineups today probably because Luke was out but Joe had said he wanted to try them anyway what kind of dynamic do you think that brought in this game and how it help you I couldn’t hear you said that on the going small a little bit smaller lineups yeah we haven’t done that too much all year um that was a new look for us but um I thought that we won those minutes you know OA came in X came in um and we were able to still rebound and get out and run so I think the key in that group is rebounding um but that also allows us to play Fast um to match their speed a little bit better and get matched up in transition we just got to keep these guys in front of us um which is hard to do when they just you know they’re getting the ball taking the ball at the net and just pushing it up the floor um but I thought those guys OA and uh X had uh in their minutes had a great value and were you were you surprised at all that they went like third string deep bench with like five six minutes left it’s still a 1450 point game and how did you kind of you know maintain your guys level when that happens yeah um it was a little surprising I don’t know what the um the reasoning behind that was but you know we focused on winning the game so um I think that’s what our Focus was but um yeah that definitely was a little weird last question person jayen you were so intentional about what you wanted to accomplish in this postseason the work you put in being more efficient and kind of projecting what you wanted to accomplish seeing it happened now having games like this and the postseason in totality what does that meant given know how intentional you were about what you wanted to accomplish uh I mean it’s a blessing to step out on the floor each and every night I don’t take that for granted um so I keep that in perspective regardless of you know what’s being said or whatever the narrative or the discourse is around me I just come out and try to add value on both sides of the floor and I feel like you know at when it comes to that there’s not a lot of people better in this league so I just come out and take it one game at a time and right now we uh we got two home games and we looking for the next one Jaylen you’re I mean people have talked discussed about some maybe some of the things you have not been able to do as opposed to things you can do do you feel like you’re overlooked slided underrated and does that motivate you does that piss you off privately when you’re working out like you know do you you see what’s written about you you see what’s said about you and you you you keep a low profile off the floor but what how does that motivate you or push you I mean I watch guys get praised and anointed I feel like it’s half as talented as me on either side of the ball um but at this point in my life I just embrace it you know it comes with being who I am and what I stand for and I ain’t really changing that um so I just come at and I’m grateful to step out on the floor each and every night and put my best foot forward I get better every single year and whether people appreciate it or not it is what it is than

  1. My man JB7💪Forget about the negativity of the media & haters. You are already locked in on a mission to win the chip this year

  2. What can I say JB?? U showed up and showed out!! As for the snub,,, not on you!! Game #3 is on the road 🛣️ lets continue on the Mission!!

  3. This dude still gets overlooked he's improved his game every single year. Been our most consistent player since the all star break and he deserves to be in the conversation for the celtics franchise player

  4. I love this dude. He is straight business. Some of those All NBA don’t even possess a pinky of his talent.

  5. Tatum better get off his ass and help him out ! or he will go down with an injury he can't do it all himself . He has no one to drop the ball off to right now .Where is Tatum ? not even around him .

  6. Don't know why ya'll having issues with JT…he went for 33 n 15 the other night…game be off offensively sometimes but he steps up in other areas…there's an ebb n flow sometimes in performance and JT n company have done a good job navigating that so far…some of you talking like armchair players which is understandable and is usually how the regular fans react but for those who are more in tune to the game itself know every night is not gonna be stellar…stop the negative talk and just keep supporting…GO CELTICS!!!

  7. He literally fouled Tyrese & McConnell but of course the refs cheated the Boston Celtics. I hope my PACERS can turn this series around.
