Zaccharie Risacher’s Playoff Performance + Draft Scenarios | SSPN Clips
okay final topic before we get into this Prospect breakdown Ethan Zachary rache has been going off recently in the lmbb playoffs in France I believe they actually played today to or no they don’t they didn’t play today they play this Thursday I was looking at their schedule because I was kind of I was seeing if maybe there’s a chance I could watch some um but there weren’t any games on yesterday and I was hoping there would be a French League playoff game on but there wasn’t 28 points six rebounds 11 for 16 overall 5 for9 from three one for two on free throws in 29 minutes the reason we bring this up is because whenever we had our guy Lou from Miami Heat beat in playoff foulon last week the two biggest things that he kind of criticized about racee which I understood in the moment I totally got where he was coming from the the stuff that I’d seen in the tape it kind of matched up with what he was saying he talked about you know his on ball creation we hadn’t really seen many flashes of that it was a lot of catch and shoot straight line drives and then on top of that in the biggest moments whether that be in FBA where he’s playing with Alex SAR for the French team um or you know previous years in the playoffs maybe you know we he hadn’t he’ kind of had some rough games but I don’t know if he was listening Ethan because his past two games since then specifically in the L&B playoffs he I don’t remember the stats for the last one but I’m pretty sure it was another 20-point performance of efficient shooting but here’s the thing it’s not just that he’s performing in the playoffs he’s taking people off the dribble hitting step backs dribbling around guys you know finishing through contact on dunks you know driving through the lane you know I mean and there’ll be traffic in the lane evading that to get to the rim I like I said I totally got where Lou was coming from but man these past couple games from him he’s been like the two things that you criticize him on he has been doing well you know what I mean and and so I was just kind of curious on your thoughts on that um and what you’ve seen from Zachary in these last couple games in the playoffs it is pretty remarkable that as soon as that video came out he had two back-to-back games where you’re right he was taking guys off the dribble he had some Shifty moves some step back threes um and obviously putting up crazy stats in playoff games which are obviously big high pressure games for him um yeah I mean I don’t want to overstate like it is just two games right like we still have to be willing to look at at the bigger picture here and I think that Lou brought up a lot of good points about his his kind of one-dimensional style of play and thinking that maybe we can get somebody with his skill set as a three and D explosive player later in the draft or even in free agency at a lesser cost than the fourth overall pick um like I’m still high on rache like I I I still think he’s going to be a real quality player I think that these two games only only uh boost his draft stock at the end of the day um but I I just don’t see him being available even still at four um I I still think Castle’s the guy for us at that fourth spot if he does slip and fall you know we have some things to think about right because as much as you do love Stefon Castle as much as I love Stefan Castle um Rach is a really solid Defender he is explosive he he is French and that that that plays a part into this um and and he is a three in D player that I think could immediately replace Julian champeny at that small forward spot as much as I love castle and you can make the argument if if Castle Falls or I’m sorry if rache Falls to four and we draft him um c will Castle be drafted five six and seven I think it’s a lot less likely for what did we just read exactly I think it’s a lot less likely for him to be drafted at 567 than it is for R Ashe to be drafted at 567 you know what I mean no for sure if we pass on rache he’s gone he’s not going to be there at um so that that’s the balance that the Spurs front office is going to have to figure out if he does slip past one two and three it’s is stefanon Castle if we if we really think that that’s the Spurs guy will he be there at eight because if there is a scenario where we get both of them Jude I’m going to be jumping for joy because we get two guys that are just potentially all defensive team level paired next to Victor wanyama who’s the first rookie to make all defensive first team and rash can shoot as well we immediately get two starters that are impactful Defenders we improve tremendously on that side of the ball and from this point forward we can start thinking about just kind of fluff because once our defense is set the rest of it just sprinkles yeah and not to just you said a lot there so I’m trying to figure out where I want to start what what I no you’re good you’re good what I with Zachary at four he is just a much more seamless fit than than Stefon now if Stefon were to fall to eight like when you’re saying this that just works out perfect because then Stefon gets to play point guard and with all the shooting questions you’re drafting Zachary at four you know what I mean like so you’ve got almost I don’t I don’t know exactly what Race’s percentages are but I know for a fact that he is a shooter like that is one of his biggest strengths that was one of the things that that Lou was commenting on like you know like complimenting him on in this that while he may be you know he was talking about him