target for Philadelphia but if the Sixers can’t get at George I could see them making a big offer to anobi if for no other reason then it would force New York to match the money I definitely like ogn and Obi over Paul George for my preference list because he’s used to being a guy offensively where he just scores off the gravity of his teammates and he’s mainly off ball he’s not a heavy isolation player but also has the ability to do it if called upon he also is in a different tier defensively compared to Paul George at this point in his career the only concern for me about OG and Obi is it seems like he’s lowkey just as injury-prone as Joel embiid I also think there are cheaper options out there like John Collins or Kyle kzo that can give you the same sort of things as OG at a way cheaper price like I said I’ll take OG I think he fits very well but him being a Nick seems set in stone and overall I think you can find someone out there just as impactful who buys into the little things like an OG for a cheaper price because OG is probably going to be making around $ 35 to $40 million and getting someone for cheaper opens the door for more moves but according to the sponsor of Thompson fit though I’m not going to lie I feel like that’s an unpopular opinion in the Sixers world I think it’s a super underrated fit his dribble handoff game with embiid would go crazy he has been given up on because he’s not who he used to be but he’s still a very good basketball player he’s definitely on the downward swing of his career but the thing about him is teams still respect his shooting because you have to I mean I remember he came off two major injuries came back for a finals run and he was getting face guarded off ball with Steph Curry on his team in the NBA Finals versus the Boston Celtics he has great size at the two positions 66 well putting up 93o pointers a game at 38% his defense has fallen off but he’s not like JJ reck but that’s who I would compare him to and that’s why I’m saying he’s a great fit he’s basically a hypercharged JJ reic and we got JJ IC when he wasn’t in his prime and Klay Thompson’s not afraid of the moment and also in his head he still believes he’s that guy and he has made a ton of big shots I think he would be highly motivated to show that he still got something left in the tank and he’s not just a Steph Curry you know Merchant overall he brings real gravity off ball and you would have two players that are lethal one pass away from Joan beid Klay Thompson and tyres Maxi not only that but they’re also lethal in the dribble handoff game with Joan well on beid making your offense much more Dynamic that brings me to Zack LaVine I’m not going to lie I’m warming up to him according to the article the Sixers would potentially consider trading for Zack LaVine in the case that Chicago or another team is willing to attach draft Capital as well if the Sixers were to strike out on a star I’ve warmed up on the idea of trading for Zack LaVine because his value is in the dumps right now but I don’t see a difference in that big contract compared to overpaying Paul George I’d rather 29-year-old Zack LaVine over 35-year-old Paul George if I’m being real especially if you can get an asset in return he’s been disrespected and on for a whole season he’s going to want to prove himself he also fits way better with embiid than Paul George Zack LaVine actually works with embiid and Nick nurse’s offense is all about the dribble handoff game and that is lavine’s bread and butter and his specialty I really don’t see how George MBI are consistently going to play off of each other and make each other’s offensive game easier I just see it as more of a your turn my turn sort of thing I think that’s how it’s going to be which isn’t all bad because both are good isolation players I just think having a third star that can actually play off of Joel and be consistently in the dribble handoff game is much more you know valuable I also believe Nick nurse would get Zack leavine to buy in defensively he has the tools to be a good Defender it’s just all about mindset also in the Jake article I found this interesting the organization believes that tyres Maxi is not only a robin but someone capable of carrying the torch once Joel embiid starts to decline my question is so if they believe this why are they so focused on overpaying declining star players when you can find the next big thing in terms of elite role players that can also potentially turn into star value not going to lie I’m praying the Paul George stuff is just leverag so he gets as much money as possible from the Clippers I just feel like signing Paul George is just I don’t know it just feels like James Harden all over again you know there’s great things there’s good things but at the end of the day it just feels like you’re signing up to fall short once again I would rather take my chance on a younger player and try to get a deeper team that’s just my opinion
