let’s go ahead and take a quick look at this report from Evan Cy S I don’t know kavus cwell Pope could earn around $20 million annually as an unrestricted free agent cwell Pope’s Championship experience will be coveted by contenders but also teams looking to take the next step towards playoff contention keep an eye on the Sixers Spurs and Magic as potential suters for kcp uh the Nuggets will like to resign Carwell Pope but their tax bill projected into the second apron could force their hand so yeah so throwing us in the mix I I really do like the fact that we are in the mix so just overall what my thoughts about this is I think that this would actually be a really great uh pickup uh because more than likely in this off season the Spurs or are going to get rid of uh Kellin John right and I think that you know while I don’t think the Spurs are at the point right now where you know they’re going to be a deep playoff team and this type of player comes on and he just fixes everything I don’t think that that’s going to be the case um but I do like what he brings and for what the Spurs are more than likely getting in this upcoming draft whether it be Ron Holland or whether it be um uh uh uh Stefon Castle I think having someone like uh kavus cwell Pope really helps guys like that and we have quite a few players on this squad right now that has that kind of 3 and D capability right we know that Devin fael you know while he’s not the greatest defender in the world he’s a pretty good Defender um he could really learn from cavius uh we all know that you know Jeremy soan he’s a really good Defender he could learn from someone like cavius I just think that he’s one of those veterans that I’m okay with I just don’t necessarily see um much use if the Spurs were to go after like a Chris Paul um while that white would be nice that he can like help guys like Blake Wesley maybe I don’t know how many minutes he’ll take away from him or he can help Trey Jones or if the Spurs were to get Darius Garland maybe that will be nice he’ll be able to help them I I just don’t think that is necessary because he also just doesn’t really bring much on the court right now I mean he’s took a huge step back so someone like CP3 I just don’t think that that is is necessary but kcp I think that’s a perfect uh fit especially since I think it’s inevitable at this point I’ll be very shocked I’ll tell you that right like from what I heard I’ll be really shocked if Kellin Johnson is still on the roster uh come next season so um this as you know a replacement for the time being is huge I he he fits within um how the Spurs would want to play uh he fits what you kind of need uh and with these young guys you know coming up that the Spurs are definitely going Direction where we’re getting some more Defenders uh to help wimy out I think that cavius uh cwell Pope would be will be great in in that aspect and just helping out um for what what he brings so I I I like him as a player I’ve always liked him as a player obviously got the championship uh mentality Championship experience so that to add on um something that I don’t want to be a jerk Chris Paul not he ain’t got that uh so it it it’s just nice um if if they win this direction so you let me know what you think uh but you know just saying that you know we should be ones that you know keep an eye out on I I don’t take anything you know Evans says with a grain of salt uh he’s a he’s pretty good at covering uh NBA news so uh I I like I like this a lot hold on let’s see what some of the comments say nuggets run over let’s see whoever pays 20 million will be making a mistake 10 to 15 in his max is his max I don’t think so I I think he is worth 20 if you look around the league let’s see what people disagree with 20 minut really isn’t that much anymore yeah yeah 20 yeah Pope to the Lakers gosh everybody wants the Lakers to get somebody have fun plugging in Christian brwn that would be a huge loss for Denver all braon needs to do is get a little better at shooting the three and he will be better than kcp for a fraction of the price hope he stays but either way I’m good with it yeah I don’t know about that but anyways um yeah c k kcp will be uh really big for the for the Spurs but um and you know like a commenter said he does have his ring so go go play with wimy man go
