The Denver Nuggets PERFECT Offseason! What Does It Look Like? | NBA Ideal Offseason
what’s going on y’all welcome back to Ideal off season you guys know the intro by now this is the series where I get to put the GM cap on for a little bit and help an NBA team navigate their off season we try to be as realistic as possible in this off season so that we’re not just like throwing a bunch of fluff out there like I’m not just going to be like yeah the Spurs are going to get LeBron James and they’re going all the way with wemy and everything no we’re going to take the Spurs and we’re going to be like this is how they can get a little bit better next year so they can try to make some improvements as they build this young team if it’s like the Sixers we’re obviously trying to win a championship today we’ve got the Denver Nuggets it’s no difference we’re trying to get these boys back to a championship just a quick reminder to make sure you guys like subscribe and comment I’ve responded to every single comment on my YouTube page up to this point and I’m probably going to keep on doing it for as long as I can but without any further Ado let’s get into the video and just like that we’re back at the ideal offseason spreadsheet those of you that have been watching all these videos and everything I I know you guys know where I’m going with this already this is a spreadsheet that I built to kind of help me demonstrate this series and everything and just kind of keep track of everything if you guys want access to the spreadsheet leave me a comment in the comments below uh saying you want the spreadsheet I’m going to drop you a link to my Discord you can hop in the Discord and DM me I’ll give you a link to the spread sheeet there yes this is all a marketing scheme to get you on my Discord I try to be honest with that that’s how it works you get something I get something anyway let’s talk about the Denver Nuggets and what they need so that they can go be successful in life because they just got bounced yesterday in the second round lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves coming off a championship the season before how do we get this team back because we knew this team wasn’t going to be as good as they were last year they lost some really key bench players and guys like Jeff Green and Bruce Brown and that’s something that we really saw right this year they just there was too many games where the bench just like literally could not score they had no bench help the starting five really really really good Jamal Murray love it like obviously had kind of an up and down playoffs but like I’m not getting rid of Jamal Murray are you crazy we’re trading joic nope never mind not doing that either Michael never swing the rock porter here to stay Aaron Gordon’s great kyp has a player option we’re going to talk about it but after that man it was it was rough for these boys like guys like Christian Brown like went like a whole series without hitting a three pton Watson just couldn’t even be trusted to really be out there at certain points of the series like Reggie Jackson was kind of like oh he’s playing good defense right now but he still never really became much of a score I think there was like one game where he kind of did so it’s like okay how do we take this team and how do we turn it into something where there’s a little bit more depth going into next season right um let’s let’s take a look at the situation that we got going on here cap space uhoh uhoh is the best way to put it right um we don’t have a lot of money to spend we’re not going to be able to go out and get some big free agent or anything like that it’s just not going to be possible there’s no way I can clear enough cap space to make that happen because it’s all in the first five right and that’s not going to change that’s just going to be how it is that’s why the Nuggets you saw last year they made a trade to get themselves into like the back end of the first round last year picks like that are going to be so valuable for this team let me explain why so in the draft right you can go get yourself a young player that can help you fill out your roster for very cheap that you’re going to have on your roster for four possibly more years because you then get the right to extend them and everything through restricted free agency and you don’t have to worry about finding those guys in free agency so picks like that are going to be important we have the 28th pick in the draft this year I intend on using it because I think that that value of having that pick is going to be crucial like it’s a cheap way to fill out the back back end of our roster we don’t want to go out and sign a bunch of um other guys that are just going to cost us a lot more money it’s just not going to be a thing we have the 57th pick that I’ve got an idea of what to do with because let me let me show you this as well we only have two roster spots left um and there’s options and everything that we’ll go through but I don’t really feel like we need another second round pick because there’s actually a lot of Youth on this team already um but I’ve got an idea for how we can maybe package the 57th pick along with maybe some another pick and we can try to move some guys to some other places