all right welcome to Hoops tonight here at the volume happy Sunday everybody hope all you guys are having a great weekend we’re going to be breaking down Eastern Conference Finals game three a big comeback victory for the Boston Celtics I’ve got 21 clips of film that we’re going to go over to break that game down you guys know the drill before we get started subscribe to the Hoops Tonight under Hoops tonight and then keep dropping mailbag questions in the YouTube comments so we can keep getting them throughout the rest of the postseason one other the thing so it looks like our show with Colin is actually getting delayed until tomorrow night uh because of some travel stuff so like tonight we’re going to just be doing a normal Hoops tonight instant reaction after game three of wolves Mavs and then tomorrow after the Celtics Pacers game we’re going to be going with Colin on that note let’s talk some basketball so obviously with Tyrese Alberton being out the series is over that that’s that’s not exactly a hot take but that said it’s a desperate team right at home that down 20 going home type of game I always refer to that as the buzz saw game it’s like the hardest playoff game to win as a favorite right like you don’t have any urgency because you’re up 20 in the series and you clearly don’t feel very threatened you’re going on the road the other team’s playing like they’ve got nothing to lose the home crowd’s behind them especially a young team like Indiana that has a lot of Team Speed you have to match that speed in with your effort your physical exertion which is like the number one thing that can get put on the back burner as soon as you stop stop feeling urgency right and then Andrew nard in particular and he he picked the Celtics apart for various stretches of this game right Andre mhart is a really good guard I remember I did a video last year those of you guys who remember there was a a game where I want to say that I think I think it was last year it might have been the year before but I’m pretty sure it was last year where the Pacers went on the road into Golden State and and won a game and in that game Andrew nard ran something like it was I can’t remember the exact numbers but he ran something like 35 pick and rolls and on those 35 pick and rolls the Pacers scored like 52 points and I broke down all the different ways that Andrew neard can cause problems for teams especially when they’re in some sort of like traditional type of pick and roll coverage he’s a guy that can hit pullup threes he can hit pullup twos he can hit floaters and get to the rim and he can make the passing reads out of it right and like that’s kind of the a lot of that is the nature of the modern NBA we just have a lot of talent and so there are guys that are in lower rolls on or smaller rolls on some of these teams that are capable of burning you when they uh when you’re not matching that intensity right and obviously throughout this game there were stretches where where Boston was not matching that intensity as they fell down big but they were able to come back and get it late uh Jason Tatum was picking the Pacers apart with a basic kind of pick and pop cover uh pick and pop to beat their drop coverage to get Al Horford wide open threes we’re going to uh get into that a little bit Drew holiday just made multiple unbelievable defensive plays down the stretch of the game that that got the key stops they needed against Indiana Jason Tatum hit a big three Drew holiday had a big driving and one against Pascal SE yakum and the Celtics got out of there with a win we’re gonna get into the film I’m G to break the film session into three parts I want to go into the late game sequence TJ McConnell hit a corner three in the right corner to put the Pacers up eight with three minutes left we’re going to go over that three minute stretch and just how the Celtics came back and won the game then I want to dig a little bit into a couple of things with Jason Tatum specifically some of the bully ball he played against Aon nemith and then also some of the stuff he was doing to get Al Horford wide open looks we’ll break that down in some detail and then at the end I want to just do a little bit of a shout out to Derek white Dereck White had four blocks in this game and literally every single one of them was absurd and this is becoming a trend with Derek white where it’s like it’s not just that he’s getting blocks he’s getting blocks on plays that you just that are just bizarre in the sense that you just don’t see this type of uh of positional player get these types of deflections and blocks in these types of high lever situations it was unbelievable we’re going to get into all that without any further Ado let’s start with the late game sequence all right so uh to start things off TJ McConnell hits a three right that puts the Pacers up by eight with under three minutes left we get uh a sequence here where both teams botch the exact same coverage and we trade layups so very simply as you can see here TJ McConnell’s guarding Derek white Pascal siakam’s guarding Drew holiday right so we’re gonna get a little uh a little brush screen and we’re g to switch right so now TJ McConnell is on Drew holiday and Pascal sakam is on Derek white so then they’re going to go back and run a dribble handoff