*Correction: a career 2nd option except for the 3 years he spent as a 3rd option.
This sent me down a rabbit hole to see where he was all-time (ie retired and active) and who he had more than all-time. He’s 27th in playoff points all-time and in addition to those he’s above in the screenshotted list of active players in this post, some notables he has more than:
– James Worthy (3,022; 143 GP) – Reggie Miller (2,972; 144 GP) – Clyde Drexler (2,963; 145 GP) – Ray Allen (2,749; 171 GP) – Charles Barkley (2,833; 123 GP) – **Bill Russell (2,673; 165 GP)** – Kevin Garnett (2,601; 143 GP) – Rasheed Wallace (2,384; 177 GP) – Gary Payton (2,155; 154 GP) – Allen Iverson (2,111; 71 GP) – Steve Nash (2,072; 120 GP)

Wouldn’t games played matter here? Warriors have played tons of playoff games. Isn’t he around 19 PPG playoffs?

What the hell is this supposed to even mean? He’s under appreciated? This sub has some real zingers

Curry’s teams did a lot of 4-0 and 3-1 series wins. You get more points taking it to 7 games. So if you’re better you play fewer games and score fewer overall points. In other words, that stat is not very meaningful.

I mean negative Klay discourse is only relevant since his return from injury. Everyone here loves prime Klay. This is also more of a volume stat than anything. Can’t imagine he’d be very high up on a per game basis.
Not sure how to check since stat muse is paywalled now, but he’s not even in the top 25 for playoff scorers since 22.

Thank you. I saw a fucking “Klank” on another post on this sub. Literally makes my blood boil. How can anyone forget what he’s done for the team, for the fans, and how he suffered through those 2 long years. Klay Day is still unforgettable. He was what, top 4/5 in the league for 3 pointers last year, sure his defence is not as good, but one poor play-in game does not equal washed.
All5TonySpivey
Most of the negative Klay discourse on here is not about his volume scoring or lack thereof

Klay is amazing, hands down. He’s been the first option in MANY situations.
GS needs to keep him until the end of the road for Steph and Dray.

Not with me brahhh, check the receipts, Klay ride or die, Klaymen.
Vallerie_09
JT is really going to surpass him and Curry in cumulative stats

None of this means shit when the criticism is that he’s getting old and not that same contributor he once was.

You didn’t have to capitalize Tatum. He’s staying put on the list unless they take the Mavs to 7 games and he averages 44.