just so we can kind of clear up some roster spots and try to find a Min a minimum contract that’ll help us out a little bit more speaking of contracts so let’s talk about them uh obviously uh the Murray thing is going to be a thing um I talked about this in uh the jazz video where I was like look I’m not going to touch the extensions and everything it’s going to get figured out Jamal Murray’s not going anywhere right like there’s just kind of a question of does he get an extension like now does he get an extension at the end of the season I actually don’t know like when he becomes eligible for all that and when that can be signed but let’s just trust that Jamal Murray is going to get his extension that’s going to be a thing it’s not going to affect like how we go about this team anyway we’re just going to be drafting rookies and like um signing minimum contract players it doesn’t matter at the end of the day this team’s going to be expensive it is what it is that’s the price of competing don’t worry about that too much Michael Porter Jr is still here to stay Aaron Gordon’s here to stay player option for kcp we’re going to assume that kcp is going to opt out but don’t worry I’m not not going to keep him off the roster for long I’m honestly going to put him right back here uh kcp is about 30 years old now I believe is he 30 years old 31 years old wow okay so here’s kind of what I’m thinking right kcp is just going to want long-term money right so what I’d be willing to do for kcp is be like okay like you were going to get 15 million this year totally understand right like I’m willing to give you um 16 17 million for like the next three seasons you just keep doing what doing man like we’ll give you the long-term contract extension he keeps playing good defense maybe we find a way to move him down the line or something if he really starts to fall off it doesn’t seem like he’s going to like he still like played really solid basketball this year got you like 10 points shot 40% from three was a really good Defender won a championship with them before so I’m fine with giving him let’s say 17 million or we could also use the logic that it’s like okay he’s going to take a bit of a pay cut this year because he wants to help the team win and everything it really shouldn’t make that big of a difference and I guess that’s something to think about as well as to what we can sign and what we can’t sign but maybe what we say is like yeah you’re opting out of this year you technically had a statistically worse season than you did the year before like you still had a good season but what if what if we say more so it’s like 14 million right like 14 Milli 1 2 3 1 2 3 I think I did that right 14 million but we give it to you for three seasons right so you’ve got three more years on your NBA contract you know you’re getting paid for that much longer right um technically we’re not into the second apron quite yet so that’s good we’re going to be in the second apron very soon but at least this way he gets his uh he gets his financial security for the next couple years and we go from there so that’s that’s kcp right uh let’s talk about um oh I have these messed up now there we go much better uh Reggie Jackson’s got a player option uh no way anybody’s giving him any more than that so he’s just going to take it Reggie Jackson’s back on the team I’ll explore what it would take to move him and what else we could get I don’t think that there’s going to be much but we’ll take a look um Christian Christian Brown Excuse me has a uh a team option we’re definitely accepting that uh Julian strawther uh interesting player for us this year he was a rookie this season right yeah he was a rookie was he who they used the like end of the first round pick on he was okay that’s exactly what I thought okay um actually had a couple moments for the team this year in like December he kind of went on a run where he was getting some d double digit points and everything so obviously like it’s going to be nice to have him back hopefully he develops that’s going to be a big thing for this team right is the development of the young Talent these next couple guys that we’re going to talk about it’s all how much can they grow right cuz they they’re on the team they’ve been on the team for just a couple years uh some of them just won two years so are they going to actually grow into some talent for us uh pton Watson uh had some nice moments at points this year if anything he size and athleticism on the wing that can play some solid defense that’s going to be something we need because a lot of scoring is going to come from the starting lineup anyway that’s awesome uh K car a guy that um could be a nice player for us down the line again another younger guy been in the league for about four seasons now has shown the ability to be a stretch big at times to be a smart passer I’m going to pick up his option as well just because he’s been on the team for this long maybe he can start to contribute next year uh two other younger guys in the team Jaylen picket uh Hunter Tyson just haven’t seen much of them yet they haven’t looked bad they haven’t looked good they’re on the team it is what it is right they just got long-term extensions for very little money that’s fine