it’s basically should be the exact same interchange right you just did it right Little Brush screen you switched right got a dribble handoff instead of switching it Pascal SE yakum lunges forward TJ McConnell is expecting a switch Drew holiday slips behind and gets an easy layup on the backline and you’re like okay clearly uh uh just a very simple defensive breakdown there but they go to the other end and then the Pacers do the exact same thing T.J McConnell’s dribbling up the floor Drew holiday is guarding Pascal sakam Derrick White is guarding T.J McConnell this should just be a switch but Derek tries to go under now again I don’t think this one was a miscommunication I just think this was the wrong coverage for this situation Derek white can hold up on switches we’ve seen him do it before blocked Miles Turner on a fadeaway jumper earlier in the game but like this is one of those things where if you just switch this you could shut off the driving angle and if pasas yakum does try to attack Derek white in the post you can handle that as a team but instead they don’t switch Derrick tries to go under but he can’t meet him on the other side and TJ McConnell gets a layup this next possession again uh Jaylen Brown was one of the best post fadeaway Shooters in the League this year but I found this to be incredibly impressive because of the matchup so you guys are going to see what’s called a scram switch here so Andrew neard is on the ball he’s kind of sort of fronting the post a little bit Drew holiday is goingon to throw an overthe top pass to try to give J Jaylen the ability to kind of seal Andrew and get an angle for this pass but watch Miles Turner he is now as the pass is in the air switching this is called a scram switch so boom switch Andrew neard leaves and he gets out of the situation and now it’s Jaylen Brown posting Miles Turner now what’s crazy about this is most people would be like okay not the right matchup not the guy to go at in the post let’s kick this out and let’s see if we can find something better but this is the first of two times down the stretch of this game where smaller Boston perimeter players just went to work in the post against bigger Indiana Pacer forwards and got buckets and Jaylen Brown just goes to a little spin move here and then just a lean back jumper and knocks it down over the top of mil Turner very very impressive shot making from Jaylen Brown very good defense here from the from the Celtics as they finally get a stop they’re it’s going to start with they post up a pascal sakam on a switch as I mentioned earlier this is the exact same switch I was calling for earlier right you get Derek white switched on to Pascal sakam they’re going to go attack him in the post but as I mentioned on that last clip you can handle that as a team and the in the uh Celtics do a very good job of that here so fronting the post they’re going to swing the ball around uh a little swim move from cakam gets inside or gets positioned to catch the ball right here comes the double but on the double there’s poor spacing because TJ McConnell’s not super aggressive from above from above the break at least he kind of cuts through they’re able to rotate out of it as soon as Drew holiday this is the other piece of it too Drew holiday likes this matchup so essentially once Drew gets into the picture and he dribbles away and he’s no longer a threat Derrik white realizes there’s no reason for him to hang out there anymore he recovers now the advantage is gone go to the other end nard drives into the lane we get a nice help possession from Drew holiday Drew holiday had so many of these like Savvy kind of peel off help situations um down the stretch of this game we get a much better close out to TJ McConnell here remember remember TJ just hit a three from this exact same spot two possessions earlier we get a good close out from Derek white he chases him off the line Miles Turner ends up being the release valve here right around the top of the key and then Al Horford nice contest on that fallway jumper the Celtics finally get a stop go down to the other end and this is just beautiful transition basketball in my opinion from the Celtics so like again Derek white dribbles the ball up the floor he sees Drew holiday Drew holiday makes remember how I talk about the idea of like baked in reads like B a in uh rip moves so on this possession if you guys see right here as as Derrik white is bringing the ball up the floor he sees Andrew nard guarding him he sees Miles Turner guarding Al Horford so he knows Drew holiday is the guy that that uh is basically not matched up at this point so when dererk throws the pass now Andrew neart is closing out on Drew holiday’s right shoulder so Drew holiday in just a simple readand react basketball play that’s been programmed into him since he was a little kid rips through to the left because that’s the that’s the easy read that’s available right so now he has a driving angle as soon as he rips through to the left that’s gonna pull SE yakum into help right so now SE yakum is into help off of Jaylen Brown so we have a swing pass to Jaylen Brown you could see this play developing Aaron n Smith was the guy that took over on Derek white after that first pass T.J McConnell is guarding Jason Tatum as the trailer but as