With all the talent on the roster, who else thinks Bari’s improvements this season were slept on and who also thinks he will come out swinging big next season?

When Bari bulks up and improves his handle a little, we all know how much of a problem he’s going to be.

Last year when smaller guys got switched onto him, he either passed it out or couldn’t take advantage. If he improves that part of his game it’ll open up the door for easy passes to Cam or Reed in the perimeter.

His defense is so tough man, it’s a shame it started regressing towards the end (probably just fatigue, he’s young so he’ll build the endurance for the postseason later on). Him, Amen, and Tari being as young as they are and so good on that end makes me excited for how they’ll all turn out in the next season or two.

I want him to come out aggressive next year, attacking the rim with desire instead of laying it up, using his weight/height more on both ends. Maybe he’ll bulk up this summer, it’ll be huge if he does.

  4. I think a couple of things are true with him.

I’ve read and heard from a few different places that his defense is overrated. Not just their opinion but people in the league. But he is also a plus defender.

His shot has improved as has his offensive ability.
Out of the draft he was a billed as a much stronger offensive player than what we have currently.

Of the 9 top 3 picks since the Rockets have been picking, he’s probably the 7th or 8th best player at the moment. Bari, Green, Scoot as 7, 8, 9. But he’s also clearly a very solid player with a very high floor and EASILY is an important player of a winning team.

His improvement was huge from an efficiency stand point, but still not nearly as impactful as one would like. Still need to bulk up, which is not “just needs to bulk up” level of ease like some think. Still needs to be more aggressive, again not easy, still needs to improve ball control, not easy.

I think he’ll be better, but not sure how much better. But if “all” we have is an improved version of Bari, I’m still happy, despite being somewhat disappointed.

I think he needs to slow down on the tattoos i mean there’s only so much real estate

  6. He has played as a role player, nothing close to what is expected for a #3 pick.

Not really impressed with his performance so far, although his potential is obvious.

Hopefully his 3rd season will be different and we’ll see more progress from him.

  7. With r/Sengun and r/JalenGreen headlining, recent rookie campaigns of Amen and Cam pleasantly panning out, the high anticipated third pick, and ofc the highly desired return of Tari from the same draft, I wonder how much Bari has inherently and naturally been shadowed over when we think about the most critical pieces going forward. For the short-term, we can run it back for another season or so but then we start having to make decisions as soon as even this off/season with the Core 6 youth+3rd pick. Bari and Amen are two/way forces with Tari showing surprising chops getting buckets since being drafted.