we need those guys on the team to hopefully develop learn from these guys and again just be cheap guys on our team and now this is where it gets interesting Zeke Naji Zeke Naji Zeke Naji is someone that we thought was going to develop into a little bit more of a talent than what he did coming off the 2022 2023 season we figured it’s fine he’ll be the nice backup center for us had a pretty abysmal season all said and done so what we’re going to try to do is we’re going to try to figure out a way to move zek Naji I’m not sure how we’re going to do it but but I’m going to try to figure out a way to move off him cuz that $8 million I’d sure like it to be something else so I I don’t know what exactly the logic I’ll have to use to make that move is maybe there’s a team out there where I don’t know if we have any like trade exceptions or anything that we can fit into where we can take on maybe even a little more money or something and they can like save a little bit of money I don’t know we’re going to have to explore it but this is what I want to do first the first thing I want to do is move off of like one of these younger guys probably a hunter Tyson is what I’m thinking I just don’t think that we need the roster spot usage there I like um the idea of keeping him cheap and Young on the team that’s really cool I think we can package him with the 57th pick and maybe another second round pick or something and we can just take on a future second round pick or something so maybe more of a salary dump thing like that because there’s going to be another team that would rather just have him on the bench for the same reason that we would want him um and that’s to just be cheap on the bench a guy to develop right so my first thought is honestly like the Sixers so I want to start to explore that all right so we’re back on fanso you guys have all seen fanso at this point it’s a really cool resource for us to try to make this series a little more realistic right um all right so what team am I even at this point I’m the Denver Nuggets I’ve done too many of these at this point now I want to explore a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers this trade is going to be pretty easy to make happen I just want to see what picks they have going forward can I just like this is what I’m thinking okay where where are our guys at I view us moving Hunter Tyson over to the Sixers again same reason that we would have them right and we would package along this pick here for them taking on our salary you can have our second round pick of this year move that there just give us your future second round pick give us this 2028 um what what which pick did I just take on okay it is the Sixers pick I got really confused there for a second on the screen but I think this helps move our assets back a little bit gives us some flexibility to make some trades later down the line as we’re continuing to try to be competitive we don’t need this second round pick now I’m sure some of you like Hunter Tyson or whatever and you see some potential in him that’s probably true but I’d rather have the flexibility of having an extra roster spot open right now I think we’ve got enough young guys like this on the team that we’re trying to develop and we’re going to be drafting another guy in the first round this year anyway so I’m cool with just trying to execute this trade here and just being happy with it so that pick is no more we turn all of these up and now we’ve got I’m going to move these down oops that’s not what I wanted to do delete that this is now a 76ers 28 second round pick hunter Tyson is now off the team we have now opened up a roster spot that we can use in free agency to go find a minimum contract or something like that that’s the first trade I wanted to make all right I feel pretty happy about that I know it’s simple I know it’s small but these are the little things you have to make when you’re this close to like a title Contender right those little moves can make a big difference that’s the difference and not or not between us getting like this minimum contract guy or this minimum contract guy right those guys could be really valuable to us going forward but now I want to go into the draft I want to see who we’re going to be able to get with this pick maybe in this year’s draft what would be awesome is if we could find a rookie Center like there’s a lot of decent centers in this draft who knows where they go I’m going to guess that by the 28th pick a lot of the ones all that interested in are probably gone but we can find somebody at the very least to kind of develop on this team uh like what we like what we were thinking about doing with like a pton Watson or a Julian stur right so let’s go into the draft and let’s figure out who we’re picking up all righty so we’re back on the fans SPO mock draft right uh this is a cool tool that we use it uses Ai and some of the most recent like um projections of players to kind of simulate a draft so it can go a bunch of different ways each time and you can change the settings and everything I think this has a sense of realism to the series instead of me just being like oh you know what I think so and so is going to be available with the 20th pick so I’m going to take him um but no in