Why did the Nets retire Vince Carter’s jersey? 🤯 #shorts #vincecarter #nba

Vince Carter will already be enshrined in the N Smith Hall of Fame this year and on Wednesday the Nets announced they are retiring is number 15 Jersey Carter only spent four and a half season with the Nets thoughts on Vince Carter getting his jersey retired all that listen the Nets had to go get Vince they had to they wouldn’t put no bodies in the season cuz a certain player left yeah they didn’t pay me I left and they lost half of their goddamn season ticket holders yo the fact that we talking about this and my old agent just texted me WTF the Vince CED the dude to get his jersey retired by the next your jersey should be getting retired by the next too you did way more than he did in the next uniform it just came through it gives me hope now that my jersey could be retired because I mean he was two time Allstar no time all NBA player in that uniform I’m three time Allstar three time all NBA player cover boy I feel a little I feel a little hope you know what I mean but I know it’s different circumstances uh

  1. The thing is you have to put this in context. He never said he was better than vince, he saying his tenure in nj was rafter worthy. That's it. He did go to back to back finals, #1 pick for the nets, so he can feel a way.

  2. Lol neither K-Mart or VC should have their jerseys retired in NJ or Brooklyn. They were not truly great players. K-Mart was a solid role player. J Kidd deserves a Nets jersey retirement. He is the only former NJ Nets player that deserves it outside of Dr J.

  3. K-Mart jersey didn't get retired because he was an A$$hole with no commercial appeal. VC longevity in the league his good guy image plus VC is safe.

  4. Lets be real K-Mart was a solidnplayer but he was no jersey retired player Vince was.

Vince was exciting to watch play when he was in his prime Martin was just on the court

  5. If anyone deserves to have their NETS jersey retired ITS JASON KIDD LETS BE SERIOUS!!! OR RICHARD JEFFERSON!!!! KMART IS DECENT AND WAS GOOD BUT HE WAS DEPENDENT ON ALOT OF GREAT ASSISTS FROM J-KIDD!!! THAT WAS A FUN TEAM TO WATCH WHEN THEY WERE ALL TOGETHER AND WAS THE FIRST REAL "LOB CITY" MAN SOME OF ALLEY OOPS J-KIDD THREW TO ALL OF EM, KMART, JEFF AND VINCE!!!

THE FACT THE RAPTORS AINT EVEN RETIRE CARTERS JERSEY AND THE NETS DID IS CRAZZZZYYYY AS HELL!!!! I REMEMBER KMART FOR THOSE NETS YEARS WITH VINCE AND JEFFERSON AND J-KIDD AND THOSE FINALS TEAMS, THOUGH KOBE AND SHAQ WAS JUST UNSTOPPABLE! BUT YEA I REMEMBER KMART FOR WHAT HE DID AND WAS WITH THE NUGGETS AND MELO IN HIS EARLY YEARS AS WELL AND STAYED ON THE NUGGETS WHEN MELO LEFT TOO IM PRETTY SURE. I JUST DONT THINK KMART WAS A LEVEL OF PLAYER THAT SHOULD HAVE A JERSEY RETIRED, HE NEVER WON ANYTHING AND WAS AN ALL STAR MAYBE WHAT ONCE OR TWICE AND DIDNT MAKE AN ALL NBA TEAMS I DONT THINK IF HE DID IT WAS 2ND OR 3RD TEAM FOR SURE NOT 1ST TEAM.
AND AGREE WITH GIL HE SHOULD HAVE HIS JERSEY RETIRED WITH THE WASHINGTON WIZARDS 🤞🏻👌🏻💯🫡

  6. Martin got a valid point but I kinda feel a hater vibe there idk. Regardless of what team retires the jersey. We there it was Raptors or Nets. VC definitely deserves a Jersey retire. He was right there with Kobe & Tmac

  7. Why in the comments are people treating KMart like he wasn't a role player. He had heart and played hard but c'mon. He was kinda a bust being the #1 pick and ended up being no more than a rotation piece. And those teams he was on was directly a result of Jason Kidd. Kmart never drew a dime

  8. On the Nets Kenyon averaged
    15 pts 2 asts 6 rebs 1 stl 1 blk 47% fg 22% 3pt
1x All Star, 1x Rookie First Team

    On the Nets Vince averaged
    24 pts 5 ast 6 rebs 1 stl .5 blk 45% fg 37% 3pt
    5x All Star

Some former players remember themselves being way better than they actually were. 😂

  9. Vince Carter is the 3rd best Shooting Guard of ALL TIME. KM should be retired, too. But, stop the hate. The amount of dunks, buzzer beaters and scoring averages were all HOF worthy 🏀💯

  10. Too many statues, jerseys retired, and meaningless bannets being hung these days…. The NBA's desperation for Glory and legacies is starting to be very palpable.
