thank you for joining us on NBA unplugged man listen you know talking about me and my my long stint with the Philadelphia 76ers there’s not a ncks fan out there that can’t relate or understand the same now granted you guys did do your job this season and do work and get rid of us so I I unfortunately am not in a position to talk the level of trash that I normally would so what I have to do I had to give you I have to give you the stage to give you your flowers and just say man what a phenomenal scene you got to see your guys go out and do work despite you your injury you saw your guys step up and do amazing things my question to you coming out the gate is how excited are you for New York Nick basketball in the future I mean after seeing this run after seeing these guys really really pull together and become the team uh that the world got to see as well just what is your feeling of the future uh I’m excited man you know um it’s my fifth season being a Nick and uh you know I was here when we was winning 15 games and you know we were coming you know scratching car from the bottom you know to see where we at now and you know understand you know the potential of our team the opportunity that we got I’m excited you know so it just motivates me to you know head into the offseason and really get to work talking about the off seon um we can’t talk about the offseason of course not talking about the postseason and although right now you’re not in it we are watching because we all love the game of basketball you know seeing the Celtics play like they’ve been playing um you know I mean they’re really jelling and at the same time seeing the Dallas Mavericks jail you know what is your uh what are your projections for the NBA finals this season who do you see in it and who do you see winning it I mean it looks like Boston Dallas uh but um I mean I I like Dallas man you know um just for me I look at you know how team is playing you know timing the things and uh you know Dallas they just look like a great team they really got it rolling they look like they really like playing for one another you know they help each other out out there they just look like a team man and uh I mean I think a lot of that goes to Luka obviously but Kyrie man I think his Spirit has really rubbed off on that team and they all playing for each other we uh we talked earlier just about the onew combinations in the NBA and Har spank you guys can help me more with this but we were just talking about the jayen brown the Jason Tatum and that’s how the conversation attached them of old which is negative just like are these guys going to get it done are they going to keep these guys together they going to have to blow the team up Etc but it seems like they’re jelling more and more as the postseason continues so when we talk about the possibility of a Celtics and Dallas um you know Meetup I mean do you see this one two combination from both sides being one for like the record books cuz I don’t think the game has ever seen this in the finals uh I mean we saw kyy BR Steph clay like we been seen like some some good finals recently uh we seen D way yeah I don’t know this this is going to be tough man cuz all of these guys those four guys are extremely skilled they play uh at extremely high level you know make extremely difficult shots uh and they have high basketball I you um you know so typically I feel like it’s going to come down to uh everybody else you know it’s going to come down to the Drew holidays and um you know the Derek whites uh for Boston and you know the PJ Washington and those guys we’ll see H I know you had questions too yeah for sure Julius this is Harry uh throughout your career you’ve you’ve went the whole Gambit playing on playing on a iconic franchise like the Lakers and now with the Knicks is the media frenzy and playing in those cities how much does it actually affect a player say playing in Indiana you throwing shots uh no um it just depends uh I mean it just depend at the end of the day uh it’s basketball man so that’s really what it come down to it’s not really uh don’t really matter about what you know somebody has to say or what this person says about you really only matters what you think and you know the goal of the game is go out there and win the game you know what I mean so that’s really what it come down to at the end of the day I’m not really thinking about that out there gotcha uh Julius this is John I got a question for you how is that shoulder healing up man it’s healing up great you know I spent so much time uh rehabing before I spent like two and a half months rehabing before so when I came out of uh shoulder surgery uh like I I was recovering pretty fast um you know all my muscles around my shoulder and stuff was strong uh so you know I’ve been healing up great uh but taking my time obviously you know not in the rush uh but I like where I’m at for sure well how difficult was it for you to miss the playoffs this year and watching your guys out there battle bro it was terrible it was terrible uh to be able not to be out that’s what you play for you know especially me I’m my 10th year in the league see what they got going on all bet I’m in it’s the you know ain’t nothing about to happen no it’s the N it’s yeah it’s the NBA it’s all all pushing no action the NBA AC that’s it you action listen all you got to do is ask about me come on man you go to my church league footage look I’m the first one to throw hands I’m the first one that’s why that’s why they had to Bann me Harry they baned me well they s foot listen don’t think we didn’t have big pastors we was the only church with a 7 foot2 Pastor my goodness and another and another church and another church in the east coast they had a pastor that day he played in hard bottom shoes he play hard bottoms I told you that I told you that did he have wheels on the bottom of his shoes no I told y’all that I told y’all about in Stacy uh listen I Julius you got to help settle a debate all right right now okay