him look at this they have so much cap space for this upcoming year two players signed Paul Reed Joel embiid now we know for a fact Maxi is getting a super max contract he deserves it we’re very close to that and better than that say that’s around 40 50 million they’ll still have 50 60 million to go assign people so if clay wants a 25 $30 million deal the potential is there Philadelphia big city like San Francisco Sports town and we know how Ravid their fans are in a good way or a bad way depending what side they’re on and Sixers need help what’s been working right now nothing they get this this is why it’s not working the Sixers haven’t been past the second round of the playoffs since 2001 ouch so this uh te down to build a back up and beid Ben Simmons obviously that did not go well won then he signed with the Pacers and he did a one inone deal and what does that mean oneyear contract with a club option for the second year so if you need to trade an asset it gives him flexibility because it’s not free agent after the first year or a player option meaning the club can either control him and keep him for that second year you’re going to half have traded at the trade deadline half year whatever it may be and then secondly the financial flexibility with that because you could let that go and it comes off your books so we look at his contract he signed with the Pacers $22 million he was traded to Toronto midseason and they have that option of $23 million for this upcoming season so Toronto can either keep him or let him go if they let him go $23 million off the books and you go ahead and use that for another player another players whatever it may be or he’s a trade asset so Philly wants to try try excuse me sign clay for oneyear contract plus oneyear option Club option 20 million 30 million and it doesn’t work out then boom you wipe it at the end of the next year and you have that money to go so it’s basically like a one-year rental if it’s halfway through the season it’s not working and they want to send him to a contender a different team get young assets back whatever it may be boom and that team can let him go they get the financial flexibility as well so it’s not a bad option Warriors probably not going to do that because we’re not going to trade clay you sign him you’re keeping him as a lifer you’re not going to trade him mid-season clay last season averaged 18 points 38% shooting as I said a tab below 40 came off the bench for most of the season did not play well the start the season had many talks with CER we talked about again and again and then boom kind of picked it up unfortunately you know we report news here threw up a goose egg in that playing game against the Kings so do I think Clay is a good fit for the 76ers yeah I think it’s a good fit for any team that needs three-point shooting he’s not going to be the focal point of offense some games he may shoot less than 10 points all right scor less than 10 points but they’ll have those games he’ll go off for 25 30 points and they’ll carry that team on a seven for n from three type of night but other days as we’ve seen you may go two for 12 and that’s just the story with Clay now defense isn’t going to be the same again I want clay to be a lifer with the Warriors however we look at our contracts again Chris Paul $30 million it’s a club option if we keep it or not we shouldn’t but we bring back clay it needs to be at A Team friendly deal around 105 million maybe anything above that I think we can go get the pieces I’ve talked on other videos to be successful but unfortunately because of his injury there are some questions there so a little bit of a drama may not be the right word um dysfunction happening in the Cavs right now rumors swirling around them when you lose things like that happen he could be a good fit players know him if they like him can slot right in I know Warriors fans a lot of you these comments and I see on Twitter as well aren’t the biggest fan of him as our top assistant head coach don’t feel like he provides a lot of value but we don’t know what he does in the locker room he does on the practice for with the players what’s happening you know you do see him on the sideline a lot standing up next to Kerr defensive schemes putting them out there talking about plays there’ve been a couple times where Kerr has let Aon become the head coach because one cry got the can hey you’re ejected from the game and other scenarios like that I think Atkinson is a good coach I don’t think he’s in line to become the Warriors next coach again C just signed a two-year extension lined up with curry so at the end of 26 Season maybe there’s some type of Pinky agreement or some type of promise again nothing here no notes this is just me commentary that if he waits and stays and C said like no what there’s no way I’m coaching after 26 he’s in line to become the head coach now personally I think they should bring Mike Brown back at that point I think that’d be really sick but that could be there but the Pinnacle of every profession as a player you want to be winning championships as a coach winning championships but as a coach what’s your Pinnacle you’re not playing it’s being the head coach of the team you don’t want to just sit there and be an assistant maybe you do but he’s proven he can be a head coach in this league took a team to the playoffs so if the Cavs job was interested in him I think he’d be okay with that and he’d go there and we’d get a new assistant head coach to be our number one so what do you think