soon as Drew holiday makes this kickout pass to d uh to Jaylen TJ has to to rot Aaron n Smith is kind of caught in no man’s land and Jason Tatum is wide open for the trailing three at the top of the key so to put it simply a very simple and basic decision from Derek white oh no one’s matched up with Drew Drew holiday just I’m gonna take this baked in rip through move to the left draws draws in help extra pass extra pass wide open three that’s just textbook transition basketball Tatum knocks it down Tatum was unbelievable in this game we’re going to get into that in more detail here in a little bit we’re this close to crowning a new NBA champ and with the action heating up on the court it’s even hotter at draftking Sportsbook an official sports betting partner of the NBA there’s only on DraftKings the crown is yours so uh I didn’t put this clip in there but on the the next Pacers possession Andrew neard drew a foul on a drive in a ball screen got into the lane uh just kind of tried to split the gap between a couple guys Celtics ripped down and they got a foul so it’s 111 to 106 now here is is the last of many Al Horford 3s that Jason Tatum developed out of basically a pick and pop now one of the concepts that I talked about when we uh I’ve talked about this a lot over the course of the season but the concept of a drop coverage is similar off the ball as it is on the ball so imagine if Jason Tatum had the basketball here and Al Horford set a ball screen and Tatum dribbled off of this it would effectively be the exact same coverage as it looks here with a wide pin down and with the ball up here being delivered to Tatum so as Tatum comes off this pin down we have Aaron neith in trailing position right and as Aon neith is in trailing position Miles Turner is in help Tatum gets an angle on N Smith and Turner gets pulled into the lane Tatum has been seeing the same read all game long and he throws this whip back pass to Al Horford in the corner just beautiful look at how accurate that pass is too just no disruption of Rhythm cleanly into his hands again that’s one of the most underrated elements of passing it’s one thing to make the reads you got to actually hit the dude in the shooting pocket to make it so that it’s easy for him to maintain his rhythm in those situations but again coming back to the coverage here for a second this is just a basic drop coverage concept all that’s happening is n Smith is chasing and Turner is helping to Corral in the lane right and probably a bad decision in the drop from Turner but that is basically the coverage and we’re going to get into some more examples of that when we start digging into Tatum’s game individually but now we’re at 111 109 let’s see this was a a really really impressive recovery step from uh from Jason Tatum we’re going to back up a little bit so basically what happened on this possession as you can see there’s only four and a half seconds left so we’re skipping the first chunk of The Possession but there was some ball pressure up front I’m pretty sure it was Tatum and brown together there was some ball pressure up front and the ball got kicked way into the back court here and Andrew nard had to run back and grab it so when Andrew nard ran back and grab grabbed it he only had a few seconds to basically put his foot on the gas and try to make something happen he beat jayen Brown off the dribble and when he did Tatum is now in in a really tough position where he’s containing Andrew neard here but also having to deal with Pascal sakam here running his Lane in the slot Tatum identifies that uh that nart is giving up the basketball as soon as he does watch this recovery step this is insane watch this recovery step from Tatum Tatum is going to beat SE yakum out here and take that shoulder squarely in the chest and that turn and then obviously we have our another awesome late contest from Derek white but Tatum’s ability to get back in front of sakam from right here like he’s dead to rights he’s screwed his body is Twisted sakam is running full full speed in a straight line and Tatum just makes this incredible recovery step to get back to where his shoulder is squared up with sakam so he can absorb that contact which disrupts siakam’s lift if he doesn’t disrupt siakam’s lift there if he just concedes that drive it’s borderline impossible for Derrik white to have any impact on this shot and then as a result they’re able to get a really good contest and force a miss a really really good individual defense from uh Jason Tatum and then also Dereck white with that late help we get a transition push going out the other way let’s speed it up a little bit and we’re going to get a a random attack here from Drew holiday now this is going to be a basic kind of like peel off switch right so like uh TJ McConnell’s guarding but he notices he’s compromised so TJ peels off and goes to Jaylen Brown and cakam ends up taking Drew and the second time in this late game sequence a smaller Boston perimeter player decides to try to bully a bigger Pacers forward and Drew holiday just sees sakam and boom drop the shoulder cakam gets caught with his hands in the cookie jar so Drew holiday just rips right up through that and again like I don’t think people realize how hard it is when you’ve got your arms out like this and a guys like