and Revelations since the Cleveland Cavaliers season ended last week their exit from the 2024 playoffs has set the stage for some big changes in the roster at first all eyes were on Donovan Mitchell and for good reason he’s about to enter the final year of his contract so Cleveland needs to either sign him to an extension or trade him if he doesn’t want to stay if Mitchell decides to leave teams like the Lakers and Miami are ready to snatch him up but what if he stays this seems more likely because Mitchell doesn’t seem unhappy in Cleveland after the playoff exit and rumor started swirling Mitchell took to Twitter to call them out which isn’t what you would expect from someone who wants to leave if he wanted out he would have probably let the rumors grow to justify his departure assuming Donovan Mitchell stays another point guard from the team might become available Darius Garland according to Shams if Mitchell stays the Cavs will likely look to trade Garland he said rival alongside Mitchell that said his All-Star form was just 2 years ago and Garland is still only 24 years old meaning that the All-Star guard is still in there if Garland had his own back court again maybe he would return to being an All-Star and the Spurs could be eager to tap into that potential to elevate their game now the Spurs need a young point guard to pair with Victor oneyama and any team looking to trade for Garland will be pairing him up with the star two especially a big man like wemi Garland averaged 6.7 assists per game over his first five seasons so a guard like Garland could Elevate wy’s game significantly and there’s a team with the right assets to trade for Garland it’s the Spurs and here’s the potential trade scenario the Spurs get Darius Garland and in return the Cleveland Cavaliers receed Kellin Johnson the 2024 number eight pick and a 2026 Lottery protected first round pick last season the Spurs clearly lack strong point guard play they need someone who can stretch the floor with good shooting and make key law passes while try young has been mentioned as a possible Target Darius Garland is a younger and more affordable option and he has proven to be an