showing a lot of StraightLine drives and not a ton of b ball creation the one thing he never denied was his catch catch and shootability um I think he would just fit perfectly at that three position um we’ve seen wemi talk about him as well as the other guy that we’re about to get into here in a second um I mean that would just be a seamless fit if that happens at four I I if he slips to four it’s it’s going to be really hard for me to uh to pick somebody else and and I think it would be hard for the Spurs too yeah I would agree with that I think Peter brings up a good point though Castle gonna be gone at six to the Hornets the Hornets are the biggest conundrum at 567 because of the whole lamelo ball situation um is lamelo ball gonna be a name that the Spurs are at the top of the odds to to trade for like there’s high potential there and he next to Brandon Miller and uh who’s who’s the big Center they got was the last year the year before Mark Williams Nick Richards okay yeah that that that that’s a solid like Big Three to kind of build around for them so that that’s an interesting thing that I didn’t really think about yeah but regardless Zachary rache definitely showing flashes showing impressive flashes of the things that he has been criticized on um coming into the draft process so good to see if there is a potential scenario where he drops to four I really don’t see it happening um I know there’s been a lot of talk about the Wizards needing a point guard and I totally see that I to he he agrees he says the Wizards do need a point guard um I just don’t feel like the Wizards are in a position where they can lock themselves into a position in the draft and I think with what they saw from balal kabali last year year I think that is going to entice them to take another player uh from the same league that has had even more success than balal did last season right and here’s the other thing you know people might say oh well they play the same position I talked about this in the mock draft video that I did like right after the lottery um first of all they both can shoot so that kind of gives you versatility and actually there was something that came out today that I saw that apparently balal has now grown to 69 and I think he’s like 20 14 pounds or something like that the point is I think Zachary’s already 69 I think both of those guys well even at 69 like balal played the two last year at times and his skill set’s not going to change so I think they could still play him there if they wanted to but ideally you know in the modern NBA probably what I’d expect them to do if they were to pick both of them is play them together at both of the forward positions but with their length and then both like that you know what I mean you’re not you’re not even really playing small ball at that point point I’m trying to get here is even though they drafted balal last year I don’t think that there’s going to be a fit issue in Washington and if you want to bring up like kozma or something it’s like okay well kozma like that that’s not in the Wizard’s long-term future you know what I mean so I really I I think he’s gonna go it too um but if he fell a four everything that we’ve already talked about um I think are are definitely some reasons to consider him there yeah let’s be completely Frank and honest about the wizards they need everything yes so racee I think is probably I I would agree with that going at number two um if he doesn’t the Rockets would probably love to bring him in they have three right say it one more time Rockets have three right three a three the third pick yes sorry I was like are you talking about cam Whitmore that’s what I’m thinking my Dylan Brooks cam Whitmore I just I was just thinking like the Rockets are a weird one too like they’re they’re a team that could potentially trade back um but they’re also a team that you know they could use a backup big they could use a Fred Van vet replacement and Reed Shepard they could also use a racee like they they they could take all any of those guys the trouble with them is they’re kind of drafting someone to be off the bench I think um because I I think they’re starting five is pretty set yeah they’re a team that if rhe hits three I could totally see them drafting him as well to be a potential Dy Brooks replacement yeah especially if with his contract they might want to trade it off of that in the near not too distant future was that yeah it if he falls to three it would I mean it’s going to be hard that’s why I brought up Washington like it’s going to be hard to see him get through both of those but maybe there’s just some teams that you know they’re maybe the Wizards are really in love with tow pitch or something I’ve actually seen that mocked a little bit um and maybe there’s just a situation where the the Rockets are like we already have Cam Whitmore you know as much as Dylan Brooks as Dylan Brooks we we like him as a bench piece and just the veteran presence that he is and the experience he has we’d prefer to go with a reed Shepard to replace Fred Van vet you know maybe there is a world where where that happens but I with all of the basically every Mo uh big board mock draft other than the ringers has Zachary going like one or two or in the top three so it’s just kind of hard for me to see that but likewise

Risacher will likely go 1or 2. If so, Castle at 4 and Holland at 8
There's a realistic scenario, and although unlikely, we're the Spurs trade #4 and some additional picks to the hawks for #1
So basically he wont be there at 4. Time to move on and look at someone else.