raking across your arms to actually fight through that and get the ball up to the rim this is a really impressive display of strength from Drew holiday fights through cakam gets the left-handed layup in off the glass now Boston he go goes the line makes the free throw now Boston is up by one we get a a really smart play design here from Rick Carlile that I liked the idea here is just get the ball to uh Andrew demard way in the back court and have him just run full speed you guys will see that here throw the ball back now it’s a a brush screen in the back court here right around half court with nart having a full head of steam this turns into a switch and Jaylen Brown grabs him but on that switch Andre neard has a head of steam and so neard just hits the gas and just bumps Jaylen Brown off and takes a pull-up jumper actually gets a decent look but a good job from Jaylen Brown from at Le to at least absorb that contact and force him into a fallway jumper again this we talked about this a little bit in the debate yesterday uh about goar versus Anthony Davis and like ranking the top players in the league like there’s this fallacy that you’re supposed to if you’re an elite defensive player like just not even allow a guy to shoot and that’s just not how it is when you’re playing against good offensive players you got to play the numbers you got to make them take the lowest percentage shot that he can take but Elite offensive players train their entire lives to be able to get shots off against Elite defensive players and again like in this situation just like goar’s job up to in that final possession is like just make him drive like it’s the one a job you have in a situation like this where a two-pointer can beat you the only job you have is make him take a tough follow away jumper that’s literally what it is right make him take a tough Fall Away jumper like and Jaylen Brown in this situation in a aggressive downhill spot from Andrew nard is able to get his chest squared up with n hard’s shoulder absorb the contact and force him to take a tough Allway jumper and he misses it but I do like the play design from MC car at least just try to get him going downhill all righty so this is the uh the two these are the two unbelievable defensive plays from Drew holiday down the stretch of the game so we have Tatum in a uh late clock situation trying to ice the game gets downhill into the lane and is challenging Turner and cakam at the rim and smokes a left-handed layup decent look uh just really really tough to control your body going that speed downhill especially against a contest right but nine seconds left this is like trouble right because this is a broken play situation your defense is not going to be set it’s Tatum and seak are out of the play so it’s basically like a four on four going the other way this is absolute chaos this is terrifying right if you’re a defense but watch Drew holiday first of all look at the sprinting as he Sprints to get back in front of the play and make again just make nard change direction then this is the leg strength piece so again watch this in I want to watch you I want you guys to watch this in full speed first and then we’ll go back through it so look at the Sprint from Drew holiday get in there cut him off and then to recover and then to cut him off a second time and force the turnover but what I now we’re going to slow it down he’s sprinting to cut him off but again nard shoulders him just like he did with Jaylen Brown watch how quickly Drew holiday can regain his base and then as nard crosses over he beats him cleanly like actually Cuts him off going this way and again when you do that this causes nard to lose his balance and when he loses his balance he can’t protect the basketball can’t protect the basketball Drew holiday gets in there and gets a steal this is an unbelievable defensive play like literally turned what was a chaotic transition situation that could have ended in disaster into a turnover going the opposite way he gets fouled he makes both free throws now we’re going to go to this last possession another really interesting play design set up like a football set with a a bunch of guys running streak routes down the floor here but watch Drew holiday Drew holiday is on Miles Turner Derek white is on um uh was that Doug McDermot yeah and then we have uh Aaron Aaron n Smith being guarded by Jaylen brown right but they kind of cross into each other so nce Smith ends up coming up the right side of the floor but Jaylen Brown gets caught see it’s kind of like a pick play in football right uh McDermot sets like a basically a moving screen effectively on Jaylen Brown and Aon nemith then breaks free up along this right sideline look at Drew holiday Drew holiday has a job here he’s on Miles Turner he’s not even involved in this action right but Drew holiday sees the play developing and goes oh like Aron e Smith’s gonna get open and a two once again a two doesn’t hurt you Miles Turner is now inside the three-point line so this was a great read and then watch Drew Holliday Sprint back into the play and get a contest on Aaron n Smith on that final shot in the corner just really really impressive individual defense from Drew holiday he between that between those two plays in the game winner just just just unbelievable