this I’m going to try to use this logic here to just be like okay let’s let AI kind of decide who’s going to be available to us like there’s going to be guys that fall guys that jump right and that way it’s it’s just a little bit more realistic way to look at things because the draft is unpredictable at the end of the day but who’s going to be available to us is the question I would have loved some Tyler Smith I don’t I think Tyler Smith’s going to end up going in the lottery that’s that’s that’s my opinion but all right our pick is coming up who is on the table all righty we’ve got a bunch of interesting guys here Ryan Dunn Johnny Fury uh Tristan D Silva that could be a really interesting guy for us to go get like uh I’m not going to lie looking at a more mature player that can help us win right away kind of intrigues me I’m not really too interested in the Freshman we kind of already just we’ve just picked a freshman out of Kansas not too long ago and he was solid for us he wasn’t great this year um coming off the bench but you know uh teren Shannon I think is a really nice player in all honesty I think I would put teren Shannon top 10 on my draft board I really would I don’t see Denver taking him we don’t know what’s going on with his situation outside of here and we’ve got like uh if we’re looking at the depth that we do have the wing isn’t necessarily one that I feel the need to address right now but let’s talk about Tristan D Silva so Tristan da Silva senior one of the older guys coming into this draft right you got 69 200 lb it’s not a great size at the end of the day so that’s a bit concerning what he got out of him Colorado this year was 16 points he shot like 40% from three and that’s what’s kind of interesting he wasn’t a very good rebounder because he was pretty light he’s a solid passer though and a pretty smart player because you know he played he played a couple years in college right like he’s he’s not a dumb guy at this point so there’s an idea there that you’re like okay this this gives us a stretch option to put next to jic right that’s always a cool thing at the end of the day he’s going to be decently athletic right it’s just he doesn’t help us like with the rebounding and the shot blocking that we seem to lack which that’s just like another note why did the Tim rules not attack the paint more when joic isn’t going to block a shot I feel like teams are scared of him because he’s tall but he doesn’t like block shots I don’t know so interesting option for us let’s talk about Ryan Dunn a little bit a little bit younger uh a 68 28 pound guy so similar size to what we’re looking at with d Silva um half the points right eight points a game what you’d get out of him is an elite elite Defender a really good athlete a guy that’s really smart can cut off ball right like that’s what I’ve seen out of Ryan dun in his time at Virginia that makes a lot of sense those are the kind of the things that Virginia players get instilled into them in that system what you don’t get is a shooter and I feel like if we’re doing that we’re basically taking another pton Watson and that just feels like kind of a redundancy and that’s why I’m not too interested now let’s talk about Johnny Fury right um a guy that didn’t get a ton of minutes at Kansas to start the season but then he came in and started shooting the out of the basketball and so that really helped him definitely one of the better Shooters coming out of a class where there’s not a ton of Shooters right high energy High motor guy that sounds like a nice thing to have at 69ine 200 pounds right that’s something where I’m like okay let’s say I throw him in at the four right what do we do with that then we’ve got a stretch that’s pretty athletic he gets a lot of offensive rebounds because he’s pretty active he’s not the heavi right now but we can put some weight on him and he’s young so cuz we we know with dilva the size that we kind of have at this point right Fury could hopefully put a little bit of weight on get a Little Bit Stronger what what else can we do with that right um he doesn’t put the ball on the floor ever but you know what that’s fine Murray and yic are going to have the ball most of the time so you know the more you think about it right Fury makes a little more sense I kind of started off with the like oh we’re not going to take another like freshman or whatever it’d be nice to have an older guy I I try to tell an interesting story at the end of the day on YouTube so just get cut me cut me some slack I’m going to be taking Johnny Fury with this pick Johnny Fury would be making about this much that’s why we wanted the 28th pick in this one y’all we didn’t want to trade that pick it’s an easy way for us to fill in the back half of the roster we get him for four years and let’s just assume that we’re moving Canard down and we’re moving Johnny Fury there as kind of the backup for hopefully a nice stretch big that we haven’t quite had uh up to this point and the Denver Nuggets still have like some picks to work with going forward because we got this Sixers pick we’ve got some second round picks to work with over the coming uh years which is important to us right we still have our first round picks in 2026 and 2028 so we can’t really trade those