The shot that forever changed our team. It has been 25 years since the Memorial Day Miracle. Still amazing to this day.

My favorite player of all time. Loved watching Sean Elliott play.

  2. Still and always the greatest shot in Spurs history. People forget that at the time, many felt that the Blazers might have the better team and had just given away game 1.

After the MDM they were completely broken. Timmy had his worst-ever playoff games in game 3 and the Spurs still destroyed them.

Coincidentally also the very 1st Spurs game I ever watched.

That’s the shot that started it all. Before that shot there was lots of heartbreak and disappointment. We were that soft team that couldn’t win a big game. Going into that series everyone in the city kind of expected the worst but hoped for the best because we had always fallen short. I was at that game a season ticket holder back then and we trailed the whole game and you just had that sinking feeling we would lose that game then get run over game 3 and 4. Sean got hot all of a sudden but he had never been clutch where you expect him to hit a big shot and the Spurs had never hit a big shot in the playoffs. When Sean shot the ball I remember screaming noooo because there was still so much time and couldn’t believe he shot it so quick and from the angle I was sitting all I saw was the net flick so I couldn’t tell if it went in or air balled lol. It wasn’t till the crowd screamed with joy and I saw the replay I was stunned and didn’t know what to do I just stood there like “did that happen”. There was still a few seconds left so I didn’t wanna go nuts then be disappointed and it was so Spurs to end up losing after that amazing shot by Sean but Portland missed and I lost my mind. After that this franchise has been different a complete 360 from what we once were. It’s amazing how one moment can shift everything and we go from never good enough to one of the most dominant and historic franchises in the NBA.
