Detroit Pistons News: Trajan Langdon Hired + 5th Pick Options

[Music] the fifth pick will be made by the Detroit Pistons let me I’m the biggest I hate the way the way I hate the way dress I hate way Sak the Detroit Pistons have hired TR and legden as their new president of basketball operations so now our off season officially begins uh we’ll know in the next few weeks if we’ll move on from Troy Weaver and Monty Williams as of right now we’re going to talk about the Domino dropping at the end of next month which is the NBA draft that is coming soon so how does langon affect what the Pistons do on draft night well he has ties to two people in places his former agent is arm telum who’s the vice chairman of the Pistons uh we know that madis buellis is represented by Aron son Michael tellum so Mattis is in the lead for that fifth pick according to Jonathan gavone uh he’s ESPN’s lead draft analyst uh he said buzas actually didn’t have a pro day so uh what I’m thinking is his Camp is confident that he’s going to be taken in the top 10 now on the flip side Langan also went to Duke so that means the Blue Devil star Kyle filipowski now has a path to that fifth pick as I said in previous videos I think he he fits perfectly with what the Pistons have in place uh his ability to space the floor along with his handles and passing is why I still have him at the top of this draft as for everyone else there isn’t much noise uh but I do want to give updates on some of these players as of right now Zachary rishe is playing great in the Euro League playoffs he’s probably going to go top three as a result of this uh he’s playing really well he’s knocking down shots uh he’s rebounding which was a criticism I had of him uh he’s now starting to rebound the basketball so I think he’s definitely getting taken top three uh d hasn’t been mentioned at all in reports to the Pistons uh even though I like his game he’s a good ISO scorer he can knock down shots I hope that changes here soon and we hear something about connect being considered Tristian Da Silva is a name we should all keep an eye on uh I along with dton connect I’ll have a video on him as well uh he’s the only legitimate 3nd D player in this draft a lot of these guys in this draft they either give you three-point shooting or they give you defense is one or the other uh Tristan the Sila is the only one that gives you both in terms of the wing position so I think I think the Pistons should really take a look at him uh at five as well moving on to Ron Holland and Tyler Smith both of them looked awful in workouts okay they they look terrible so I highly doubt they get picked in the top five their draft stock is falling off a cliff at this point re sheer is looking looking like a lock in the top four either to the Rockets or Spurs he’s one of the best three-point Shooters in this draft and he’s seen we seen at the comine how athletic he is so uh if he is there at five I feel like the Pistons would have to think about drafting him but I still feel like the Spurs and Rockets are going to take him Stefan Castle is reportedly refusing to work out with any team that has a starting point guard so we already got Cade Cunningham so I I feel like Castle is probably going to reject um you know our workout request which is kind of crazy like step Stefan Castle he’s all right I feel like he could if he reaches his full potential he could be like the new Jimmy Butler um but you know him wanting to be point guard that bad um it’s clear as day he wants to be drafted by the San Antonio Spurs and that’s the same thing with Rob Dillingham he also only wants to get drafted by the Spurs uh both both are trying to be the new point guard next to wimam Yama speaking of point guards Nia toic is injured his knee for the second time um he he was overseas in the playoffs just like zachar both of these injuries to his knee look pretty bad and cost them a lot of time topic is by far the best passer in the draft there’s no one even close to him uh he’s got eyes in the back of his head but there are just too many red flags he’s shooting his bad he’s got injury concerns and we don’t even know if he’s actually 66 since he wasn’t at the combine jacobe Walter and Cody Williams are known as the cardio Bros to me these guys can occasionally score the basketball outside of that though they do nothing uh they they just run around I actually was going to do I actually started videos on both of these guys but I got so annoyed watching them just run around like I got I watched about six games of these guys and they just they they do nothing for so much of the game uh it was impressive uh and this it speaks to how weak this draft is that these guys are being considered as top picks uh in the previous two drafts they would probably be like late first round and then borderline second final Prospect I wanted to talk about was Donovan kingan no one knows where he will be taken uh he’s the biggest mystery in this draft he’s an elite shot blocker who knows how to win but I just can’t see the since taking him I don’t think he’s that big of an upgrade over Jaylen durran except for the fact that he’s taller than Duran you know 610 versus 72 last note on the fifth pick is it’s possible we trade it uh langon is known for making big trades he landed the Nets D’Angelo Russell which results in them making the playoffs same thing happened with CJ McCullum for the Pelicans so I could see langon in the Pistons packaging this fifth pick with either Ivy or stew uh I would say assar and Duran aren’t safe either especially with Troy’s future with the team up in the air and that ws with this video hopefully we get an intro press conference sometime this week for langden from there we can hear more of his thought process on what he has in