but if we need to in those drafts we can I like that I’m happy with where this is at so far now what do we do with Zeke Naji this is not an easy contract to trade and I’m not even positive that it’s going to be possible right because $8 million younger guy which is nice right so like that’s something you could sell someone on he’s only 23 he’s got good size at 69 240 at points he’s looked like he could be a stretch big which is cool but for two seasons now he hasn’t been able to do that an $8 million for a guy that hasn’t been very good teams are terrified of the first and second apron now because they don’t want to pay all that money um to people is not going to be easy so what can we do with that I’m I’m truly thinking out loud with this like what what can you reasonably do with that because like we can we can throw trades together all the time right and be like oh well yeah we’ll just trade this guy for this guy this guy’s better but like there has to be a reason that a team would take him on right is there a bad contract or something out there where maybe they can’t help uh that player can help us right now but the other team would just rather not deal with the money right now and they’d rather just pay less to Zeke Naji right now we got to we got to explore that a little bit so I’m looking at player contracts now over the next uh couple seasons and where Zeke naji’s got to be uh somewhere around here there’s Zeke Naji right okay are there any bad contracts around here that we want to look at to where um we can just take somebody off somebody’s hands Jared Vanderbilt interesting interesting interesting Jared Vanderbilt’s gotten even long he’s got the same length of contract as Zeke Naji this would give the Lakers more cap flexibility and Jared Vanderbilt didn’t get to play much for them anyway that’s really interesting I want to explore what that looks like and where would J Jared Vanderbilt fit with us right um obviously the floor spacing could be a problem and everything and we kind of already got some guys filling in at the wing here or at kind of like the four spot which is where he traditionally plays but he’s at least serviceable as compared to Zeke Naji right like he’s going to come in he’s going to get rebounds and play defense maybe he plays a small ball five for us at points right let me let me go back to this like take a look at Jared Vanderbilt right you get 68 214 you get some size on the team right uh he’s pretty much just out there to play defense get rebounds right that’s his whole thing the reason Lakers can’t play him is because he’s so abysmal from three what if he’s just kind of a de facto like backup center for us and again what I don’t I don’t feel like I need to explain this because Jared Vanderbilt could at least like contribute to this team whereas Zeke Naji currently can’t right Lakers need to save a little bit of money I think there’s a little bit of logic here that I want to explore all right so I’m adding a third team to what we were previously doing before this is how we can keep track of money and make it as realistic as possible right so here’s the Lakers right here’s Jared Vanderbilt Jared Vanderbilt would be going to the Nuggets okay if we just move Zeke Naji over to the Lakers what happens right now if we try this trade what happens it’s a success that’s cool okay so what what really happens here they gain about $2 million in uh cap space back interesting where what’s kind of their cap space situation looking like right now so the Lakers are slotted to be at 178 which is in the first apron I believe we’re just for comparison sake we’re at like the 190 Mark so we’d be saving them a little bit of money which would help them they don’t really care about Fin financials quite as much but if you just take a look at the contracts right that’s that’s where it gets a little bit more interesting Zeke nai’s got a contract that’s decreasing over time whereas with Jared Vanderbilt it’s actually going up so I think that there’s some logic here to be like okay well we might not be saving a ton of money right now but down the line we’re saving quite a bit of money as we’re trying to contend or something right and here’s the thing Zeke naji’s a little bit younger LeBron is he going to be on the team at this point most likely not maybe you’ve got a younger player that turns into something right and the Lakers are always trying to find these backup centers that they can just slide into things Zeke Naji probably a more interesting Prospect to them but you know we’re still getting the better player most likely at the end of the day so let’s just assume where I got so many tabs open at this point let’s just assume right because we’ve got some picks that we can work with now what if we reroute this 2028 second round pick that we were going to get in this trade that’s now going to the Lakers right you get that pick from Philadelphia there you go you’ve now gotten some compensation for that in the form of a second round pick because they just don’t have a ton of picks to work with right now like let’s just let’s just take a look at the picks that they have does they don’t have a plethora of picks by any means so we throw something like this in I think it makes it worth it for all the