winning plays from a champion in Drew holiday all right let’s take a we’re going to take a look at uh I have seven Clips to kind of go over some stuff with uh Jason Tatum’s performance so one of the things that I thought was big time in this game Tatum made a lot of tough shots in this game this is one of those games like Jason Tatum Settles for a ton of tough shots as we know and this just happened to be one of those games where he was making them and he was cooking everybody he had pull up three in drop coverage to start the game he was hitting his one leg fade away his jab step jumper he was just he had all of the the like the the tough shot making piece of his game going but one of the things that I thought was fascinating is this is a matchup with Aaron n Smith where Aaron neith has for the most part at least contained Jason Tatum in the sense that he forces him to take pull up jumpers and there were two possessions in this game where Tatum just blew right through him like it wasn’t even there this was really impressive again straight ISO watch Tatum make the aggressive move and then again I’ve always said this about Tatum I think his best physical trait is his size and strength that’s his best Advantage watch how he just gets that little bit of an angle on N Smith and then just as strong with the basketball uses that off arm creates space gets up strong at the rim and finishes cleanly plus the foul he’s been doing this lately too where like he’ll get a finish like that and then he’ll slap the bicep again I remember I remember uh when I first did my first major stretch of of weight training it was between my first and second uh season in college I broke my foot and so I got in the weight room all summer long and I put on like 20 pounds of muscle which ended up being really helpful because I had to guard a lot of big players when I was in Joo and like one of the things that I remember vividly is like you gain confidence from strength it’s hard to explain but like when you’re on the court and you know you’re bigger and stronger than the people that are guarding you it becomes like a thing where every time you make a cut and a guy puts his hand on you and tries to hold you you just you’re like get the hell off me you could just rip through him you just feel it’s like a it’s like it just kind of like pumps you full of just confidence and and I think that uh it’s been really cool to see Jason Tatum over the last few years go from being a player that was more of a finesse kind of perimeter uh uh you know pull-up shooter driver into a guy that like has a real power element to his game and like again I think the more that he leans into that in the next five years the better it’s going to be here’s the exact same thing on the other end of the floor in the mid third quarter the swing to Tatum he rips to the right spins off gets into the lane gets another and one again I love it when Tatum is using his aggression his his physical strength to be aggressive towards the rim all right this is the Alor pick and pop stuff so we talked about the one that was off the ball we’re going to show that clip again here in a minute but this is what it looks like as an on ball type of screen situation so Tatum has the ball this is a dribble handoff from Al Horford right so the dribble handoff effectively operates as the ball screen we’re now in a traditional coverage right Tatum is is driving past Aon n Smith in the coverage Miles Turner is in help pitch back to Al Horford at the top of the key wide open three exact same thing here again this is going to come off of a ram screen right so Dereck White’s trying to screen Turner to create some additional separation Turner does a good job of fighting through it we get our screen here on the right side uh n Smith is chasing this is our classic drop coverage right n Smith is chasing over the top Miles Turner is catching him on the other side but Al Horford is wide open again again when it comes to drop coverages the pick and pop big that can actually hit these threes is basically the Kryptonite for that specific coverage and in this situation it just puts Miles Turner in a in a in a predicament because if Al Horford’s rolling then Turner’s in position to kind of effectively guard both but as as soon as Horford starts popping and shooting threes it just puts Miles Turner in a predicament another wide open three for Al Horford knocks it down same thing again is one in the third quarter let’s fast forward a little bit ball screen toppin chasing Turner’s catching behind the back dribble easy to Al Horford so you guys can kind of see it’s it’s just a it’s literally just a flaw in the coverage like soon as you start running drop with a guy with a screener that can shoot you’re going to have a lot of issues with um with that big man breaking open on the weak side it doesn’t really matter how high how high um Miles Turner is like if Miles Turner is in a deep drop and he’s down here it’s the exact same problem but it functions the same whether it’s a high drop or a deep drop so if you’re having trouble with that coverage why don’t you try switching let’s fast forward a little bit here so we have Tatum with topping on him here comes the ball screen Xavier Tillman sets it Miles Turner is now going to switch instead of see how