yo what’s going on guys we’re hearing that Kenny Atkinson yes Mr Kenny you know right here is maybe potentially going to be that coach of the gavel ears I love it Kenny Kenny’s a monster a Savage he’s a guy no BS at all and he’s so much fun to watch so for me I I think he’s the best coach available right now but we’re also hearing Johnny Bryant so the reports coming from Jason Lloyd of the athletic Golden State Warriors assistant coach getting ainson forward BR Brooklyn new Nets coach is considered to be the leader to the next Cavaliers head coach ainson worked with Cavaliers player Jared Allen and Carris lebert when he was the Brooklyn n’s head coach another CID to keep an eye on is New York Knicks assistant coach Johnny Bryan Bryan was an assistant with the Utah Jazz when current Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell was there Cavaliers owner Dan Gilberts was also reportedly more involved in the hiring the team’s next coach than originally anticipated Gilbert has been heavily involved in the hiring process at other points during his 10 years however Gilbert was relatively hands off when they hired JB Baker staff a few years ago now Johnny Bryant if you guys don’t know Johnny Bryant is he’s the guy that I needed I’ve talked about him last year I really like Johnny Bryan he’s a guy who played for the University of Utah or yeah he played college basketball at the University of Utah uh before that he was at the Community College of San Francisco he worked as a Utah Jazz assistant for like 7 years six years and then when they eventually moved off of some of their staff I believe near the end uh did was he not renewed or did he go was he poached to the Knicks so he was brought up under Quinn Snider all right he’s a player development assistant and he worked with the Utah Jazz with Paul milp and he also like ran a a training you know program called Brian Sports and he worked with Damen Lillard but he was brought over to the Knicks in 2020 which coincides with when Tom thid came over so which means that he probably wasn’t you know he was poached he wasn’t let go he was poached by the Knicks and it makes sense a good player development guy personally in my opinion you hire Kenny Atkinson even though people write that Kenny Atkinson’s a Player Development coach Kenny hinson’s a No Nonsense we’ll get this team to continue to play defense but he’s a very creative you know minded coach in my opinion he’s a guy who get a good staff around them and he he’s he’s a guy that you you better believe he can get the job done now I do personally believe a guy like Johnny Bryant if they hire Johnny it’s due to the fact that they believe that Johnny is going to be a guy that is going to help them keep Donovan Mitchell here me if they hire Johnny Bryant it means Donovan Mitchell is staying and that I would go out and put money on Donovan if Donovan Mitchell hasn’t signed an extension and they hire Johnny Bryant I bet you Donovan Mitchell is getting an extension so for me I don’t know I just I look at this situation as a way for for them to to improve their coaching and I have nothing against Johnny Bryan I just know Kenny ainson is a good coach and if they were finding JB bigger sou to get a good coach a better Coach then you would hire Kenny ainson but if you fire JB Baker staff because Donovan Mitchell didn’t like him and you want to hire somebody that Donovan Mitchell likes and would stay for then you’re Hing Johnny Bryant in my opinion that’s my two cents

Kenny Atkinson is the current favorite to land the Cavaliers’ head coaching job, but Johnnie Bryant is gaining some momentum, per @ByJasonLloyd.

Bryant, the Knicks’ associate head coach, is very close with Donovan Mitchell from their time together on the Jazz.

If Bryant gets the job, it could point towards Mitchell signing long-term in Cleveland.