teams involved we’re going to take on Jared Vanderbilt in this all righty be prepared to uh be scared of the amount of money that we’re paying now honestly it’s not that much more like this is basically where we started off this video so that’s just fine and I’m going to I’m just for the time being this is where Jared Vanderbilt’s going to slide in uh just going to be a guy that can come in and actually play some backup center minutes for us right a guy with some size that can come in be a nice rebounder be a good Defender just be serviceable right like there’s just not many other moves I think I could make with like Azek Naji out here I’m going to I’m going to take like one more kind of pass through but I’m just like looking at these guys like Terence man the Clippers are going to want to keep him I’m looking for like long contracts that kind of would scare people like Brandon Clark like no they’d probably just rather have Brandon Clark at the end of the day cuz he’s been good for them a Kong’s like an actual solid player Isaiah Stewart maybe but that’s that’s a lot more money that we’re taking on then and I don’t even think that that’s money is going to make any sense I don’t think we’re actually going to be able to execute that so I think this might be the best move that we could make but all right what do we do with the last two roster spots now right got two roster spots left and I’m actually really happy about that cuz that means we can get two impact players right we can go find two veterans that are trying to win a championship we’re going to have first picks at like the vets that are just trying to get their last contract in that can go help this team wins some basketball games so what I want to do is first I’m going to close fans SPO and stuff at this point let’s go over to free agency here here’s the guys that are on the market there’s DeAndre Jordan out there we’re probably going to want a center um not sure that it’s going to be DeAndre Jordan we’d like to have someone that could be impactful right and there’s probably someone out there that we can go get Justin holiday Justin holiday had some moments for us really really good shooter he’s going to be 36 years old next year probably not all that interested what I would like to do is probably find another point guard to add to this roster because Reggie Jackson was very inconsistent I feel pretty good at the forwards now that we have Fury Kar is going to be back like we’ve got these young guys that we’ve been developing so one of them is going to figure it out I’d like another Center let’s go find another older Center a vet on the team and an older veteran point guard that we can bring on the team let’s take a look at point guards first and this was the first name that came to mind was Kyle Lowry I think that’s really really interesting the other name that I think is really really interesting is Russell Westbrook actually is it worth just having a guy that can come in and just kind of like um just be really energetic and bring a ton of energy maybe right like maybe when teams come to play in Mile High and all of a sudden like they’re tired and everything Westbrook never gets tired it’s certainly something to explore I’m I’m going to think about it all right we’re going to we’re going to go do a center first but I’m going to think about it taking a look at the center position like we’re probably not going to be able to get like a valent chunis he’s going to get a better contract somewhere else like we’re not getting the CLA and Vagner hartenstein like Mason plumbley has been a guy on this team before is he willing to come back again for a minimum contract I can almost promise you he would be able to um he’s because he’s not getting anything more than a minimum contract this year and so you know what let’s bring Mason plumbley back he’s familiar with the team he’s been good for the the team before I want plumbley back in the roster so we got Mason plumbley here phenomenal here’s his big old um contract that he gets for a minimum one season we slide Mason plumbley in here he could very well uh play over Vanderbilt so like we’ll do that for now but the point is Vanderbilt can play I don’t feel the need to keep justifying myself I just letting you guys know cuz I know somebody’s going to comment about it like I’d rather just have Zeke Naji no you wouldn’t no you wouldn’t just stop it don’t act like you would let’s go back to point guards right let’s take a look at the bench and see what we’re working with cuz what holes do we need to fill on the bench we’ve hopefully got a shooter in brown pton Watson not good shooter Fury hopefully good shooter can car hopefully solid shooter plumbley and Vanderbilt are not spacing the floor you want more floor spaces around joic than not so for that reason I got to go back to point cards I’m probably going to pass on Westbrook I think Kyle lower is’s more of the answer he’s been on championship teams before he’s going to play hard defense he doesn’t have to play a ton of minutes at all just come in be a decent shooter for us things like that let’s go get Kyle Lowry we had Kyle Lowry here he gets the same amount of money for the same years and he probably slides right into the backup roll now uh I’m not