he points over at topin literally right here he just points to top in to stay home right here boom hey he’s been killing us for uh uh Al I guess Xavier Tillman’s not shooting the way that Al Horford is but at the same time Xavier tman is a capable shooter he’s capable of knocking it down but again in the switch what’s your job then right from here it’s like are we going to settle for a three-point shot or we going to try to make something happen by beating him off the dribble using our speed Tatum beats him off the dribble to the left-and side draws TJ mcconell in and help kicks out Derek white on the left wing knocks down the three big time play from Tatum and then here’s that last one that you guys remember from the end of the game again it’s functionally the exact same coverage as a ball screen it’s just functioning off the ball but Chase catch throw back to Horford wide open three that was just an unbelievably accurate and beautiful pass all right these last four these are all Derek white blocks that were just absolutely insane this first one it’s a transition Cross Match situation so the Pacers push the ball up the floor and Derek white has to pick up Turner in in the uh in transition Turner’s walking down to try to get post position Derrick White’s just fighting him making it a little more difficult there’s a swim move from Turner he ends up getting open seak throws in the feeted Turner’s gonna go quickly to a left shoulder fade and Derek white literally just meets him at the top and blocks him that’s insane like a big guy taking a fadeaway jumper over Dereck white he’s got what like five or six inches in height advantage over him and he still blocks the shot unbelievable this is another one of those ones kind of like the late gameplay from Drew holiday where Derrick White’s not even really involved in the play but he just makes a a late decision off of a shooter too so again they’re in a curl here uh Ben Shepard’s curling over the top Drew holiday is in help um uh Sam Howser’s chasing over the top as Ben Shepard gets downhill he fakes Drew holiday out right Derek white here is technically like he’s guarding a shooter in the opposite corner Sam Hower on Miles Turner Derek white just reads the play and decide this is kind of like a it’s a concept that I refer to is like defensive playmaking which is like it’s very read and react based it usually involves some form of gamble right because like if Ben Shepard reads this and throws a kickout pass to uh to mcder in the corner you end up giving up a three right so like usually it’s a little bit of a gamble but some guys just have good instincts for it and uh and like it can lit it can literally change games right um Derek white comes flying in here at the end watch this just out of nowhere just identifies that his teammate was compromised comes flying in at the end and blocks the shot that’s an insane defensive play from Derek white same sort of thing here get a pick and switch TJ McConnell now has Horford on him let’s fast forward a little bit TJ beats uh uh Jaylen Brown off the dribble gets into the lane kick out to Ben Shepard this is this is so absurd look at where when TJ makes this drive look at where Derek white is Derek White’s underneath the basket Derek White’s underneath the basket the pass is in the air the pass has already been thrown at the time the pass leaves the hand boom he’s underneath the basket and Ben Shepard is open in the corner and he blocks this three-point shot that is unbelievable defense and then one more time for good measure this is a very similar to the second one a peel off switch so he’s again is he’s chasing Andrew nard Xavier till man’s recovering but Xavier Tillman at least makes Miles Turner pivot and as soon as he pivots Derrick White comes flying in and gets the block again it’s an instinct piece it’s very similar if you guys remember the same kind of pivot is what Drew holiday got beat on but uh in this case Xavier tman did his job he made it so that Miles Turner couldn’t go straight up with it and that bought Derek white an opportunity to make an extra defensive play and he gets back into the play and blocks it like dere Derek white again like when you actually look at of what he makes he’s probably one of the most discount contracts in the league considering what he provides defensively but that that I thought all four of those plays were amazing again the Drew holiday defensive plays late Jason Tatum another one of his better games of this postseason run nice little comeback win from Boston again this series is over uh there’s just no way Indiana can can compete talent-wise without Tyrese halberton but uh I thought that that was an impressive comeback win with some just an example of just the sheer level of talent and playmaking ability on both ends of the floor that Boston has all right guys that is all I have for today we’re going to be back later tonight I’m not sure if we’re going live or if it’s going to just be on YouTube so keep an eye on my feet I’ll let you guys know but we we’re going to be going after tonight’s game three between Minnesota and Dallas and then we’ll have a little film session on that on Monday morning and then we’ll be back on Monday night uh with Colin coward after the final buzzer of game four Celtics Pacers [Music] he