there was a physical altercation so they got a little dead space so I’m going to ask you this question we’re having a hard debate the debate is do we feel like Drew holiday is a Hall of Fame point guard I’m going to tell you my stance I said that he is I said that Drew Drew has won a championship he is an amazing defensive presence that has an amazing uh abundance of defensive accomplishments and is an NBA Allstar if we were to go and say it’s all said and done for him today would you say that he has the makeup of a Hall of Fame point guard in the National Basketball Association well you gonna ask me I’m a little biased man because I played with Drew for a year uh and Drew was one of my favorite teammates I’ve ever played with uh in my career so I’m gonna be a little biased and say yes but I mean if you want to just talk about actual accomplishments and like winning and what sets him apart you know I mean he got all stars obviously like you said he got Championship competing for another one uh he got Olympic gold medal competing for another one this summer multiple all defensive teams like dude he’s a beast you know from that from that guard position you ask anybody in the league who’s the hardest player to go against I guarantee you drew is going to be at the top of a lot of people list so and it’s been like that for a while so Julius Julius I just want to make this very clear so what you’re saying is that Harry is wrong is that what you’re saying of are you saying also said he’s biased yeah he also prefaced it by saying he might but then he also went down a slew of stats attached to attached to that man first one to debate J is because he a Hall of Famer well look look let me just ask you this what makes him your f one of your favorite uh persons to play with because you play with him like what made him one of your favorite people to play with well he definitely just explained it John he he ran down a list he he won that’s what I he affects winning he affects winning like he can that’s what I want look at that look at that last game look at the last game of how they won that last game like he had I don’t know how many points he had but you know he does things like he does at the end it wasn’t about the points it was about that stop that he made at the end of the game exactly exactly he’s been doing that his whole career but he yeah and he can go get you 30 40 but he don’t have to to affect one you know Julius I’m gonna when you talk to NBA great like yourself you have to set the stage for them just to make good points so another point was made and our debate you got to keep in mind we’re basketball fans so we don’t have the knowledge that you guys have let me correct that they don’t have the knowledge that you guys have you got it I agree no I’m saying as an NBA great y’all don’t share NBA success sh so here another here’s see I didn’t have to say that he knew that you see it he know that St you understand that the everybody know that everybody know yes Julius everybody also know he pays for likes Julius this is a this is a big thing it came up and and and a conversation came up it said if you had a choice between Tim Hardaway of old and Drew holiday today in our debate the conversation came up and someone said I take some harder that and they got mad at me because I AR it I said well you can’t take Tim Hardway over Drew holiday I said Drew holiday has done more not to say that Tim hard isn’t an amazing point guard and the amazing face of the league but I ask you who would you take if there’s an opportunity to get Tim Hardway of old and Drew holiday today Tim Hardway senior by the way yes he knows we’re talking about senior I I’m taking Drew I’m taking there’s no disrespect to the OG I love the OG but I’m just no disrespect to the OG at all he didn’t he didn’t he didn’t do the he didn’t get it done you were seeing the Indiana Pacers give shot after shot and what I mean by that they’re giv examples of great team basketball but the Boston Celtics just seem to never go away like in moments like this is it demoralizing to a team like how do you go back to these timeouts when you feel like you’re giving your all and a team just withstands your best punches you got to stay in the moment that was tough can’t look too far ahead sh think about what’s going you got stay in the m and uh till that buzzer is over keep keep fighting uh Julius I got Julius I got a serious serious question for you uh I don’t like the Philadelphia 76ers serious question I do not like the 76ers at all I don’t really like the city of Philadelphia do you go for a Philly cheese steak or a chopped cheese which one do you like the best top cheese come on now y’all try to give you in trouble jul at this point at this point y’all got a great steak house was a great steakhous yeah you know what jul at this point I’m ask you to get your fat ass off our show okay that’s what I want you go get your chopped cheese you get off all he was your friend two minutes ago minutes ago holid BL BL tell you this I I I have to be a fair I have to be a fair fan and a fair friend the Nicks play great basketball man you guys are in great hands the future is bright man I’m looking forward to you coming back and I like the fact you’re going to come back healthy I’m I’m hoping that the whole rehab is exactly what you wanted to be man uh I can’t wait for you guys to get back on the floor be healthy in in in in a unit because we are going to be where we’re supposed to be so there understanding this year yeah you may have won the beginning phase but trust me when I tell you we will win the war we’ll be back Julius Jesus Christ we will be back you understand me we’ll be back and I say that seriously yeah that’s all that I don’t want to say nothing else to him I had to leave it just like that I got to leave you got you got that okay I got I I feel like I got it all he got that off I feel like I got it all just let me get that you let me get that jul I appreciate you for coming on man thank you so much we