going to lie I thought about like CP3 or something like that but I I just think Lowry is going to be a better option because he’s going to be able to provide a little bit of Defense but anyway here’s your 2024 2025 Denver Nuggets team looking pretty similar because the team works this team could have won a championship this year is the thing it just it wasn’t quite all the way there it wasn’t quite all the way there so what did we do right um well first things first I have to take away this pick excuse me that’s my mistake okay now we’re good what did we do uh we added to the bench right this was all about adding to the bench we used the 28th pick brought in Johnny Fury hopefully a guy that can just be energy for us uh be at the rim and most importantly just be a shooter you don’t ever have to dribble just be ready to catch shoot when yic gets you the ball cool thing that he hasn’t really had in a while in a in a stretch big awesome we turn zek Naji into Jared Vanderbilt hopefully a guy that can at least do something for us he can at least come in and get some rebounds and play good defense for not that much more money right now we also brought in Mason Plumley in case we want to have like older not as uh talented joic basically get some rebounds be a solid passer love Mason Plumley we’re letting the young guys continue to develop Christian Brown Jaylen picket Payton Watson Julian stur one of these guys is going to figure it out pton or Christian Brown’s probably going to be in the rotation regardless he’s a nice player already one of these guys hopefully develops into something else and then Kyle Lowry kind of helping us with the backup point guard position either him or Reggie Jackson are going to have to be solid um it’s just nice to have some more vets on the team this is an expensive team but you know what they’re going for a championship and that what it that’s what it is um I hope you guys like this I think this makes a ton of sense there’s not a ton of moves you can always make with these teams that are so close to the top but I think all these little moves are enough to get them by and when they were just in a game seven to go back to the Western Conference finals and like this team could very well have played like the Dallas Mavericks well like I I think the Timberwolves and the Nuggets were the best two in the conference and they just played each other early but that’s what it is for now I appreciate you guys watching as always I love this series I love the support that this series gets thank you guys so much but yeah make sure you guys like subscribe comment I promise I’ll respond to your comments and we’ll talk to you guys later bye [Music]

What do you wanna see Denver do this offseason?
When we getting hornets AVC?
I would have drafted Yves Missi with that first round pick if I was Denver, he could be a good backup center for them, also I don’t see Denver making trades with the arch rival Lakers lol
Want the spreadsheet😁
Pistons next ?
Can’t you just wave Tyson ?
KCP will be offered at least $20m+ for the next 3 by another team. I doubt he stays.
Hawks please
MPJ learns how to play basketball would be cool. He has no skill beyond elite 3p shooting. He can't drive, can't defend and has no vision. AG needs to learn how to shoot! When he hit those 3s, the Nuggets looked invincible. Braun and Watson need to grow and you need a really good backup C and possibly another wing for a proper rotation. Maybe Brown gets bought out and you can get him again…
Great vid bro
YOU CALL THE MEN , boys.
Lowry was always on my radar. Hope it can happen.
The Nuggets need to replace the backup PG they lost when Bruce Brown left. They really needed his scoring bonus as Jamal Murray was hurt much of the year and Reggie Jackson is simply not playable in the playoffs (he didn't score at all in the last 3 games of the Wolves series). To get a good backup point guard who can give them 15ppg in the playoffs and be the 6th man they need, along with a viable backup for Aaron Gordon, and Nicola Jokic so their starters aren't gassed in the 2nd round of the playoffs (as Malone said they were) they may have to move off MPJ's $35m contract and get some viable role players they way Naz Reed and Walker are for the Wolves. They could decide to just wait the development of Peyton Watson and Christian Braun along with Pickett and Hunter Tyson (whom they like a lot and probably won't trade). I wouldn't sit pat, but they might do so.
Man mpj not worth that max
MPJ for two playable guys
appreciate the realism
I didn't quite understand, does the MPJ have to "leave" Denver, I'm interested in that? Gordon? I know that Jokić and Marey are staying 100%, in fact, I'm interested in whether because of those agencies and the rules regarding contracts, it's a little different here, whether MPJ has to leave Denver, whether Denver can keep the first five, or whether they let KSP , and instead of him, bring back Braun, Bruce Braun who "wanders" from team to team and won't be expensive (I hope), but that's another story, the essence of the question is whether the Nuggets can preserve the "skeleton" of the team, can it be without KSP, here to find, in addition to the others you mentioned – Jokić, Marey, Gordon and MPJ, is "those four in danger"?
