Darius would be fully maximized on a team where the leading scoring is a forward or center.
You don’t often see the star players being a PG and SG for a reason. Theres a lot of overlap between those two positions and you maximize a players talents by having a stronger player at guard and forward then having 2 on either the frontcourt or backcourt

TL:DR: Until Garland learns to play offball, he will never be a winning player. It doesn’t matter who he is next to.
Can’t say I disagree.
And they only looked at the offensive side of the ball. They don’t even mention the defensive side.

As a Garland apologist, I was dismayed by his showing in Game 5 of the series against Boston, when he got repeatedly stopped on drives to the hoop by old-ass Al Horford. Like, drive after drive after drive. No disrespect to Al, but a supposedly dynamic guard should salivate at seeing an older big trying to guard him on the perimeter. And Garland proved incapable of making plays from what should have been an advantageous position. Watching that just capped what has been a season of undeniable regression from him. I couldn’t help but wonder if the problem is physical or mental.

He needs to stop getting hit in the face.