  1. I'm tired of everyone has excuses why celtics are winning, they are the best team in NBA, there a reason why they number 1 overall team. They just haters and like to cry

  2. Nesmith was too worried about trying to kick Jrue Holiday on his final 3 point attempt to tied the game. He didn’t focus on his shot to actually make it. He was trying to pull that old Reggie Miller (kick the defender) and fall trick.

  3. Excellent, excellent, excellent video! There are wayyyy too many videos of people saying the same things and pushing random narratives and not enough going through the X’s and O’s breaking down film. Clearly a lot of work went into this type of video and I greatly appreciate it. Keep up the good work!

  4. Pacers players are trying – their Coach is trash just giving up games to Boston like a present – he is part of Boston family we understand – 4 game they will give back and than he will give them game 5 in Boston – nice set up

  5. Tatum game is complete he guards 1 through 5 plays the point can get you a bucket from the post can go down low shoot the three also rebounds the basketball has the handles to operate he’s 6’10 silky smooth also doesn’t get in the way of his teammates lets other shine & can play in a system & you said you take Edwards over him lol

  6. It’s easy to come back when your best player is out. The Celtics have benefited greatly from mayor star injuries from opposing teams

  7. The Pacers have been a historic offense, if I’m not mistaken there hasn’t been an offense like this years Pacers PPG wise since the 1984 Denver Nuggets, I believe this years Pacers either tied or broke the record.

  8. The road to championship isn’t just speed, it is about experience rendering and energy management! The C’s just demonstrated that!

  9. Excellent work.

Timpf's most sober analysis of the Boston Celtics. He sees the writing on the wall.

  10. That was a textbook 4th qtr comeback by the Celtics. Basically a clinic on how to get stops, and hit shots to walk down a lead. Perfect execution, Beautiful to watch.

  11. But we had an historically hard and dangerous route to the finals in 22’ !!!🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️ injured !!!!!

So whatever! The haters can say whatever TF they won’t THIS CHIP IS FOR US!!!! the Team, the Town, and TRUE CELTICS FANS & FAM ALL OVER THE WORLD
    🌎 💚🖤🤍 ☘️🫀

  12. The surprising element of Boston's playoff run is how bad and useless their bench has been. They will need Kristaps for the finals

  13. It’s like Boston is playing JV basketball for 44 minutes and then for 4 minutes they remember they’re the most talented team in the league by a mile and a half. 😂😂

It drives me crazy as a Celtics fan over the course of the game it’s just everyone standing still around the perimeter while 1 person (usually Tatum or Brown) is dribbling the ball. That transition play that ended up getting Tatum that wide open 3 pointer you showed as a clip here is a perfect example of what Boston should be doing on offense. Could you imagine how unstoppable they’d be if they played offense like that all game instead of giving 1 guy the ball in iso and seeing what he can make happen? I understand this was the best volume 3 point shooting team in league history by a long shot but good lord do something, move to get open looks

  14. The 2nd White block.. had me jaw dropped, this man blocks shots you don't think a PG should be blocking

  15. Jason, your breakdowns are phenomenal. I could watch them all day long. Your breakdowns make me understand the intricacies of the game so much better. Thank you

  16. Casuals keep undervaluing Tatum's game, he doesn't need to score 30 to be effective. He's become a top defender, much better playmaker, and consistent rebounder. Whenever he has a low scoring night, someone like White or Holiday has a big game. He's making the right reads offensively, and it's turning into points. And what he's done on the defensive side of the ball has really gone unnoticed by anyone with a big mouth. You can have Anthony Edwards, I want Tatum on my team.

  17. Not listening to Collin’s podcast anymore after he arrogantly bashed Trump supporters. His lisp is annoying anyway, and he doesn’t have the basketball knowledge that you display on your show.