Pozdrav iz Smedera, Srbija.
Your Fired🔥 as Nuggets GM… KCP is likely gone when free agency starts✌🏻 Denver literally Traded away Jared Vanderbilt when he could break into the rotation because he couldn’t play backup C at all🤨 and has injury concerns now🙄 Nuggets turned the table back with Zeke Nnaji and has mostly played Center plus Hunter Tyson isn’t getting traded away just too draft Johnny Furphy🥱 (Waste of a draft pick ) when a C/PF prospect or a better guard is available👎
Unpopular opinion… this years draft the second round will be EXTREMELY valuable
We need scoring off the bench, a backup 5, and a backup point. KCP is gone unfortunately I would replace him with Braun and use the money elsewhere.
Really enjoyed watching this, i don't think the lakers would move Vanderbilt but i think your other moves could be possible…
What would your opinion be on the nuggets bringing in Dwight Howard as a vet minimum(legal troubles notwithstanding)?
Like to get some information regarding the reference material you use. Thanks 🙏🏼
Jokic, Murray, Gordon, MPJ, Watson, Braun, Cancar and Jordan will surely stay
Hopefully KCP will stay too. Love them together. Need Bruce Brown back and we must draft DJ Burns. Crazy Nuggets family. Hungry to win another ring…
Like all our Nuggets, honestly. NBA politics. Jokic decided not to lose to Luka… So better refresh a month and beat the USA for Olympic gold.!!! That Serbian team with Joker going through all walls … World basketball don't bet on Serbia is going to grant you another gold medal. This is Serbia with Jokic…coming at you. Nightmare… for Dreamer team.
Any way we can make an MPJ for Mikal Bridges trade happen?
Respectfully, as a Nuggets fan, I heavily disagree with a lot of the moves that you make in this video. The Nuggets need have a surplus of wings on the bench that are slanted to the defensive side of the ball. They need a backup pg and center. trading for Jared Vanderbilt (who was drafted by the nuggets and traded in his second year, all with Michael Malone coaching the team.) Trading for a player who is injury prone, and does exactly what Peyton Watson already does at a younger age, would be really dumb IMO. You also underrated what KCPs market will be. The Nuggets will have to pay over 20m a year for 3+ years to keep them (which they should.) I don't think drafting Furphy makes sense at all either. They need someone who can handle the ball off the bench so that Murray can be freed up off the ball in that unit like he was last year with Bruce Brown. I'm not gonna pretend to know anything about the players in the draft, but there are clear positions they need and do not need.
They NEED to address backup pg and backup center. one of these should be addressed with the 28th pick, the other could be had in a trade. As long as they make a trade before they extend KCP, they can aggregate salaries in a trade, as KCPs new contract will push them into the second apron which means you can't aggregate salaries. There are multiple players I think they could target to make an immediate impact that have the salary number around 14 million, which is the combined salary of Reggie Jackson and Zeke Nnaji. My person dream scenario there would be Tyus Jones, but I don't know if the wizards would want to do that. Whichever position they address at 28, also needs a vet minimum signing as a contingency plan. You gave them Plumlee, I think thats a perfectly fine choice. I would personally want Gaga Bitadze assuming Orlando lets him walk given their depth at C with Mo Wagner and WCJ. I understand its hard to know this much about every team so I don't fault you, but I would personally hate this for the Nuggets. going into the season with Reggie Jackson as the backup point guard again would be a disaster.
The Lakers would never give up Vanderbilt so everything kinda falls apart there. He also was already on the nuggets. And the lakers see him as some defensive piece that helps them vs the nuggets who they really don’t like at the moment
One immediate thing that pops to mind, given that Nuggets are a 2nd apron team…..they are not allowed to make any trade in which they aggregate salaries or acquire back more than 110% of the salary they traded (previously 125% was possible….likely what your trade machine is showing). So for that reason, Vanderbilt trade is not possible.
